  1. I don't get the vitriol over him. Is he a superstar? No. Was he a disappointment? Yeah, somewhat. But he can help us. He's an insurance policy. He helped us beat SD which was a CRITICAL W that helped us win the division last year. He also helped on several huge plays in the SB.
  2. Speaking of contracts... how much do the agents typically make on a contract? I've always wondered.
  3. I remember people calling for Toub's job.
  4. We been doing pretty good with rentals and rookies.
  5. It was a no win for the Bills... if they trade with NE they're trading with a division rival. If the trade with KC they're trading with a conference rival. Obviously the Bills didn't have anyone in that slot they thought would address their needs. So they traded and got a little more bang for their buck. It ain't like NE would have given them a shitpile more... maybe a slightly better deal but who knows. Obviously the Bills were more comfortable with the Chiefs offer, which is why they accepted it.
  6. Question of the day is Powell... he's been a disappointment.
  7. Seems slightly less to me. Edelman Remigio 40 4.52 4.57 20 spl 2.58 2.66 10 spl 1.52 1.57 Vertical 36.5 36.0 Broad 1003 1001 Shuttle 3.92 4.33 3 cone 6.62 7.20
  8. Nothing is pointless 3 months before the season starts. Gotta have something to argue about for crying out loud...
  9. Bill Russell is underrated. He deserves to be in the convo too.
  10. Far as I'm concerned, he's already earned GOAT status. And as you already know, my opinion is the only one that matters.
  11. I like the kid... but he is a def long shot. His body type is similar to Julian Edelman so IMO size isn't as big a detraction... though he is slightly less athletic, we don't need him to be Edelman we just need him to be consistent, which he can with the other weapons we have. I'm pulling for him.
  12. 5 SBs and 7 straight CC's? (Really hoping that's the case after this season.) As stated above, SBs are not the only factor. Unfortunately the pundits decide GOATS, and championships seem to be their highest priority. With Mahomes' 3rd "Come From Behind Last Minute SB Win" many pundits are reluctantly leaning his way... my guess is it will be a while as PM has quite a ways to go in most major stats. #12 has 23 years, 89,214 yds (3879 yds/season ave) #15 has 7 years, 28,424 (4737 yds ave) If PM can continue his pace he'll become the leader in his 18th season, while #12 took 23. Considering he's had a season or two with a sub-standard receiving corps, it seems plausible he'll continue (if not exceed his pace) over the next 5-10 years. IMO all Patrick needs to do is win one or two more SBs and stay healthy enough to surpass #12 in total yds. 22 years is a long time, but Patrick seems to be taking care of himself long term. He gets it.
  13. He'd be my first choice... then LRZ.
  14. 3 peat ends the debate as DH says... but IMO anyone who knows football understands #15 is BY FAR the more skilled, gifted, and talented football player. Greatness isn't defined by SB wins alone. If that were the case, Brad Johnson would be considered better than Dan Marino.

  16. Kansas City Chiefs running back Louis Rees-Zammit, who joined the Chiefs this offseason via the International Pathway Program (IPP), has an uphill battle to make the team’s 2024 regular season roster. But according to Chiefs special teams coordinator and assistant head coach Dave Toub, Rees-Zammit is already getting reps as a starter on special teams. “Louis has done above and beyond what I expected. He can kick field goals… he can be a kickoff guy for us. He’s every bit as good as Justin (Reid) [when it comes to] moving the football and stuff like that on kickoffs. He’s really working hard on the [kick] returner job. I’ve got him in as the starter right now so he can get in as many reps as he can. But he’s a student of the game — he comes in after every practice, he wants to be great — he’s a great athlete.” Though Toub admitted that Rees-Zammit has a long way to go mentality-wise since he has just begun playing football, it appears that the former rugby star’s athleticism has already proven to be a potential asset on kick returns as the Chiefs try to morph based on the NFL’s new kickoff rules. Louis Rees-Zammit: a Former Welsh Rugby Star It doesn’t take much time while watching Rees-Zammit’s rugby highlights to understand why the Chiefs signed him. Rees-Zammit, 23, stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 194 pounds. What stands out about the Wales native when watching his rugby tape is his quickness and long speed for his size, and all of that is blended with tackle-breaking ability. His speed showed up again during his IPP Pro Day when he ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash, per the Associated Press on March 22, though he said afterward he was disappointed with that time and believes he can run low 4.3s, high 4.2s. At the 2024 IPP Pro Day, Rees-Zammit ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash, per the Associated Press on March 22, though he said afterward he was disappointed with that time and believes he can run low 4.3s, high 4.2s. Rees-Zammit will not count against Kansas City’s 90-man roster or the team’s practice squad due to the IPP roster exemption, which is the main reason why he is essentially a risk-free addition for the Chiefs. Rees-Zammit comes at a very low cost (three years, $2.8 million, per Over The Cap) and does not take up a roster space. If Rees-Zammit performs exceptionally this upcoming season, whether it be on offense or special teams, the Chiefs will have found themselves a diamond in the rough via the IPP. But if he can’t transfer his talents from the rugby pitch to an NFL field, then Kansas City can cut ties with him and suffer minimally from it. Ad Andy Reid Talks About Louis Rees-Zammit Speaking to the media on April 15, Kansas City head coach Andy Reid discussed what the team’s plan is for Rees-Zammit as he embarks on a potential career in the NFL with the two-time defending Super Bowl champions. “He (Louis Rees-Zammit) was introduced to this when he was young because his dad played six years in the European League (English Football League) and so he’s somewhat familiar with the sport,” Reid explained during his press conference. “He sure has had a lot of success with rugby and there are some similarities there, it’s a contact sport, he’s had to catch the ball and do those things and run with the ball. We’ll start him off at the running back position, get him to feel comfortable with that going forward here. He’s had an opportunity to also go down there to Dallas and work with Pat (Mahomes) and so again, he’ll get used to some of these calls and through our Zooms, the plays and then we’ll just see where it goes from there. He’s sitting there at 23 years old, he’s had a pretty good career with that and kind of understands the professional game and the mindset of playing at a professional level.”
  17. They have also been looking at LRZ for kickoff duties.
  18. Yeah but he's showing off the bling... look at all them $1 bills... gotta be at least 130 bucks in there!
  19. No you won't. You'll help yourself to the fridge and make 1-900-milf calls.
  20. Yep. It's been a temporary quick-bake pie not meant to sit on the window sill very long. For the last three years. It's been adequate, but barely. I'd like to grab a LTOTF we can depend on for the next 5-8 years, so Patrick has one less worry.
