  1. if we take a QB on day 1 or 2 there will be a smashed flat-screen TV and likely boot-sized holes in my LR sheetrock.
  2. Not sure I agree. No target was more elite than Tyreek yet neither he nor kelce could get open vs TB in the SB. Why? Because Patrick was running for his fucking life. Give Patrick time, and he’ll dice up a defense. Can’t have a strong vertical game when your QB is horizontal.
  3. ESPN? Surprised they didn't have us taking Dylan Mulvaney.
  4. I'd be amazed if they took him at 31 or traded up. Losing Reek in 2022 proved Mahomes can perform beautifully with mid-level FAs and mid level draftees. We need OT depth, and this is a good year for OTs. Yeah we're all projecting our wishes... but the actions of Veach/Reid this year tell a story about how they look at WRs. Then again, what do I know... they took CEH at #1 with Reek on the roster. They gonna take whomever they're enamored with.
  5. I can't wait to see Cincy work out Burrow's contract... along with Tee and Chase. And their defense.
  6. xen just shorten your sign to "AZZHOLE" we'll all know who you're talking about.
  7. Yep... Smith is doable, but we'd need to trade up. Not sure any starting tackles will be around after giving up that kinda draft capital on Smith. That is, if you're talking about Nolan which I think you are. If they go OT first, I'd love B Jones but I don't think he'll be anywhere near 31. Wouldn't mind seeing D Jones at 31... but only if Harrison is gone. IMO there are at least 7 rookie starters this year, only 3 of which expected to go before the Chiefs at 31. I think the below order is how they'll fall, so I still like Harrison without having to trade up. P Johnson P Skoronski B Jones A Harrison D Jones D Wright C Mauch
  8. That's why I like Adebawore... he's not real long, but has long arms and is quick... ran a sub 4.5 at the combine. He doesn't have a lot of experience and is raw... but he's got exactly those tools.
  9. Smith is certainly possible... you see us trading up for Jones?
  10. Name your prediction for our #1 and #2 2023 picks: #1 Anton Harrison OT - OU #2 Adetomiwa Adebawore Edge - NEB
  11. Dude you never needed it to be legalized...
  12. If they actually get Bijan, you will be even more insufferable than normal. And that's pretty danged insufferable.
  13. Let's get something straight here. Teams ALWAYS look at ways to move up. Always. They'll also have plans in place to move down if the player board shuffles differently than planned. Nobody ever knows how the selections will go down. Teams are not real cooperative in letting other teams know their plans. Veach/Andy have their board. They know who they want and they know who they like. They'll plan for every contingency. If a player they really want but don't have high hopes for getting drops further than anticipated, then they'll absolutely look at trading up. If the players they want get selected earlier, and there aren't really any guys they're interested in at 31, then they'll trade back if possible. They'll likely have a dozen contingencies or more, depending on how the board shuffles. Said it before and will say it again, I'd love to be in that room during the draft... to see it play out.
  14. Count me in on the exploding head if we draft a RB early. The Kansas City Chiefs have plenty of current and future positions of need that make sense to address in the 2023 NFL Draft, and the running back spot is one of them. While many expect general manager Brett Veach to roll the dice on a halfback on Day Two or Day Three of the draft, there's been a bit of recent buzz surrounding an early-round player entering the mix. In Albert Breer's annual NFL Draft week column on Sports Illustrated, he provides the latest team- and league-specific tidbits he's heard leading up to one of the biggest events of the NFL offseason. As far as the Chiefs are concerned, Breer reports that Kansas City has been making calls around the league regarding trading up in the first round. In addition to Boston College wideout Zay Flowers being name-dropped, Breer says another name has been floated as a possible trade-up candidate — Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs: It's important to note that a certain player's fit with the Chiefs being appealing (or scary) to others doesn't indicate interest on behalf of the team itself. An NFC executive endorsing that possible pick may not jive with how Veach feels about Gibbs, let alone Kansas City's other prospects at or near pick No. 31. That element is still up in the air despite Breer's reporting A trade-up in the first round would be a rather aggressive move by Veach and company, but they're just one year removed from executing a jump up the board for Trent McDuffie. Veach is known for his willingness to patch up holes via high-profile trades, and the Chiefs moving up to get "their guy" isn't out of the question. Could that be Gibbs? Absolutely, although the emergence of Isiah Pacheco as a rookie could render that chance to being a slim one. Gibbs's combination of patience and pass-catching chops could give Andy Reid something new to work with in the backfield, but don't expect it to come to fruition on Thursday night.
  15. When you have a mediocre team, draft BPA. When you have a great team, plug holes. LT, Edge, S, WR, CB, DL, TE (not necessarily in that order) Get McKinnon and Dunlap back in the red and gold.
