  1. Creed Humphrey agrees to extension that makes him the highest-paid center By Charean Williams Published August 22, 2024 The Chiefs and center Creed Humphrey have agreed to teams on a contract extension, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports it will make Humphrey the league’s highest-paid center. Detroit’s Frank Ragnow previously topped the list in annual average at $13.5 million and guaranteed money at $42 million. Humphrey was scheduled to make a $4.815 million base salary in the final year of his rookie deal. His four-year, $72 million extension includes $50 million guaranteed, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Humphrey has made the Pro Bowl the past two seasons and was second-team All-Pro in 2022. He has never missed a game, starting all 51 possible games since the Chiefs drafted him in the second round.
  2. Not sure the deets yet, but NFL channels says he's now the highest paid center in the league. Hell yeah.
  3. They don't tackle in practice, and they haven't been playing their 1's a lot in preseason. Personally I think it's the best time to play them.
  4. Should have been 7-0. I won't mention any names, but his initials are KADARIUS TONEY
  5. Yeah that's what they said when the injury happened... was hoping there was more recent news. Tyreek took 4 weeks. Would be nice to get him back for Cincy. If he heals as fast as Tyreek he could be ready.
  6. He's got the ability to make WAY more money after football. And I ain't talking about Taylor money. The dude is a natural ham. You give him some good coaching, some natural roles early on, he could actually do pretty well. This role seems pretty much made for him. Patrick should be his other partner.
  7. They'll still be good. Maybe not as good, but certainly capable of stopping drives, especially if they have the lead and Spags can go into Spags-mode. Impossible to replace Sneed, but our coaches have done some damned fine work with our secondary over the years. Watson is serviceable heck he might even be an above average CB now that he'll be playing more. Chenal and Tranquill might not be as gifted in coverage as Gay but they're damned good and know Spags' scheme. We need Omenihu back as soon as possible. With him, we have one of the best and one of the DEEPEST defensive lines in the NFL. The key will be our ability to score early and disrupt opposing teams' offensive gameplans. We should have the ability to do that with our WR and TE corps.
  8. Once he gets a taste of the red carpet, there's no turning back. Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has landed his first movie role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kelce is set to star in "Loose Cannons," an action-comedy film produced by "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski among others. The plot of the film features two cops being forced to become partners after their precincts merge as a result of budget cuts. The duo ends up taking on lower-profile cases that other cops don't want to tackle. In recent years, Kelce has ventured into the entertainment world more frequently. In 2020, the Chiefs star tight end appeared in an episode of Showtime's comedy "Moonbase 8," and also hosted an episode of "Saturday Night Live" in March 2023. Kelce also signed with the entertainment agency CAA back in spring 2023 as he focuses on more projects in Hollywood. He is also slated to host the reboot of the popular game show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" on Amazon Prime. Kelce is about to embark on his 12th NFL season in a few weeks with the Chiefs. He helped lead the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl with a win against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in February. As his career winds down, Kelce is making more of a jump into the Hollywood scene.
  9. I'll see your Houston and raise you a SF on the road.
  10. 13-4 I think we lose: To either the Bengals or the Ravens, but not both as they are home games. If we start out 0-2 losing two at home Chiefs Kingdom gonna implode. At Buff. At 9ers 1 to the Bolts (odds catching up to us)
  11. I mean, we all know the league isn't concerned about justice... they're concerned about ratings and perception. If they punish hi too harshly, people will hate them. If they go too light... people will hate them. Better to wait until it plays out then do what would naturally follow any punishment from the courts.
  12. The NFL can't do anything until the courts decide. If it takes the system a year, then it'll take the NFL a year.
  13. Cornell Powell in particular... he actually had a catch in a preseason game. Wasn't he a #2 pick? Can't remember but it's time for him to shit or get off the pot.
  14. If we're running the ball on 3rd down, I prefer power over speed. But that's just me.
  15. This isn't surprising TBH... but danged if Watson hasn't been a bit of an enigma. The guy absolutely flashes at times. But he just can't seem to string together enough good games getting him to that elite level. He's serviceable... that's about it.
  16. What's the over/under on Reid kicking off a few times?
  17. He should be. Can't wait to see him drill a 64 yarder this year.
  18. Keep it coming. He eats that stuff for dessert.
  19. I want them to be the September AFCW champs. Please. Make it happen.
