If they want him, they'll figure it out. You might be right about Veach, but Andy is incredibly loyal to players.

I don't think anyone's saying he'll be the best FA pickup in recent history, but IMO he makes us better. He's got top-tier speed defenses have to respect, he knows Patrick (and equally important, Patrick knows him) he knows our playbook and he can contribute right away.

Plus I think he's comfortable in our offense. He didn't play BAD while he was a chief. He wasn't great by any means but he wasn't ever a liability. Plus he's got the wheels to take the top off a defense.

He didn't get picked on in Minneapolis. LTs are not going to ever bat 1000. They're often going up against the best DEs in the league and shit happens. Everyone is saying how much of a gamble he was... as if Andy, Veach, and Heck didn't look at tons of film, interview him multiple times, and collaborate on their thoughts as to his talent and ultimate value. The guy isn't doing poorly. At all. Yeah, I get it... we have a mobile QB who feels pressure most of the time and can avoid it. A huge advantage in the league.

At his age, he's just happy softening his stools.
