  1. until they do set the cap $ it puts the re-negotiations etc behind the 8 ball as well as any FA a team might entertain..probably should happen shortly tho
  2. Good for him certainly outpriced anything the Chiefs could of come up with Philadelphia Eagles agree to new 1-year, $9M restructured deal with Jason Kelce Glenn Erby Fri, March 5, 2021, 10:15 AM Philadelphia Eagles Jason Kelce The Eagles will have star center Jason Kelce back in 2021 and the Pro Bowler will $9 million in new money and potentially could earn $12 million in incentives. According to Over The Cap, Kelce had one year left on his deal and three dummy years, with no guaranteed money left. Kelce had been contemplating retirement this offseason and the three-time All-Pro announced on Instagram that he restructured his contract and will be in Philly for his 11th season.
  3. I hope your wife turns into a Raider fan so there!
  4. Thats shame! an underutilized option in the back field who I thought could of been the 2nd coming of TRich if given the chance. Woulda been great in Marty Ball
  5. I can tell you most assuredly that he does have
  6. if he was to make $9 mil I'm sure he won't lower his price to something the Chiefs could afford and he's 30 yo. Seems to some 30 is the kiss of death. In my fantasy world the Chiefs would sign Gabe and Kelce, draft a swing tackle withe the #1 pick even if it meant trading up and ride with it
  7. yea.. read a piece earlier out of Arizona that altho the chances of a Ring are better with ARog .the Cards made him an offer he couldn't refuse + he had a familiarity with the defensive coach. I wonder now with him out of Houston whether his "Icon" status will follow? His contract is only 2 years and much of his notoriety was with his work in Houston during the Hurricane..maybe that went into his calculation to go to the highest bidder? Its not as if he went to a sucky team maybe a C+ /B- but he'd certainly not the last piece to get them to the SB. Now let's see if they can affod Peterson..maybe trading one ol foogy for another
  8. you have a point on Watkins.. the 2 injuries to the tackles is just bad luck..not much you can do to prevent that but what is preventable is have no quality depth .. thats on Veach
  9. agreed..not sure what the draw is in AZ that division is brutal
  10. announced he's going to the Cradinals The Arizona Cardinals got a major boost to their defensive line Monday with J.J. Watt announcing he was signing with the team.Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, it's a two-year deal worth $31 million, with $23 million guaranteed.
  11. since they asked MVPatrick who he wanted.. I'd say that means something as if an RB was on their list but thought it was a multiple choice answer
  12. Vera-Tucker is a plug-and-play starter basically anywhere on the line. that sure sounds like what the Chiefs need so IF Schwartz and or Fish come back and maybe if we could land Jason Kelce it'd sure go a long way to O-line improvement for next year. From what I can tell the Chiefs would have to move up about 10 spots.. that hurts
  13. Texans cut center Nick Martin; save $6.25 million in salary cap space Mark Lane Fri, February 26, 2021, 4:21 PM The Houston Texans announced Friday they have released starting center Nick Martin. The move will cost the Texans $2.5 million in dead money against the salary cap, but saves the team $6.25 million. Martin was due $8.75 million in 2021. The former 2016 second-round pick from Notre Dame missed only two games in his four seasons with the Texans. The 27-year-old had a down year in 2020 as his bad snaps in December may have cost the Texans some games, although it is unfair to pin Houston’s disastrous 4-12 season entirely on those snaps. However, they were part of the mosaic of failure and missed opportunity that comprised Houston’s disappointing finish. Martin was hoping to use the bad season in 2020 as motivation to turn the Texans around in 2021. “There’s no doubt it’s motivation,” Martin told reporters on Jan. 4. “We’ve made the playoffs and we know we have the taste of playoffs and that’s the goal is to get back there and continue to win games. Not making it, it hurts. But it’s been, as everyone knows out there, an incredibly tough year. A year of, when you reflect, you learn a lot about yourself, about your teammates. “One thing I’m so proud of this team is the way we fought. We easily could have packed it in weeks ago. We didn’t. We fought every game. We scratched, we clawed and obviously we didn’t get the outcome we wanted because at the end of the day people chalk it up wins and losses and that’s how you’re measured. But we definitely fought, and that’s just a testament to the guys in this locker room and on this team.” Martin will have to continue the fight in another NFL city as the Texans continue to reshuffle their roster in attempt to have a fresh, optimistic start with general manager Nick Caserio and coach David Culley.
