  1. Hopefully he'll last 14 more games this season.
  2. The New York Jets are trading wide receiver Mecole Hardman back to the Kansas City Chiefs in a deal that involves a swap of 2025 late-round draft picks, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Jets will receive a 2025 sixth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round selection in the deal, the sources said. The Jets signed Hardman to a one-year, $4 million contract this offseason, but he has played only 28 offensive snaps so far this season and has only one reception.
  3. Yeah... that's why in a major league dugout, if a pitcher hasn't given up a hit everyone in the dugout freely casually and repeatedly mentions 'no-hitter' to the pitcher. Because they're professionals... who know their words have no power to influence the game.
  4. My point exactly. I guess 'serviceable' is too loose of a term in a forum built on people arguing.
  5. He did let CJ play right away... but in a more limited role IIRC.
  6. Serviceable is definitely a broad term... by that I meant a TE that can block, catch, and has an above average ability to find the seams. There are always superstar TEs... but will we ever get one who has telepathic powers with his QB? And if so, can we get him drafting with 1st rd picks in the 30's? Maybe. We got Kelce in rd 3. And IIRC Kittle was a low pick. So it's possible. But I doubt we can replace Kelce.
  7. The boys have a very good DL. Hopefully we enjoy the same level of success.
  8. You still don't jinx yourself by underestimating an opponent... let alone a half-season's worth.
  9. Those teams will all be in the same shape we are... let's see the bengals pay burrow and chase and higgins. Somethings gotta give.
  10. Never say "It's over" less than halfway through the season. You fuckin' youngsters.
  11. He's been pressing. Because he's a competitor and his wideouts aren't getting separation. I was referring to the Jets game with the 2 picks. He played well against Detroit. The pick 6 was a fluke... hit Toney right in the numbers. How many drops did they have that day...
  12. Folks need to get it out of their brain that 'we need to replace Kelce.' That's just never going to happen. But we can still get a serviceable TE who can help us win SBs on day 2.
  13. Meh. Patrick is allowed to have a bad game. And he's only had one. The rest of our issues are related to underperforming wide-outs. The offensive line seems to be holding its own.
  14. If he doesn't have a brother named Bubba, his parents done missed a golden opportunity.
  15. I don't blame Saleh for complimenting his defense. The Jets are good. With Rodgers they might have been great. Mahomes had one of the worst games of his career against the Jets. He completed 60% of his passes, but he threw a few picks with only 1 TD. One of the worst QBRs since the TB SB debacle. It happens. Honestly, it's what I love about Patrick... his offense was sputtering in the red zone and he was trying to make things happen. Dude's a competitor.
  16. The CLE/SF game was good. Some matchups are garbage, and before DAL beat the Bolts I thought there was a clear difference in quality between the NFC and AFC... but it looks like a lot of teams are leveling out. Which bodes well for KC this year.
