  1. maybe all those coaches, GMs and owners should just hire you
  2. xen's called the last three straight. I'm worried we won't have any OTs or WRs left by 31
  3. Gave up their 1st and 3rd next year though... but they still got a pile of picks left this year holy shit
  4. All I know is, that place is going to go wild when the Chiefs pick is made. Holy shit what a crowd.
  5. Anton Harrison Darnell Wright Felix Anudike-Uzomah
  6. We'll make the wild card round, barely, as AFCW runner up to LAC
  7. It's always beer-thirty at mex's house. It's actually 4:30 right now.
  8. He seems like a smart kid who listens to the right people. I loved that he bought into the Royals... it was a good investment, and showed his loyalty to the KC area. There ain't much not to like with that kid I'm just sayin'.
  9. Fuck I'm already crackin' beers. I might not make it either.
  10. Watch everyone stay up late to see Veach's first round pick, then they trade back right before #31...
  11. I think both sides will work together. I believe Clark and Veach will want him earning as much as they can afford. I could see them asking him to keep it as team-friendly as possible so they can keep winning SBs, but I definitely know they'll want to pay him everything he deserves. Hopefully he understands that he can actually have it ALL, by keeping a team friendly contract, making the AFCCG every year, winning a few more SBs short term, joining #12 in the discussion as GOAT, and with it looking at hundreds of millions in endorsements and post-football career options. All that would add up to a hell of a lot more money than what he'd be losing between a team-friendly deal and being the highest paid QB in the league. Can't have all that without many many more AFCCG and SB appearances.
  12. #88 beside him gonna put a hurtin' on the concessions.
  13. Calm your own tits, xennifer lopez. I want to see Patrick protected with a solid OL for the next 5 years. That's not being radical... it's being sensible. I just don't happen to care for the way we've tried to plug in RTs on the left and 'do the best with what we have.' We have a few solid young guys on the OL and it won't take much to top it off. Last year, and the year before, that plug 'n play' model didn't quite work out for us. This year it did... but we still had 75% of this board bitching about wylie and OBJ. Now they're gone. I want to see them use this opportunity to draft a solid, long term solution.
  14. I can't find it but I saw an article that had Mahomes as like the 8th highest paid QB today. Hopefully he's happy and understands he needs a team behind him to become the GOAT.
  15. AH. I thought xen might have come down with Chris Collinsworth disease.
  16. Sorry, I just don't subscribe to the: "Imagine if we gave our offense YET ANOTHER great weapon! We'll score so many points it won't matter!" line of reasoning. I remember the Vermeil years where we scored virtually every fucking time we touched the ball. We had a great OL, one of the best in history, a powerful passing attack, and a ground game second to none. We also had a good QB... but not a great one. In the playoffs, it always came down to who had the ball last. Remember Indy in the playoffs? Whoever had the ball last. Well, that's kinda like NOW. Both the AFCCG and SB came down to last possession. The difference is, now we win those games. Why? Patrick Mahomes. Therefore, keeping him vertical is job #1. End of discussion.
  17. I don't know where we have the cap space, honestly. We still need to sign Jones... he'll be getting more. Still need Dunlap. I don't see it.
