I doubt they will be able to afford some of their defensive stars... we're trying to figure ways to keep guys like Sneed and Bolton... Denver's defensive roster will be even more difficult to maintain than ours.
Yeah? How? They have no money... locked in to paying Wilson way more than he's worth through 2029. Mediocre draft status for the next few years... hell we're sitting 10x better with the best QB in the league. Hard to believe Wilson makes 10% more than Patrick.
That's why Payton will likely go to AZ... and yeah, I could see Harbaugh going back to the league. His bowl record at UM is a dismal 1-6... but he can leave after his greatest accomplishment... finishing 2-5 against the rival.
Not sure the network lost a lot of money. In fact, with all the breaking news coverage, and all the talking heads they brought in to talk about the situation, I'd bet ratings didn't drop all that much.
I watched for another 2-3 hours afterward, hoping to see news of how the kid was doing... and saw quite a few commercials.

It would be unfair if the Bills had one less game than the Chiefs. One less AFC game. One less playoff-caliber opponent.
And especially since it is against a quality opponent that the Chiefs already had to play.
If the Bills/Cincy seasons are shortened due to scheduling issues, the ONLY fair solution is winning percentage. Which means the Chiefs would still need to win on Saturday.

Just responding to the previous comment comparing NFL players to people with regular jobs who die on duty. It’s not the best comparison.
Screw that. We will have played an extra game. More wear and tear on the players, more chance to get beat.... neither of which Cin or Buff will have had to endure. That means a lot. If buff and cin only play 16, the Chiefs deserve the #1 seed, long as they beat LV.
End of story.
Hopefully he’s not implying the league (Goodell) would have forced them to play. Lots of people using this angle to demonize the league and victimize the players. Nobody knows at this point.
Sometimes, blunt chest trauma can lead to cardiac arrest. I remember reading about pitchers getting line drive comebackers to the chest and needing CPR. Used to worry about this with one of my sons when he pitched in HS and college. Kind of reminds me of this. They were using AED which means his heart stopped.
