  1. Arguably the top offensive tackle on the market, Mike McGlinchey has agreed to sign Denver on a four-year deal, according to multiple reports. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, McGlinchey’s deal is worth $87.5 million with over $50 million guaranteed. McGlinchey was a 49ers first-round pick in 2018 and became an immediate starter for the club. San Francisco picked up his fifth-year option in the spring of 2021 but did not sign him to an extension. McGlinchey was No. 11 on PFT’s top 100 free agents.
  2. seeing on the Jags wire saying this guy was only good this year and Lawrence made him look better than he really was
  3. it'd be the best O-line since Roaf, Waters, Shields and Wiegman
  4. I disagree. I highly doubt Veach is going to sit at 31 and until told other wise believe we have yet to see our true LT on the roster
  5. my rationalization for giving that $$ to a stud RT is that by drafting a "real" LT the Chiefs think they can afford it. 60M guaranteed yea but I'm no capologist and I trust Veach in that regard. Until I hear someone from the Front office say the word LT I'm still thinking RT
  6. $20 M a year to a RT and convert him to a LT? I dont get it. Has he played LT before? I guess not He has only played right tackle in the NFL, Still hoping to Draft a real LT
  7. They do have the right of first refusal with this tender, which means they will have the opportunity to match any offers. IF they let him go they get no Comp pick because he was undrafted, IF he signs his Tender with the Chiefs he's due $2.67M making him the Highest paid Punter but just for 1 year then he'll be a UFA
  8. https://fansided.com/2023/03/12/nfl-rumors-odell-beckham-jr-asking-price/?a_aid=45978&fbclid=IwAR0P_Tk2ccQY7Sxc7iR4F-XZjoGE5h0-gtmbVoiNO4Xki-pB5arHNErRPO8 NFL rumors: Odell Beckham Jr.’s asking price Beckham is seeking a $20 million contract, but that will likely be a topped-out price due to incentives. The guaranteed money, due to Beckham Jr.’s history of injuries, will be closer to the $10 million mark. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk discussed this in a recent article: “(His contract) will actually be something like a one-year, $7 million contract with a team option after one year to unlock up to three real years followed by a phony final year that pushes the total average to $20 million annually.” Beckham Jr.’s workout was for 12 teams, and took place this past week. Just last season, he flirted with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Buffalo Bills, just to name a few. Even the Kansas City Chiefs had some scouts at this workout, as they could stand to lose two of their top wideouts in free agency. While Beckham is no longer the All-Pro caliber wide receiver he once was, he was explosive with the Rams and his recent workout form suggests he can get to that level of play again.
  9. too many teams seems to be interested in him/ I dont think he does another 1 year and someone is bound to over pay, just a gut feeling and your definition of "massive" and mine may be different. He's not getting cheetah $$ but I'd think with incentives $10-15 M not that he's worth it.
  10. not sure about this..seems awfully cheap https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/2023/2/2/23583379/pff-projects-arizona-cardinals-free-agent-contracts-2023-nfl-free-agents-zach-allen-byron-murphy-jr DI ZACH ALLEN, ARIZONA CARDINALS Contract Projection: Three years, $37.5 million ($12.5M per year); $26 million total guaranteed
  11. yea I'm not thinking we need to mortgage the farm ..seems to be a fairly deep OT class
  12. Chiefs to host Stephen F. Austin EDGE BJ Thompson on top-30 visit The Kansas City Chiefs continue to bring players in for top-30 visits, this time hosting a standout from the East-West Shrine Bowl. According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Chiefs are one of two teams (along with the Detroit Lions) hosting Stephen F. Austin EDGE BJ Thompson on a top-30 visit Thompson, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds with 34-inch arms, is expected to perform extremely well at his pro day on March 21. He suggests that the edge rusher boasts 4.4 speed, a 40-inch vertical, and a 135-inch broad jump. Those would rival the athletic testing of Georgia EDGE Nolan Smith, Watching his tape, Thompson is much more of a threat to win with speed off the edge than he is with power. His first step is explosive, which was showcased in the East-West Shrine Bowl when he recorded four total tackles, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits.
  13. Chiefs tender restricted free agent P Tommy Townsend With free agency on the horizon, the Kansas City Chiefs are taking care of some contracts for restricted and exclusive rights free agents. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Chiefs have given P Tommy Townsend a “low” tender. As an undrafted free agent, that means Kansas City would get no compensation if he signs an offer sheet with another team and they choose not to match. They do have the right of first refusal with this tender, which means they will have the opportunity to match any offers, If Townsend is not signed to an offer sheet and signs his tender, he’ll earn a one-year contract worth $2.627 million in 2023.
  14. Sad.. even sadder he was not in the HOF decades ago. Now watch the HOF will induct him after it's too late. I remember him catching a 1 handed TD pass right in front of me at the old Municipal Stadium vs the Redskins whom IIRC where undefeated that time. It was a thing of beauty!
