  1. I think they're waiting to see what happens with Quinnen Williams and the jets... as that could have a big effect on Jones' offer.
  2. Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby claims he was given a shoulder check by Patrick Mahomes before he headbutted the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. On October 11th, the Chiefs hosted the Raiders in a Monday Night Football Game. As division rivals, the Chiefs and Raiders get to play at least twice per year and there is always extra fire and intensity when those two teams play against each other. Their first meeting of the 2022 season was a thriller and it also featured Crosby headbutting Mahomes. “[Mahomes] was talking back like …’Aye, what’s up?’ And so, they went down and scored. And I’m standing and watching, and they were all running in the end zone. I get bumped behind my back.I get hit with a shoulder. I turned my shoulder, and it was Pat, and he was still running. I’m like, ‘Oh no, I’m not going for that,’ and so I ran straight to him and I headbutted him, like ‘What’s up?," Crosby said on the VonCast with Von Miller, via Sports Illustrated. Crosby says Mahomes is not backing down from trash talk “When I’m out there, he’s talking s--- right back at me. Most quarterbacks aren’t like that. They are silent. They’re not going to say much," Crosby added. That night, the Raiders made a really strong against the Chiefs as they opened a 17-point lead. But the Mahomes-led Chiefs didn't surrender as they managed to create a major comeback and beat the Raiders 30-29. In Week 18, the Raiders hosted the Chiefs in their regular-season finale. This time, there wasn't really any drama as the Chiefs routinely beat the Raiders 31-13. In 2023, their first meeting is scheduled for November 26th, when the Raiders are hosting the Chiefs. On Christmas Day, the Chiefs will be playing the Raiders on their home field.
  3. Don't worry. The raiders will misuse him, piss him off, and after his rookie contract is over he'll sign with a division winner on the cheap just to get even with them.
  4. So we're not 'paying him to play elsewhere' like the Yankees did with Dave Justice sending him to the A's years ago. Damn. That would have given me more ammo to give him shit.
  5. Oh, sure that could happen. But the fact he wants to keep playing tells me he's chasing Gronk/TG for GOAT. Gronk is just 5 months older, and played for 11 seasons. Travis has played 10. Pretty sure the Chiefs' front office understands they need to be looking for a TEOTF but honestly, it will be difficult to replace a guy like Travis... unless we have a shitty season and get high draft picks. My selfish hopes are that Kelce gets 4 more seasons (very possible) and with it 2 more SB wins. That will put him solid in the GOAT debate. I'd also like to see him break 18 TDs in a season... Gronk's only record. Travis holds quite a few TE records, but he needs 500 more receptions and 5,000 more yards to pass Tony G. That's a lot... about 5 more seasons of work (Holy shit Tony G was amazing wasn't he?) which hopefully Travis wants to chase.
  6. In Crosby's face: "I'm here all day. I'm here all day." Fucking BAD ASS.
  7. "Until someone has a better year than he's had"
  8. "Gonna play until the wheels fall off, baby." Hell ya. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is entering his 11th pro season while coming off one of the best years of his career. He caught 110 passes for 1,338 yards with 12 touchdowns in the regular season, then added 27 receptions for 257 yards with four TDs in the post seas and Kansas City won Super Bowl LVII. Skip Kelce is getting up there in age — particularly for a tight end — as he turns 34 in October. But he doesn’t seem to be planning to retire anytime soon. “Until the wheels fall off, baby,” Kelce said when asked how long he wants to keep playing in his Tuesday press conference. “I love this game and I know I’m going to miss it when I’m done playing. I hear you on that and that’s a business decision I’m sure I’ll have to make at some point in my life. “But right now, I’m in this building wanting to win football games, man.” Kelce is a four-time, first-team All-Pro, last earning that honor in 2022. He noted he’s found a good groove in getting himself ready during training camp and the preseason while staying in shape during the offseason. And he tries to focus on the little details to keep his body right. “I just love the game,” Kelce said. “I think that keeps me living [as] a young, fun-loving football player. I get to play a game for a living at the age of 33, 34. And I don’t want to lose that. I don’t want to lose that excitement for the game that I had when I was a kid. “Every single day I get to come in with the best team, best players, best coaches in the world. So it makes it easy to come in here and just enjoy it.”
  9. Not unusual for an All-Pro veteran to avoid MC during contract negotiations.
  10. Meh... easy to say. Name one sure thing in the NFL when a new guy starts any season. When Veach drafted Mahomes nobody knew he was going to perform at this level. We all were hopeful... but nobody knew... just like nobody knew when they drafted Blackledge. The outsized contracts didn't win the Lombardis. The established ones did... as well as the cheap ones. Way more than Hitch and Clark.
  11. If Taylor holds down the fort allowing Patrick to safely roll right while looking downfield, he's worth every penny.
  12. Guess it depends on how you look at it... I mean, yeah... he made some plays in the post-season that helped us win. But so did Dirty Dan, especially during the post-season run to SB54. Most of this board was thrilled when they didn't bring DD back, and he wasn't costing an arm and a leg. Clark certainly helped us win championships... no denying it... but we paid too much for inconsistency IMO. Hindsight is 20/20.
  13. He has guns that I'd like to have but can't afford... and he's not smart enough to keep them out of sight of the cops. They would be in much better hands with me.
  14. He's the one who tweeted it. What do you think he meant?
  15. He's got rings... he SHOULD go for the dollars. This just means I'll get to root against him now... which will feel so much more natural.
  16. If you ain't figured that out by now, don't know what to tell you
  17. First off, given the history of my posts about clark... you shouldn't be surprised. Second, it's because he's a donk... that's one step (barely) above the raiders. So yeah.
  18. We good on RBs. We need to shore up the DL so our secondary can have a chance to excel.