  14. I mean seriously?? Brown at least has some playing time in the NFL .. Wilson who is the unproven disappointment from the titans who has proven nothing but the negative accusations thrown at him are legit. talk about the ying and the yang
  15. if they are on the verge of cutting him I dont think the Titans value him one lil bit and think he's a waste of air..which he probably is
  16. https://subscribers.footballguys.com/teams/teampage-kan-6.php 2nd in DB snap counts only to the Badger ..now how does that qualify as a "starter"? Badger 979 Dirty Dan 879 Fun fact other than the Badger , MVPat and Kelce he played the most snaps//put that in your pipe and smoke it
  17. Chiefs make sense as trade partner for Titans on 2020 first-round OT Isaiah Wilson Charles Goldman Fri, February 26, 2021, 6:45 AM The Tennessee Titans are destined for a split with a former first-round draft pick, Georgia OT Isaiah Wilson. The two have been trending this way after a tumultuous 2020 season and now there is even more evidence that the two parties plan to part ways. A new report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says that the Titans are open to trading Wilson. At face value, Wilson’s 2020 season makes him look untouchable. He had a number of off-the-field issues such as a DUI arrest, suspension and stint on the non-football injury list. He played a single game as a rookie and only for three total offensive snaps, largely due to his off-the-field problems. Despite the ugliness of Wilson’s rookie year, the Kansas City Chiefs do make some sense as a trade partner. Beyond the very apparent need at the offensive tackle position, no team in the NFL has shown more willingness to take on so-called “reclamation projects” since Brett Veach took over as general manager. It has worked out for the Chiefs to varying degrees of success, with players like Reggie Ragland, Cam Erving, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Darron Lee all making some sort of contributions in Kansas City after they were acquired in a trade. Specifically, in regards to Wilson, the Chiefs have some players on their roster who might have a direct line on the type of player and person that Wilson is and what he needs to succeed. Mecole Hardman and DeAndre Baker both played with Wilson at the University of Georgia. Baker, of course, could even be considered the latest “reclamation project” taken on by the team. The former first-round draft pick signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad this past season. Baker was released by the Giants after he was charged in an alleged armed robbery. He was eventually cleared of those charges. Now, just because the Titans are shopping Wilson, it doesn’t mean they’ll get anything for him. He certainly won’t net a high draft pick after his rookie year. At best, it feels like Tennessee is looking at a conditional draft pick situation where they’ll need to bet on a team’s ability to turn Wilson around in order to get anything in return. The only bit of leverage the Titans would seem to have in a trade is the fifth-year option attached to his rookie contract. The Titans could even end up releasing him, which would make him a bit tougher to acquire for Kansas City, but it certainly wouldn’t take him off the table. All-in-all, I’d expect the Chiefs to do their homework on this one. If they feel like they can rein him in and get his career trajectory back on the right path, this could be a good match. If not, they’ll move onto other options.
  18. sounds like Jr Savaii prt 2..non motivated head case..maybe give them a 7th rnd... they'll cut him anyway
  19. ESPN’s top draftnik, Mel Kiper Jr., has released a brand new 2021 NFL mock draft. In this projection, Kiper makes a very interesting and risky pick for the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 31, selecting Stanford OT Walker Little. Following the 2018 season, Little was in the conversation to be one of the top offensive tackles in college football. Things are now much less clear as Little has played in just a single game over the past two seasons. In 2019, Little suffered a season-ending knee injury in his first game of the year against Northwestern. When he returned to health in 2020, he opted out before the season began in order to prepare for the 2021 NFL draft. Here’s what Kiper had to say about his choice:
