CP had some amazing drafts... singlehandedly brought us out of the basement and built us into a perennial playoff team.
But CP had some COLOSSAL fucking busts. IIRC he was about 50/50 in the first round, but that included 3 Hall of Famers.
You can't win them all. Sooner or later Veach will have a few busts. Just hoping they are few and far between.

I don't think it would go down like that. Mahomes dictates who gets the ball anyways. I think the guy would add a lot and could help us for the next few years. JMO
He will get cut. If DHop wants to be here, he'll take a restructured contract that makes him 'look good' but is affordable long term. The dude wants a SB, and his current team will never get there as long as his potential team is in their conference. I could see a 2 year contract with incentives like JuJu... having him for a season or two would be HUGE for the offense.
He would be an amazing addition, without a doubt... but we would need to not only restructure a few existing contracts to free cap space, but we'd need to give him a short, incentivized contract that will likely be less than he wants. He does want a ring though, so my guess is if he's available come June 1, Veach could get it done.
