  1. Sometimes it's the system. Burrow is a great QB... but he's a pocket guy. Their offense required a mobile QB and Fields fit the bill. xen has his reasons, but I'd take either Wilson or Olave over Williams. That said, I'd be damned happy with Williams. Hell I'm still holding out hope for Cornell Powell.
  2. That's a bit of an exaggeration. That said, you think I'm high on Olave/Wilson... wait until you see what Smith-Njigba does this year. The Chiefs would do just fine drafting a few Buckeye receivers. Or defensive ends. Or LBs. Or TEs. Veach could jump the board... he's got a few picks to trade. Plus, we seem to do really well in the 3rd round. So those 2nd rd picks aren't all that much better.
  3. If I know Veach, he's gonna use that bouquet of picks to trade up. The guy is a freak.
  4. Williams couldn't beat out Wilson or Olave. He's great, but would he be that much cheaper, draft pick-wise?
  5. Both were good to hear. We couldn't afford Hill. He's better off, and so are we. Just as Sorensen is better off, as are we. I thank both of them for the great plays they made, and wish 'em the best. James Boned.
  6. love those two... either one would produce immediately. that said... I want an elite edge rusher but it's always a gamble cough tyson jackson cough
  7. I've always loved Pringle, and he's been coming on strong of late. Not much difference between a 5th rounder and an UFA But they can't measure rout-running and instincts... may the best hands win
  8. In fairness we were one Kimble Anders easy catch away from the SB with Montana.
  9. I was thinking the same... I bet we see him more, and he grooms into the #3 next year. My hope anyways.
  10. Not a clark fan. But this was a good move because I don't see any average DEs out there for that money. I mean, now clark HAS to perform... because he's gone in 2023 if he doesn't. Because who will pick him up? Seen it happen too many times where a few years of cushy guaranteed money lowers performance... but being forced to market yourself for free agency next year sets the tone for a season let's hope
  11. I completely understand those concerns. The lack of significant roster movement makes it seem a little worse than it is. Free agency might be winding down in terms of our immediate needs, but it seems like we're still in decent shape going into the draft. Veach has done pretty good so far... so keep the faith.
  12. Well, I'm fucking glad they signed him. He was a beast the few times they used him.
  13. life sucks, but sometimes you just gotta nut up and git r done
