agree 100% on areas of need
these days, RBs can be found pretty easily...
you don't like blake bell?
-
Tristan Wirfs - Iowa or Josh Jones - Houston if looking for OL
AJ Terrell - Clemson should be available, or even Trevon Diggs might be available at CB
-
Dick V picked up an amazing OL through free agency... I agree that CB is a position of need but it always comes down to BPA
-
I'd like to see Mecole in the slot too... good lord they have some blazers out there
-
meh
nobody's saying they played lights out... or they don't need improvement
abysmal? embarrasing?
anyone who is embarrassed by our team's play, after the first super bowl win in 50 years needs to evaluate their priorities
-
fading back 14 steps instead of 7 will buy you an extra second or two
it wasn't embarrassing... that was the best Dline in the NFL bar none
-
-
I love that he is a complete running back
he can run, receive, and block
and he blocks well
on one play he pounded into Bosa coming hard off the left end, completely stopping him, and then slipped past only to catch the ball in the flats and run for a big first down... that was a hell of a play
-
I think it was more of Andy forcing SF out of their gameplan... which was running the ball. Exactly how we stopped Tenn. In fact, if you'll recall in the days leading up to the game, Jones commented that we wanted to force JimmyG to throw the ball, commenting that he only threw like 8 times vs GB. Of course the press made a stink about it, implying that the Chiefs were disrespecting Garafalo... when the truth is they weren't. The reporter asked Jones if they wanted the ball in JG's hands and he said "yeah, 1000%." When they asked Garafalo what he thought about Jones' comment, he said "I love it."
That game was won because they did precisely what Jones was talking about. He was instrumental in knocking down several of JG's throws, and of course Clark had the game-winning sack. We forced them to put the ball in Garafalo's hands.
-
that is the most unbelievable and amazing stat I've ever seen
-
The reason we won is simple. SF is a running team. Just like Tenn.
Our offense took the lead and forced SF to throw the ball. It allowed our DL to pin their ears and bull-rush, and for Spags to dial up some blitzes.
We all knew the recipe for beating SF. Get them to throw and put the ball in Garafalo's hands.
Even after two uncharacteristic and untimely INTs, the game was always within reach. Andy played it to perfection.
-
also got to give credit to our DL making plays when it counted
-
-
pretty cool to see Kelce and Gonzo embracing after the game...
-
all they know is the Chiefs lost so many RBs these last few years and won the SB with a #3 guy
-
that's a franchise player right there... and yes he'll be back
-
Rewatch the SB
the kid is excellent in pass pro
-
we're gonna fight for your right 2 party!
-
-
this quote belongs in the #2 thread
-
this is where the Pats have always been excellent... their front office/talent evaluation/cap-budgeting around Tom Brady is why they had their dynasty
next few months is where Veach, Shea, Bradway/Poles prove their mettle
-
-
and for anyone bitching about Williams stepping out of bounds on the go-ahead TD... watch the replay of the play BEFORE the TD... when PM scrambles to the left sideline, he CLEARLY goes out of bounds, with the ball in his right hand, at the 3-1/2 yd line.
They spotted the ball on the fucking 5 yard line... which means, had they spotted it proper, he walks past the pylon.
-
With Patrick back there, any back who starts for us must not only be willing to block, but block well
this kid hits blitzers like zeke elliott... williams is the real deal
there was one play late in the game where he pounded bosa coming in from the left and then caught a ball in the flats for a first down
that play didn't get the credit it deserved
