  1. Whoever they use, please put some velcro on their gloves.
  2. Hope the guy recovers... this story is quite familiar to us old Chiefs fans. If you're a running back who ever played for the Chiefs... PLEASE LEARN TO SWIM.
  3. If both win this weekend, that means the Chiefs had to play one more regular season game... 4 more quarters of wear and tear/risk of injury that Buff/Cin did not have to endure at the most critical time of year. Furthermore, that extra game was technically against Cin, one of the top teams in the league, at their house... all while Buff was allowed to OPT not to play them. (albeit for understandable reasons, but shit happens and none of it was KC's fault) So, if both end up making the AFCCG (pretty big if, but very possible) the solution is to award Buffalo a neutral site, because they opted to discontinue playing a game they very likely could have lost, giving the Chiefs the #1 seed. Meanwhile, the Chiefs who (potentially) finished with the best win percentage, will have to travel to a neutral site and give up HFA which they earned with their winning percentage. KC season ticket holders lose the opportunity to purchase AFCCG tickets either to attend or sell. KC fans who don't hold season tickets will not be able to attend the game without sending thousands of dollars and taking off work for travel. KC community vendors, hotels, restaurants, bars, and other ancillary support businesses who make their living during football season will lose out on significant revenue... all because Buffalo 'might' have won in Cin... had they actually played. Sounds fair to me.
  4. Dunlap has been an awesome FA pickup for us. What makes you think they won't resign him? Seems like he loves being a chief and might want to play for a SB contender. I don't follow salary cap data much, so I couldn't say if he's expensive or not... but dang I'd like to keep him.
  5. For what it's worth, Novak's crew has been pretty good to us but they've only called 2 of our games with him in charge. Scott Novak NFL Official Statistics | Pro-Football-Reference.com
  6. Scott Novak's crew has been rescheduled, and sent to Philly. Carl Jeffers & Co are heading to LV as we speak. They have their assignment.
  7. The good news is, most teams are looking for the specialty talent like QB, Edge, CB, WR, DL... I bet Veach has the ability to get us in position for a quality LT. The only question is, does he WANT a LT. Or will he be slobbering over more offensive weapons... like a WR or RB.
  8. We would need to trade up... but we have a lot of cards to deal... and veach is the master.
  9. Parris J is a beast... If we take another 1st rd running back, I'm going full San Fran next time I'm in KC... including but not limited to taking massive dookies on the sidewalks.
  10. Know what would suck about that? We played one of the best defenses in the league, risking injury (ask Thuney and Bolton) putting more wear and tear on our players, and it is all for nothing. To not count that game is fucking BULLSHIT.
  11. The latest... not sure if it's true: NFL world reacts to unpopular Bengals-Bills plan news Story by Kevin Harrish • 1h ago While the only real concern for the NFL right now is the health of Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin after the horrifying incident that saw him needing CPR on the field during Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the reality is that the league now has to figure out what to do with this high-profile game initially postponing the crucial AFC matchup and eventually deciding that will not continue this week. And it looks like the NFL is leaning toward quite an unpopular option. Joe Burrow© Provided by The Comeback According to a report from Pro Football Talk, the league is moving towards declaring Monday night’s game a “no-contest” and awarding the playoff seeding based on win percentages after Week 18. “Momentum is currently pointing toward Bills-Bengals not being resumed, with AFC playoff seeding based on winning percentage following the outcome of the Week 18 games,” Pro Football Talk reported on Wednesday night. Obviously, this would put the Kansas City Chiefs in full control, as the Chiefs would lock up the first-round bye and the No. 1 seed in the playoffs with a win over the Las Vegas Raiders. It also would eliminate the Bengals from the possibility of earning the No. 1 seed altogether. The NFL world did not seem too fond of this plan, though many understood this was an unprecedented situation. “Unfair for many teams, but I get it. I’d rather win on the field, but this is the situation,” Bengals media member Joe Goodberry said on Twitter. “Seeing a lot of Bills fans who were saying, ‘who cares about the 1 seed. Cancel the game’ on Monday, now complaining that this isn’t fair. It isn’t, but let’s not all lose the perspective we had Monday night. Focus on the positive that Damar is progressing. It’s still about him,” one Bills fan said on Twitter. “Barring a Raiders upset over the Chiefs and wild-card round craziness, the Bills and Bengals will see each other in the divisional round,” Robert Harding said in a Tweet. This is essentially what former NFL star quarterback Carson Palmer suggested would happen on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow said that the Bengals want to do whatever Buffalo wants to do.
  12. My point exactly. We can always dream of a 2nd round LT who blows up in camp... like Creed. I mean people don’t realize how complicated the job of center is... reading the defense, calling the blocking schemes etc. he was an all pro day one. Then we move OBJ to the right side. Bam. But I also believe in the tooth fairy, so... 😄
  13. I would worry about getting stale and losing their edge. it is what it is. Whatever happens, let’s hope andy has them ready
  14. I'd be surprised if he plays this week... but it's great to have him available for post season.
  15. 7 games ago I would have never wanted to keep him... those first few games Patrick was running for his life.
  16. The second half of the season, including twice against that Denver defense, our OL has looked pretty solid. I wouldn't mind if they keep him. But they need to look for a LT in the draft, for damned sure.
  17. They have to give him 5 years... it takes 3 minimum to get your program developed.
  18. For the difference between 20 mil and 7 mil, even if it's only 2 or 3 years... screw my legacy I'll be on an island somewhere drinking beer and laughing
  19. I heard the league is seriously considering postponing the playoffs by a week, to allow Buff/Cin the ability to play their game week 19. This would also eliminate the bye week between the Conference Championships and the SB... which keeps the SB schedule on track. This means everyone has week 19 off, except Buff/Cinn... and still gives the 1 seed the 1st week off during playoffs. If Buff loses and the Chiefs beat LV, they Chiefs would get the 1 seed and TWO weeks off in a row before the playoffs. Not sure how I feel about that.
