  1. Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault for shoving a freelance photographer to the ground following the Raiders' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. According to court records obtained by NFL Network, Adams intentionally inflicted "bodily harm" upon the photographer who suffered "whiplash and head ache." The report also cites a possible concussion for the photographer. Adams pushed the man as he walked toward the locker room following the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, dropping the Raiders to 1-4 on the season. Adams apologized to the individual on Twitter and in his press conference following the game. "Before I say anything, I want to apologize to the guy running off the field, and he ran and jumped in front of me," Adams said. "I'm coming off the field and I bumped into him and pushed him. I think he ended up on the ground, so I want to say sorry to him because that was just frustration mixed with him running in front of me and I shouldn't have responded that way and that's how I initially responded. I want to apologize to him for that." Adams could reportedly face discipline from the NFL, with a suspension possible.
  2. best BBQ? That's almost like Ford ,Chevy or Dodge question altho I will agree with Joes but none is bad. I'd steer away from Gates tho. The wife was in town recently going to a Royals game and the Gates on 40hwy ( near the stadiums) was woefully understaffed. Jack Stack certainly is the most convenient as Jet mentioned has several locations and one right behind the train Station downtown. I have yet to have Q39 but a guy whom I opinion I respect called it "Gourmet BBQ" not too sure I like the sound of that. You really can not go wrong with any BBQ Rosedale's on the BLVD is an old time Fav of mine as is Haywards ( probably out of the way) JUST DONT GO TO ARTUR BRYANTS wayyyyyyy overrated. Cant help on the Fan gear but there is a shop in the stadium..yea probably awfully pricey there is this place with a big time sale going on might look her and hope it gets to you in time or have it delivered to where your going https://www.fanatics.com/kansas-city-chiefs/o-2472+t-70269247+z-91896-3559609134?_s=gppc&utm_campaign=NFL - Kansas City Have great time I hope the Chiefs show up for you. Arrowhead is a must do for every Chiefs fan at least once.
  3. 5 years? Can I get a factual reference for that please? I am sure you are taking your daily supplement of Prevagen but I seem to recall the Chiefs drafted EB to an immediate star in which in his Rookie year made 92 tackles, 4 INTs. 9 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble and was the first Chiefs rookie since DT to make the Pro Bowl.https://playersbio.com/eric-berry-bio/ So whodafuk would be "clamoring" for us to "give up" on EB? Yea maybe at the end of his career but that's not what we are talking about here.
  4. OBJ thinks of himself as ELITE which he clearly is not Yes they'd make your Journeyman LT look bad but not one of a Willie Roaf type ability. To protect a $500 M QB the Chiefs need a Roaf type LT. Easier said than done but
  5. altho I agree 100% to be fair look who they where up against.. those guys are brutal. It appears our O-line has not been fixed as was once thought which just adds to the problem of solving our other needs. Veach is going to have to have another ALL WORLD draft next year. I heard on Sunday that the DA BEARS will have over 100 Mil in cap space next year.. I mean WTF? That'll set the market making many FA's all but unaffordable
  6. wont be able top watch it but it sure will be entertaining in the morning reading this thread .. dont disappoint me
  7. agreed I went to HS with him..kind of a boob over course in HS and College he dominated out of sheer size..NFL? ...MEH seem to happen like that sometimes. Joe Montana's kid never made it past 3rd string at ND and Grunny's kid had to leave ND and go to Kansas to get any playing time.
  8. Sophomore starter at LT for Notre Dame. My initial thought was dang John is a bit old to have a son just now going to College but there is no doubt he's JA's son the body type is identical. wouldn't that be something for the Chiefs to get him in a year or 2?
  9. first Kemp now Conley..maybe the Front office not real pleased with the cast of characters we have now The Kansas City Chiefs have signed yet another former player to their practice squad. This time, its wide receiver Chris Conley, whom Kansas City drafted in the third round (76th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft.
  10. Every team makes gambles and makes mistakes. It appears to me Veach & co maybe a better college talent evaluator than he is FA and that's ok. I'm sure if I went back and looked at the CEH draft ther are players on other rosters that we'd WTF Veach where you thinking? but that's hindsight. IIRC that was time where there where some other QBs bemoaning the fact they where not consulted on certain players in the draft maybe it was a move to nip that in the bud and let Patrick pick? I don't see that happening again. I think rehashing that move is unproductive and back seat GMing but then that's what we do.
  11. But will Eli get in first ballot? Not so sure but he is a Manning
  12. I don't believe he would but I'm more than available to be wrong. I thought well how bout Earl Campbell??.. yea he had an 8 year career but only 5 of those where 1K yrd plus years
  13. agreed he's no RDPOTY candidate like Micah Parsons or Bosa but then he wasn't the 12th or 2nd pick either
  14. I think too much comparison in regards to Sayers is misguided as they are generations apart and it would seem the bar has been raised.
