  1. This is awesome. Gray can block like a FB.
  2. That's because I had to describe you to the UPS guy delivering your beer.
  3. Yep... esp #1 1. The passing threat makes the running game better 2. Which means we can run it successfully as long as teams are respecting the pass 3. We still need a solid short-yardage guy, but we don't need to pay a fortune
  4. Clark. Were you asleep all season?
  5. Plus, he's keeping in the Chiefs' fine tradition of unpronounceable lineman names.
  6. Ah yes 20/20 hindsight. Andy, Brett and Patrick wanted him rd 1. He didn't work out like we hoped but he doesn't suck. Yeah people are pissed about missing the parade... but at this point, the only thing important is how he can help the team be it in a trade or on the field. If they give him a chance... and frankly I'll be surprised if they do... he'll have a lot to prove. I mean jeez y'all act like I suggested he start over Pacheco/McKinnon...
  7. nobody said anything to the contrary.
  8. Lighten up Francis. He’s a serviceable back that can definitely help us, and he has had some excellent plays for us. Maybe not 1st round worthy, but he clearly has value which we can exploit his last season, if they don’t trade him. He’ll be in a prove it mode which makes it even better.
  9. If we don't trade him, he might have a great season this year. Gonna have a lot to prove working for his next contract with whomever that might be... He is still an excellent RB. Will be good to have him available.
  10. Oh, I watch that game at least once a week. But that don't mean I want to live it again...
  11. Unless you could be up 10 because your defense can stop a good offense. You said yourself a W can be turned into an L with little more than a fluke play or bad call... ask cincy and philly how that feels. Personally, I know how it feels because I been a Chiefs fan for almost as long as you. Starting with that phantom holding call on Dave Szott vs Miami in the playoffs... and continuing on multiple times, including games with that kicker who shall not be named.
  12. That is some ultra-casual fucking talent right there.
  13. Imagine this team with another solid defensive lineman or edge guy. Would love to see them find a way to get an incentive-loaded contract for Frank Clark (did I just say that?) or someone like a Chase Young to add depth. Our offense can and will be top notch this coming season. But if we can improve our DL it takes pressure off a vastly improved secondary and LB corps... man we could wreak havoc and not have to rely on last-second FGs in the playoffs.
  14. Saw that yesterday... same guy said we are also interested in getting Chase Young from Washington.
  15. I'm excited to see what this local kid brings to the defense. He's got the tools...
  16. Anudike-Uzomah, the 31st overall pick and the final selection of the first round back in April, has been through rookie minicamp with the team and is now the sixth rookie to sign out of seven. He joins third-round pick Wanya Morris, fourth-round pick Chamarri Conner, fifth-rounder BJ Thompson, sixth-round selection Keondre Coburn and seventh-round pick Nic Jones as those under contract now for Kansas City. As of Friday afternoon, second-round wideout Rashee Rice is the only Chiefs rookie not currently under contract for 2023 and beyond. At the time this article was published, the details of Anudike-Uzomah's rookie deal with the Chiefs weren't publicly available. Spotrac's preliminary estimates, however, project a four-year pact worth a total value of $11.82 million. That contract estimate includes a $5.59M signing bonus and a 2023 cap hit of $2.15M. Spotrac has the Chiefs estimated at a total of just under $2.31M in available cap space when counting their top 51 contracts on the team. Anudike-Uzomah, a Kansas City native, recorded 8.5 sacks in his final season with the Kansas State Wildcats in 2022. He recorded 96 tackles and 19.5 total sacks over the course of his final two seasons, emerging as one of the more prominent pass rushers in the Big 12 conference. His blend of athleticism and youth makes him a projectable player with a decent amount of upside, which likely endeared him to the Chiefs during the pre-draft process. Now under contract with the team, his childhood dream is officially coming true.
  17. Let the disrespect continue. Patrick Mahomes Named NFL's Third-Most Marketable Player by OLBG Story by Jordan Foote • 5h ago Patrick Mahomes Named NFL's Third-Most Marketable Player by OLBG© Provided by Arrowhead Report on FanNation The NFL offseason is still in full swing, allowing NFL players to get involved with their off-the-field endeavors much more now than during the season. For Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, as well as many others, this makes for a busy time despite not having games to play every week. As Mahomes has risen to the pinnacle of the sport and is now regarded as the best quarterback (and perhaps the best player) in the game, his following has done nothing but grow over the last five or six years. He's a household name in most cases, and his popularity rivals some of the NFL's other top superstars. OLBG recently created an index that determined the most marketable players in the league, and Mahomes took the No. 3 spot. Here's some of what OLBG's article had to say about Mahomes: Having one of the largest social media following of any active NFL star (5.6m), Mahomes scores remarkably high for audience reachability (94.3%) and also well for audience authenticity (69.24%). Combine this with the third-highest audience quality score (83/100) and a strong positive sentiment on Instagram posts (58.36%), Mahomes is likely any brand’s dream. Thanks to his outstanding performances on the field, Mahomes has managed to sign some of the biggest deals in the NFL. Working with the likes of Bose, Oakley, State Farm, and EA, he also signed a massive 10-year deal with Adidas which resulted in him being one the highest-earning stars from off-field endorsements. Mahomes is succeeded by San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams to round out the top five. Ahead of Mahomes were just two stars: Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Mahomes drew praise from OLBG for his incredibly high audience reachability score (94.3%) and overall audience quality (83/100). His estimated earnings/charges per post were found to be $21,200 with an earned media value of $22.15. Explanations for each metric can be found on OLBG's homepage for the index under methodology.
  18. Don't take it too hard Jet... I don't get too many opportunities to masterfully disparage you. Gotta make hay while the sun shines. 🙂
  19. yep... it's just hard for me to say TB after all the time he was a NE guy
