  1. Deebo is going to want Tyreek/ Adam's type $$$ and just asking for does not mean he'll get his wish granted
  2. and there is the catch it seems for the Chiefs and several other teams. The Team's price and his price don't match....yet.
  3. explain to me if no body wants him now why would someone trade for him later? Yea maybe an injury but that's a hell of a gamble.
  4. The Steelers’ website posted an item saying that the Steelers have an interest in signing Mathieu. However, the item said that the Steelers would want Mathieu to agree to a deal for “what they believe he is worth,” and that Mathieu may not agree with the Steelers’ assessment of what kind of contract he should get. That’s always the case for any free agent, of course, but it appears this offseason that teams aren’t placing as high a value on Mathieu as he was hoping for. Mathieu acknowledged he was disappointed by the Chiefs declining to bring him back, and interest from other teams appears to be lukewarm so far. The Rams, Eagles and Saints have all been reported to have interest in Mathieu, although reports have suggested that he’s not particularly close to signing with anyone.
  5. hard not to admire that hit tho but yea my distain for that entire Broncos team knows no end
  6. all those late picks can be packaged later on in a trade for a player or earlier draft pick on down the line
  7. Why Chiefs are unlikely to sign more free agents until after 2022 NFL draft The Kansas City Chiefs still have a number of ways they can improve their team via free agency, but they’re likely waiting until after the 2022 NFL draft to make any more big free-agent signings. Fans have been clamoring for a big signing at cornerback and edge rusher, with names like Stephon Gilmore and Melvin Ingram often mentioned for Kansas City. A lot of people would feel better about the team’s needs heading into the draft if the team made more additions, but NFL teams aren’t necessarily looking at it that way at this point of the year. Right now, teams are playing a numbers game and balancing compensatory free agents versus non-compensatory free agents. With the most recent signings in Kansas City (Ronald Jones and Taylor Stallworth) their contracts didn’t qualify them for the compensatory pick formula. A team like the Chiefs stands to lose compensatory draft capital in 2023 if they were to make another free agent signing ahead of the draft. The benefit of waiting to sign a player like Gilmore or Ingram after the draft is that on May 10, those signings will no longer count toward the compensatory pick formula, even if they sign a contract that would previously qualify them.
  8. Arrowheadlines: Calais Campbell turned down the Chiefs to re-sign with the Ravens
  9. yea but HB aint worth no 10 Mil..not in my book maybe with incentives like making a F'n tackle
  10. he's certainly worth a 5th or 6th..not a feature back in the NFL IMO but certainly has skills
  11. Mathieu also said that he would have likely accepted the same offer that the Chiefs made to Reid. “To be honest, if they would’ve offered me Justin Reid’s deal, obviously I would’ve tried to negotiate, but if that’s where they drew their line in the sand, I probably would’ve took it,” Mathieu said. “I probably would’ve took it. Agents are going to do their thing, but at the end of the day, it’s the player’s decision whether to sign it or not.”
  12. After taking an in-person visit with the New Orleans Saints earlier this week, Mathieu now has his next visit on the docket. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Mathieu will take a virtual visit with the Philadelphia Eagles. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo adds that the Eagles have been one of the teams showing the most interest in Mathieu during this free agency period, despite not having much money to work with, saying the Eagles have “remained in touch.” Mathieu’s free agent market appears to be heating up after it started off quite cold. The visit with the Saints, which ended without a deal, seems to have prompted the virtual meeting with Philadelphia brass.
  13. SIGNED: Derrick Gore has signed his exclusive rights free agent tender and will return to the #Chiefs in 2022, per ESPN.
  14. earlier in another thread I had provided a link to an article that Tyreek's feeling were taken into consideration. Hard to blame Cheetah, Weather/ no Income tax compared to high taxes and an overall shitty place...kinda no brainer.
  15. Word is that the Seahags turned down Jets 10th pick. I think that pretty much says it all about this subject.
