  1. Where do you get this? The dude is really good at separation which means he's got some twitch, and he's good at contested balls which means he's definitely athletic.
  2. I think Rice can be an IMMEDIATE JuJu. The kid can get separation and win contested balls. Really looking forward to seeing him learn the routes.
  3. And the kicker is, they didn't need DL help. This will come back to burn them.
  4. First 3 picks immediate starters, day 3 picks getting some steals. Not sure why the A 'minus' because... what's a SB champ supposed to do? We literally had the last pick in the first three rounds, and had to trade up in the second.
  5. fuckin' benglas and Philly... their draft went like they finished 2-15 in 2022
  6. True, it wasn't that he didn't have talent... but a 1st round pick that never pays is a bust no matter the reason. It's a wasted pick.
  7. That's what happens when you draft for need instead of BPA. I mean we could have had Will Levis... and made Collinsworth a happy feller.
  8. I wonder how much of the FAU pick was Veach, or Spags.
  9. Yep. Or, it could look pretty good come December after most of a season.
  10. I'll give them an 'A' for filling needs. Because that's what it is about. This year, really didn't expect much considering SB champs never get to draft high. The draft is not about getting the best player early, as we found out with Blackledge, Snow, Baldwin, Sims, Jenkins, Morris et al. 1st rounders are just as much a gamble as 7th round players, for the most part. IMO the game is about building a solid core of players over a few years, starting with QB. Then it's about plugging immediate holes, and picking up potential replacements for future FA losses. To grade a draft class you need a season or two. We hoped McDuffie/Karlaftis would be immediately productive, because they were 1st round picks of immediate need. They were. But we didn't KNOW they would be. We also hoped Moore, Cook and Chenal would work out. Which they did. But nobody really knew in May 2022. And in fairness, Watson and Pacheco were after-thoughts. We hoped they would contribute early, but again... nobody really knew. That class ended up being awesome. We felt good about it in May 2022 because we had two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks, all of which were at positions of need. But really, you never know. Given Andy/Veach/Spags last 5 years of drafts, we have to be confident in this year's class. They did what they always do. Fill positions of need, grab some late round players for future FA losses, and keep the core both young and affordable. Honestly, I think we have the best in the game when it comes to player evaluation, and planning for the future.
  11. And we all know Deneric is cheaper than name brand.
  12. Yep. But not Dunlap… unless it’s cheap. I liked him.
  13. Veach is clearly laser focused on repeat. He had most needs covered through FA, and any remaining holes he filled through the draft. There weren't any picks that got me off the couch, but upon looking at them more closely, I am immensely satisfied we've improved.
  14. Pacheco wasn't flashy either. Until he played.
  15. long as it doesn't cost too much, as we have other needs I mean we have a few years before we need to start worrying about finding his replacement. More than a few, likely.
  16. I mean yeah... but we are essentially drafting in the round AFTER everyone else. Our 1st is no different than an early second... etc etc so people got to be realistic.
  17. He won't be available for us at 63. We need: LT Interior DL S (or WR) In this order.
  18. I'm still not sure if big running QBs are the future. QBs need to evolve throughout their careers... just like Brady did... stay on top of their game and physical conditioning. Learn to work with what the defenses are giving you and don't carry the team on your legs... that shit won't last in the NFL. Unless they change the rules to minimize hits on QBs even more than currently. That said, I'm old school. I believe in protecting the QB behind the LOS, but if they are advancing the ball via running, they become a RB and fair game.
