  1. you are correct!! Will be curious if an extension is in the works
  2. agreed. I mean the FT would of been a bit pricey at $14M but an Transition $11.8... is he's worth that?
  3. very true but it'll be acceptable IF it's a draft pick just because he's a rookie or a mid tier FA LT on the cheap. Ya dont sign a $20M LT then have to game plan around deficiencies
  4. I dont think you'll see him get "stupid $$" unless possibly from the Bears but the Bears have enough high draft picks that they could draft one as well. It wil be interesting to see what he gets and by whom
  5. Yea If I where to be an NFL Qb he'd be the one I'd want to be. That was easy $$$$
  6. oh rush me to the burn unit OBTW your past history as an interweb hard guy is on record. tges58.

  10. Chiefs to host Western Kentucky DT Brodric Martin on top-30 visit According to The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler, Western Kentucky’s Brodric Martin has a top-30 visit scheduled with the Chiefs (and also another with their Super Bowl LVII opponent the Philadelphia Eagles). Weighing in at 6-foot-4 and 334 pounds at the East-West Shrine Bowl, this hulking defensive tackle prospect is a handful in the trenches. He’s practically immovable in the interior run game, but don’t get it twisted, he has some range to chase down ball carriers too. His 34-inch arms are big for an interior defender and give him an advantage against some of the smaller, squatty interior linemen that he’ll face in the NFL. As a fifth-year senior in 2022, Martin posted a solid season with the Hilltoppers. The name of his game will always be run-stopping, but he finished the year with 31 total tackles, two tackles for loss, 15 stops, two sacks and 22 pressures on the year.
  11. Chiefs to host Pittsburgh DE Deslin Alexandre on top-30 visit A fifth-year senior in 2022, the 6-foot-4 and 285-pound Alexandre recorded 131 total tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, seven passes batted, two fumbles recoveries, an interception and a safety during his five seasons at Pitt. During a top-30 visit, prospects will have a chance to tour team facilities and meet with position coaches, front office executives and scouts. On occasion, they’ll get a chance to meet with a few players who are working at the team facility. Some guys the team will bring in to get more medical information. Other guys will be brought in so teams can get an idea of whether they’ll fit the team culture.
  12. The Kansas City Chiefs have officially released DE Frank Clark. Clark spent four seasons in Kansas City after he was acquired in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks back in 2019. He immediately established himself as a leader on the defensive side of the ball, becoming a pivotal piece of the team’s success. He made his biggest mark in the postseason during his Chiefs career with 10.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 32 total tackles during his time in Kansas City alone. Both Chiefs GM Brett Veach and HC Andy Reid released statements following the team’s announcement that they’d officially released Clark. Brett Veach: “It’s really hard to punt into words what Frank has meant to our organization over the last four seasons. When we traded for him before the 2019 season, he came here with the goal of winning championships. We went to three Super Bowls in four seasons won two of those, and there is no doubt that Frank was a significant part of bringing those Lombardi Trophies to Kansas City. ‘The Shark cemented his legacy here in Chiefs Kingdom with his play and his personality. These decisions are never easy, but we wish him the best as he continues his career.” Andy Reid: “Frank is a special player and person. You were able to see his play on the field, but if you talk to him, you realize how incredible his heart is. Frank gave us all his energy, he invested time in our younger players to help them grow, and it shows you how passionate he is about the game. He’ll always be a part of our history here and we appreciate the work he put in to help us get there.”
  13. yea the Combine is a great time for GM's to schmooze make pre trades and or talk to agents OR he's one hell of a poker player.
  14. depends on the State Law. Right now it appears to me is that the DA is doing the shotgun affect and seeing what shot hits their targets.
  15. Chiefs expected to release DE Frank Clark after failing to agree on reworked contract The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to release DE Frank Clark after they were unable to come to an agreement on a reworked contract that would lower his salary cap number for the 2023 NFL season. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chiefs met with Clark’s agent Erik Burkhardt in an attempt to find common ground on a reworked deal but were unable to do so. That’s despite both Brett Veach and Andy Reid striking a hopeful tone during their media availability at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. Kansas City is now expected to release the 29-year-old defensive end, according to Schefter. This move will free $21 million in salary cap space for the Chiefs, but they’ll also incur over $7 million in a dead money charge for the upcoming season. There remains a chance that Clark could return to the team after his release, but he could also receive significant interest on the open market. The Chiefs first acquired Clark in trade from the Seattle Seahawks ahead of the 2019 NFL draft, signing him to a five-year contract extension worth over $100 million. Clark started 55 regular-season games in the past four seasons, recording 127 total tackles, 35 tackles for loss and 23.5 sacks. During the playoffs, Clark was an entirely different beast. He recorded 32 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in 12 games started. If this is the end for Clark in Kansas City, he’ll leave a two-time Super Bowl champion and have little regrets about his time with the team.
  16. https://currently.att.yahoo.com/sports/why-chiefs-decided-against-using-203919387.html That decision reportedly came down to two things. Numerous reports have indicated the restrictive nature of the franchise tag number as a reason for the decision. Being that this would’ve been Brown Jr.’s second consecutive year on the franchise tag, he’d earn at least 120 percent of the franchise tag number from the year prior. That means the Chiefs would be committing over $20 million to Brown Jr. in fully-guaranteed money. That number was simply too high for the team to take on with their current salary cap situation. It’d prevent Brett Veach and the front office from being competitive in free agency and keeping some of their own free agents. There’s another significant reason that the franchise tag wasn’t the amicable option for Kansa City, though. According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Chiefs have the desire to figure out a long-term solution at the left tackle position this offseason. They want to know who is going to be protecting the blindside of their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future. That doesn’t just mean that Kansas City is seeking a long-term deal with Brown Jr. either. If they’re unable to come to terms on a contract extension before the legal tampering period and free agency begins next week, they’ll explore all options per Breer. It’s a weak market in free agency, so the best options might come via the draft or even in a trade scenario.
