  1. We have the target on us all season, and if we do lose this game no one is going to feel sorry for us and we have to be ready for the ravens next Monday, imagine what their running game will do to us if we cannot stop the chargers
  2. Former Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen is among 14 first-year eligible players for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Like the others, Allen last played in the 2015 season. Allen was a fourth-round draft choice by the Chiefs in 2004 and had 43 sacks in four seasons along with 14 forced fumbles and 230 tackles. A first-team All-Pro in the 2007 season, Allen was then traded to the Vikings with a sixth-round draft pick for the 17th overall pick, a pair of third-round picks and a sixth-rounder. Allen is one of nine former Chiefs on the list of Modern Era nominees for the Hall of Fame’s class of 2021. Here are the others: G Brian Waters: A five-time Pro Bowler in his 11 seasons with the Chiefs (2000-10), Waters was twice a first-team All-Pro. DE Neil Smith: In nine seasons with the Chiefs (1988-96), Smith recorded 85 1/2 sacks and had 104 total in his career. Smith made five Pro Bowls with the Chiefs and was first-team All-Pro in 1993. DB Albert Lewis: A four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro in 11 seasons with the Chiefs (1983-93). He intercepted 38 passes, forced seven fumbles and recovered 12 fumbles. RB Priest Holmes: Rushed for 6,070 yards (second most in Chiefs history) over seven seasons. He was a three-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler in Kansas City (2001-07). Holmes also rushed for 76 touchdowns with the Chiefs. K Nick Lowery: Lowery is the Chiefs’ all-time leader in points (1,466) and made a franchise-best 329 field goals, while missing just four of his 483 extra-point attempts while in KC (1978-93). DB James Hasty: Had 21 interceptions and three touchdowns while making two Pro Bowls in six seasons with the Chiefs (1995-2000). QB Dave Krieg: Played two of his 19 seasons with the Chiefs. Krieg was 13-8 as a starter in 1992-93. He appeared in three playoff games with KC. DE Leslie O’Neal: Played the final two of his 13 NFL seasons with the Chiefs (1998-99).
  3. After the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV, one question has been nagging many Chiefs fans: When will NFL Network’s “America’s Game” episode about the Chiefs’ championship season finally air? Now we know. “America’s Game: 2019 Chiefs” will premiere on Wednesday night — the night before the Chiefs kick of the 2020 NFL season against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium — beginning at 7:00 p.m. Arrowhead Time. Featuring in-depth interviews with Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyrann Mathieu, the 60-minute episode — the 54th of the series — will recount the entire 2019 season through their eyes. It will be narrated by actor (and Arrowhead Pride reader) Paul Rudd. But wait... no interview with head coach Andy Reid? Not to worry. Immediately afterward — at 8 p.m. Arrowhead Time — NFL Network will premiere another Chiefs documentary: “Time’s Yours: Andy Reid & the 2019 Chiefs” This 60-minute show will feature interviews with Reid — along with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo — breaking down the 2019 season. Actor (and Kansas City native) Eric Stonestreet will narrate the documentary. After these two premieres, NFL Network will air “Kickoff Eve,” a one-hour special that will include Kelce and many other NFL stars.

  5. Veach's Explanation for cutting Speaks: “Of all the positions, that defensive line position is probably our deepest position,” Veach acknowledged. “With Breeland [Speaks], it was a different scheme when he got here, and our staff really thought his rookie year he did some things you can lay a foundation on. We all know he came in a little out of shape the next year, and then he had the injury. When you get behind the eight-ball in professional football, it’s tough. When you get behind the eight-ball on a roster with a deep defensive line, it’s even tougher.”
  6. Does anyone think that the majority of the US will be rooting for Watson and the Texans to take down KC on thursday. I was watching GMFB this morning and the general consensus there was they think the texans can beat the chiefs something about it being Watsons turn after Pat and Lamar both got MVP, or maybe they are creating a false narrative
  7. Sources: Ravens to cut or trade Earl Thomas after dispute The Baltimore Ravens are moving on from Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday. They either will release him for conduct detrimental to the team, for his fiery on-field argument with safety Chuck Clark on Friday, or trade him. The Dallas Cowboys are the leading contender to sign him if he's released, sources told Schefter.
