Nice to see Bryan Cook back and healthy. Big time player we need back there. Weird seeing Carson Wentz back there... but dammit he'll be the best backup QB in the league. I guess Worthy is 'slightly' injured... Patrick said he was trying too hard to prove himself and tweaked something... said he could probably practice but they're being cautious. Hollywood Brown (#5) is definitely showing out playing well. Toney is not there at least so far. Wanya is back in practice after being busted in KS. Would be nice if things started clicking for him this year. LRZ is catching punts... would be great to have him make the roster.

A lot of folks critiquing his size... but don't forget he played against some big boys in the NCAA and his only injury wasn't related to being undersized.

During SB XVIII we had so many bad spots I couldn't believe it. It was like they'd automatically take 1.5 yds off each play.

The really great thing about winning 3 SBs in 5 years is being able to rewatch so many outstanding SBs and playoff games. For lack of any decent programming on TV these days, I find myself watching these games multiple times... putting youtube up on the tv and reliving games like the comeback wins over the Texans, Titans, and SF in XIV... all the way through to this year's playoff wins and SB XVIII. Hasn't gotten old yet, because there are so danged many of them. Then there's the multiple First Things First shows where Nick is (not so humbly) predicting Chiefs dominance while Chris and Kevin go against the Chiefs every time, then Nick returns, post game, to gloriously rub it in while posting stats that are always amazing. Culminating in the best tweet ever from Patrick Mahomes. Then of course there's rewatching the other pundits forced to acknowledge Chiefs dominance on their shows... ie Cowherd, Florio/Simms and Eisen. And don't forget all the episodes of The Franchise. At my house, much to the wife's chagrin, it's been all Chiefs all the time. Great time to be a Chiefs fan.

One thing about Andy... he likes him a project. Now he's got one. Hope it works out, and who knows it just might. Especially if the legal proceedings drag out. Would be awesome to have him available for the first 2 games, then miss the next 3 games, returning for the Niner's. Yeah, I know.

With the loss of Gay, we need to extend Bolton. Gay was a hell of an important piece of the defense this year. I know Tranquill is doing well, but my concern there is depth. As for RBs... I still think they can squeeze some productivity out of CEH. They'll need to start reducing the tread wear (as west puts it) on Pacheco. His style is awesome but it's not one that suits a lot of carries year after year in the NFL.

HB will be a huge upgrade over MVS (and everyone else.) That guy never had the opportunity to thrive in the last two schemes he was mired in. Now he's got Patrick and an offense geared to utilize his strengths. And he seems motivated. Personally I think signing him was a steal, but only time will tell. Haven't heard a lot about the court dates etc for Rice, but sometimes these things can drag on for months and even years... he could potentially start the first few games in the season before his trial, which knowing the schedule, would be fine by me. Rice is a tough, big body guy who is dangerous on slants and plays across the middle. He's the opposite of Worthy, so both of them together present a lot of issues for the tampa 2s we always see. The person who will benefit most from Rice, Worthy and HB on the field is Kelce... and I'm here for it.

Whatever Mahomes wants is fine by me. If not in KC, they damn well better keep the team in MO or KS... not sure I could root for the San Antonio Chiefs. Just wouldn't be right.

Exactly right... we haven't seen improvement. We've gotten worse. Seems like the pressure is getting to them and making them worse... especially MVS. That dude couldn't catch covid. I keep holding onto hope that they'll suddenly start to click. And that Andy will pull his head out his ass when it comes to his predictable playcalling. Our defense is certainly championship caliber. And we have some playmakers on offense that just need to do what they do... ie Patrick, Travis, Isaiah and Rice. I keep hoping. Winning a championship is about peaking at the right time. This whole season we've been in the valley.

Andy said Travis is the "least selfish" guy he's ever been around. That he voluntarily sat out for the team, rather than chase another record of which "he already has so many."
