  1. Maybe your right. It could be that EB's coaching style is more like Gen Patton than it is Mr Rogers and that rubs some maybe even most veteran players wrong IF they have been exposed to a coach say like Andy. It could be that the casual watcher of this saga gets all bent because of they think his lack of HC hiring success is because of fill in the ______ all while never witnessing or being on the wrong end of EB's coaching style. That in itself could be what's wrong with EB and it came through either in the interview OR by the interviewer doing some research with ex players...who knows? I guess time will tell. In regards to Shady. He was a subpar RB for 1 year 3 years ago for the Chiefs so he really has no idea if EB's influence remained the same or had progressed since his short mediocre tenure with the Chiefs. There are a tons of articles referencing Andy's and Ls's relationship here's another insight full article and it seems Andy's relationship was not all that good wit McCoy in Phili.. Seems to me McCoy just might be hard to get along with but TJMO https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/gm-report/kc-chiefs-hc-andy-reid-responds-to-lesean-mccoys-eric-bieniemy-criticism#gid=ci02a2396
  2. I think it's sour grapes it seems to be not that well unknown here's an interview wit Adam Teicher about EB to a DC talk guy. JMO but Shady couldn't handle the truth https://commanderswire.usatoday.com/2023/02/21/kansas-city-chiefs-insider-tells-what-commanders-are-getting-in-eric-bieniemy-sam-howell-terry-mclaurin/ AT: “The Commanders are getting a guy who, player after player over the years, has told me is detail-oriented down to the most minute of details.” AT: “He is a coach who is known to ride his players kinda hard, and that rubs some players the wrong way. Particularly some veteran players have not appreciated that part of his coaching AT: “He does not let things slide, and you hear that from a lot of people. He is not afraid to throw a guy out of a drill if he is not getting it done the way Bieniemy wants.”
  3. I almost feel bad for the kid. Finally got from underneath Reek's shadow and started to look decent then the injury bug hit. His chance for a big payday might of eluded him this year but as been mentioned a 1 year prove it contract here cant hurt him unless he just stays injured
  4. so pretty much what Mex said. I dont pay much attention to all that but I appreciate the update
  5. I agree with this. It was always said that Mike Tomlin was not really on the Steeler's radar until his interview blew them away..ya never know what might happen.
  6. I thought this was just for an HC job. Lets try to keep it this out of the Locker Room please the Chiefs are expected to promote senior assistant and quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy to OC, though the Chiefs will need to satisfy the NFL’s Rooney Rule and interview an external minority coaching candidate for the OC gig.
  7. I heard Andy in an interview say they practiced that play every Friday never planning on using it of course the had some cute name for it but cant remember what it was
  8. he aint coming no cheaper you can bank on that. OBJ bet on himself and it appears he won
  9. interesting. I had posted a link earlier and it said how this year was a down year for Tackles. I don't really know I'm not a draft nerd
  10. what happens IF OBJ does not sign the tag? Yea I get he dont play or get paid but what's plan B for the Chiefs? Draft one? As it's been said before he has the Chiefs by the danglers.
  11. Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russel, Rick Mirer..should I go on? I did meet Rick at a Party at ND tho..Hell of a nice guy
  12. read on McDuff.. several mentions and yes you are right. He'll be 32 next year. I'd think whether he coms back is more about his want to than the Chiefs. Hard to think they'd not welcome him back. He only made $1.2M last year IIRC so I'd think $2M would be more than doable especially if they say adios to CEH
  13. it's certainly not a "lateral move" If I where Veach I'd lobby for at least 1 comp pick but still not sure IF he technically was under contract or not In Washington, Bieniemy has a bigger job, adding the title of assistant head coach. He also will indeed run the offense, since head coach Ron Rivera’s background lands on the defensive side of the ball. Bieniemy may not have much time to make an impact, given that the teams is for sale. If a new owner decides to make wholesale changes as soon as next year, Bieniemy will have something he wouldn’t have had in Kansas City. A buyout.
  14. I cant believe your reading comprehension is at a 3rd grade level ..not once have I read anything of the sort being suggested. But I say yea lets do it. Hitch signed for $9M a year with a $14M signing bonus.
  15. I wish him nothing but success except against the Chiefs and hope he whoops on them Plowboys
  16. he'll be 32 next year..he might want to go out on top like Henne.
  17. Bilichick sucked coaching the Browns When that time comes unless there is a better option available at the at time Nagy in my opinion is the heir apparent but hopefully that's another 3-5 years down the road..Hell Kafka may also be in the running
  18. ya don't know what you don't know and you don't know squat How do you explain the 2 GMs that where Black and hired since his HC job interviews started. That's a much bigger step than HC. Texans have hired 3 Black Coaches since then. But here is Jason Whitlocks take https://www.theblaze.com/fearless/oped/whitlock-baby-mama-culture-and-deion-sanders-explain-eric-bieniemys-failure-to-land-a-head-coaching-job " The Houston Texans have hired three black coaches in a row, but the only reason Eric Bieniemy did not get the job is because of racism. Colts owner Jim Irsay, who previously hired Tony Dungy and Jim Caldwell as head coaches, signed Shane Steichen because of racism. The narrative is a joke and a lie.
  19. IIRC I saw that he signed Feb 22/23rd of last year so unless the Skins decide they want him earlier & thet Chiefs wont let him go early then we might get something but seriously?
  20. reports are now that today they are just crossing the T's and dotting the i's and possibly should be announced today
  21. agreed and if he does shine it will put Egg on all those teams who passed him over and depending on how their year goes it maybe a firing offense for a GM or two..IF EB can shine in what is the Washington dumpster fire it will be a great thing