  15. https://arrowheadaddict.com/2022/10/05/mecole-hardman-contract-year-not-going-well-chiefs/?fbclid=IwAR02SLCRlqisIXhto3DbPCO2IEK3PgplIInNUOWH1x1Io1M9xkihMXm_fRI Mecole Hardman’s contract year isn’t going well (so far) by Lucas Strozinsky1 day ago Follow @StrozinskyLucas Mecole Hardman is in the final year of his contract with the KC Chiefs and his season isn’t going well. What are his stats compared to previous years? After the trade of Tyreek Hill, the Kansas City Chiefs had many questions regarding the wide receiver position. They brought in players, like JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Justin Watson, but many thought Mecole Hardman would be a player to take a step forward on the Chiefs this season. Unfortunately, so far, that hasn’t been the case. So far this season, Hardman has 8 catches for 71 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. That’s a 17-game pace of 34 receptions, 302 yards, and four touchdowns. He has also averaged 0.78 yards per route run, 76th among all wide receivers with at least 13 targets this season, according to Pro Football Focus ($). Not an ideal first month of the season. For reference, here are his stats through four games in his first three seasons: 2021: 13 catches, 123 yards, and 1 touchdown. 1.09 yards per route run. 2020: 11 catches, 144 yards, and 2 touchdowns. 1.69 yards per route run. 2019: 8 catches, 167 yards, and 2 touchdowns. 1.40 yards per route run. Average: 10.7 catches, 144.7 yards, and 1.7 touchdowns. 1.37 yards per route run. Every single major statistical category over the first four games of the season is down from his first three years. Yes, a lot of that can be attributed to a nagging heel injury suffered earlier in the season, but he’s been healthy enough to dress for every game and see playing time. Patrick Mahomes missed Hardman running wide open to the end zone on a first-down play in the middle of the third quarter, but never looked his way, and instead threw an incomplete pass to Justin Watson. That’s 100% on Mahomes, although it could be a sign of a larger problem in that Mahomes has little trust in Hardman. That’s a concern because Hardman is in his fourth year with Mahomes and that should not be an issue this deep into his career. It could also signal that Hardman’s production may not quite return to the level it was at in previous years. One of the main reasons that his rough start to the season is significant is because he is scheduled to be a free agent next March. Many fans assumed that Hardman would take a small step forward this season, in addition to the loss of Tyreek Hill, because he would be playing for a heavy contract in several months. The contract year has not been enough for a production boost from Hardman. Hardman’s a talented player and did a fantastic job stepping up when Hill went down for multiple games early in 2019, but Chiefs fans may have to face the reality that this could be his last season in Kansas City. Spotrac projects that Hardman’s next contract will be around 4-years, $33.7 million for an average of about $8.4 million a season. In my opinion, Hardman isn’t worth that contract, but Spotrac listed Marquez Valdes-Scantling as a comparable and he got 3 years, $30 million from the Chiefs. Granted, MVS’ contract is fairly flexible after the first year. The Chiefs should probably look for a more cost-controlled solution at the wide receiver position instead of handing out a second contract, which includes a considerable raise, to a player who’s never hit 700 receiving yards in a single regular season—even though he has yet to miss one such game. Hardman is having the worst start to a season that he’s ever had in the NFL, which is a shame because he is slated to sign a new contract in the off-season. The heel injury deserves some of the blame but he’s never been a nuanced route runner and has pretty much been a speed-only receiver in the NFL. Due to the potential rise of Skyy Moore and barring an injury, I’m not convinced that Hardman will see a huge share of the targets for the remainder of the season. He has a role on a Super Bowl-contending team but that role cannot be a major part of the offense. Hopefully his production skyrockets throughout the remaining regular season games but this is likely Hardman’s last season in Kansas City.
  16. I guess the 2 consecutive muffed punts happens to escape people's memory. Granted he has not muffed since but it certainly in my eyes is a red flag that he is maybe not ready for primetime
  17. I was just going to say this but got diverted GS's 5 healthy years were dominate. That being said with all the inductees since I think the bar has been set higher and without longevity the odds are stacked against him
  18. I know right? what are you a valley girl? Let me rephrase. Early into the game my wife noticed TB12's body language a facial expressions. It takes a woman to notice these things and she said he looked distracted. JMO easy passing yardage made from prevent defenses at the end is a MEH stat. 3 Td's for TB12 is also not a glorious day for the GOAT. I dont care about Dork QB ratings and the such, dont when it's Patrick nor any other QB. I am in no way insinuating the Defense did not do a great job or trying to take away their performance. I was very encouraged watching our DB and think now they are the strength of the team. but carry on.
  19. yea I really have no idea who many are anymore and the # changes really confuse me
