  1. this is his last year on his contract but I'm not so sure about not signing another 2-3 year deal. Some good $$ to be had holding a clip board just ask Chase Daniel https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/los-angeles-chargers/chase-daniel-7081/ I mean look 3 year for $10 M with the chiefs and 3 year $21M with the Eagles. MVPatrick is due for a injury or two and to win those games really ups his value..
  2. I expect CJ to be in camp Monday as it will be the first day back in KC
  3. I have my doubts that's the way it'd work out and the Chiefs get any pic(s) worth a hoot
  4. just say no to $33M on another tag..makes him all but untradeable.
  5. If you look at the Pats SB appearances it seems there are couple of stretches' with multiple appearances in a row then with 2-4 year gaps. I think we should expect something similar just because of player turnover and continued length of Andy's career Super Bowl 53 Feb. 3, 2019 Patriots 13, Rams 3 Super Bowl 52 Feb. 4, 2018 Eagles 41, Patriots 33 Super Bowl 51 Feb. 5, 2017 Patriots 34, Falcons 28 Super Bowl 49 Feb. 1, 2015 Patriots 28, Seahawks 24 Super Bowl 46 Feb. 5, 2012 Giants 21, Patriots 17 Super Bowl 42 Feb. 3, 2008. Giants 17, Patriots 14 Super Bowl 39 Feb. 6, 2005 Patriots 24, Eagles 21 Super Bowl 38 Feb. 1, 2004 Patriots 32, Panthers 29 Super Bowl 36 Feb. 3, 2002 Patriots 20, Rams 17 Super Bowl 31 Jan. 26, 1997 Packers 35, Patriots 21 Super Bowl 20 Jan. 26, 1986 Bears 46, Patriots 10
  6. disagree especially with the WR's dropping like flies
  7. I'm a MIZZOU Homer but not a fan of Gabbert..never understood his high pick
  8. so much for all that Fortson crap why we didn't need to pick a TE in the draft. I feel bad for the kid
  9. as if that's a bad thing I mean if the chiefs cant get to at the least the AFCCG then I'd rather them suck really bad for draft picks
  10. I dont think Andy plays that game..develop and trade or dont develop and get cut. This is Shane's last year under contract..JMO but he either takes the #2 Qb job or adios but regardless he wont be getting paid multi millions
  11. I didn't see any of that.. by not caving in to ludicrous demands is a feather in Veach's cap if anything, IF it goes to the trade scenario the judgment will be what he gets for him. signing CJ in no way guarantees another SB and if that is your insinuation ..well then Bless Your heart. That being said I'm in line with Burp's thinking as well and many of comments I have read on other sites have evolved to that way of thinking. CJ is wearing out his welcome I'm afraid. Trade deadline is Oct 31 and both CJ & Veach are on the clock
  12. other than the financial #'s which are extremely enlightening the rest of this article was a big nothing burger the first sentence of the Bottom Line sums it up in my mind. I don't recall the word Intelligence and CJ being used together in a sentence
  13. Gabberts contract certainly does not guarantee anything but extra QB Room input from someone who shared a qb room with GOAT he 33-year-old received a veteran salary benefit with a $1.165 million base salary in 2023. He’ll also get a $152K signing bonus and $940K guaranteed at signing. During the 2023 NFL season, he’ll count $1,092,500 against the salary cap. They’re not saving much against the cap with this type of VSB contract, but they’re also not paying the full amount. Right now, Gabbert’s contract comes in with the 31st biggest cap hit for Kansas City.
  14. is there not some sort of new Emergency QB rule now? It was my impression that #6 Dunkin Donut was supposed to be the PS Qb
  15. if anybody didn't see CJ coming back after Training Camp in Liberty is over you willfully blinded yourself and caused yourself unneeded stress
  16. I'm pretty sure no one mentioned the mortgaging of the future but just showing him the door without compensation of draft picks in plain lunacy..
