The Kansas City Chiefs announced a pair of roster moves on Sunday. After passing his physical and returning from the non-football injury list earlier this week, Chiefs TE Nick Keizer has retired from the NFL. Keizer was dealing with a back injury suffered away from the team. Clearly, it’s something more severe than initially let on. The team described Keizer’s injury as back spasms on the first day of training camp. Placement on the Reserve/Retired list means that the Chiefs maintain Keizer’s rights if he were to return and play. Keizer was tendered a restricted free agent contract this offseason and set to make $780K this season in Kansas City. In addition to Keizer’s retirement, the Chiefs announced that they had signed OG Bryan Witzmann. The veteran guard had been on the Chiefs’ roster earlier in the offseason but was released ahead of rookie minicamp

yea you need to excuse old Fumblitis ..he can get pretty glass 1/2 full at times but he gets it honest. If you seen as many dead bodies as he has from all the different types of causes you might of gotten that way too by the time you get his age. Being a Dr being overly cautious is not necessarily a bad thing IMO

maybe? I dunno seen lots of players with Helmets on their mantel . I figure they are custom made for each person so maybe the player buys them? Your guess is as good as mine but I'm not ready to believe that he has a new helmet and has yet to be signed.

have to wonder ..was he just training with a helmet and his old one was al he had? or is there a cryptic message in that pic? Could it be maybe the Chiefs just dont want him and the Bridge was burnt not from the Chiefs end but his? You certainly dont train like that with the thoughts of retiring.
