Could be most teams are looking for an immediate alternative... whereas in the case of TE the Chiefs can afford to invest in a longer term goal. I don't see us getting him tho... but who knows. I'm biased here, but Cade Stover is the real deal... having a good season, and could be under the radar enough the Chiefs might have a chance. Lots of good TEs out there this year... so I'm confident we'll get one that Andy, Veach and Patrick like.

Other teams didn't want Trey Smith because of medical issues... the Chiefs knew he was a dandy.

Not sure about that. Cleveland's defense is for real. And the Jets are no slouch. Maybe Philly and SF were a tad overrated?

Well boys the Chiefs aren't looking too bad right about now. If we can get our offense in rhythm and keep the D playing like they have been, we're still the team to beat. Down goes San Fran, down goes Philly. Both to AFC teams one of which we defeated in their home stadium. Philly didn't look like world-beaters vs the Jets. And the niners? Good grief Cleveland TRIED to lose that game. PJ Walker made tons of huge mistakes (understandably) but the niners had a ton of chances to put it away, and couldn't get it done. Last week the pundits had the Niners going undefeated, and Brock Purdy was the next Joe Montana. Purdy went 12-27 with 1 int. Admittedly, CLE has probably the top D in the league. But man everyone was talking about how nobody in the league can hold a candle to the niners. I like our chances... especially if our defense keeps it up.

It's the only way to get OT interested in being a swiftie.

I don't necessarily have a problem with it... but with Omenihu returning and considering the current exceptional play of our defense, and also considering the below-average (for the Chiefs, anyway) play of the offense... I'd rather have them spend their efforts on a WR. Either way I have confidence in the BrainTrust of the Chiefs' front office.

Let's not get carried away here. We need CEH. He's still a serviceable RB... Pacheco's 'balls to the wall' style of never quitting and giving it 120% on every single play (arguably what makes him great) increases odds for injury in a 17-20 game season. CEH certainly hasn't performed like a first rounder but he still has value spelling Pacheco and he can catch the ball as a checkdown option.
