One of my clients is a 9-year NFL veteran... safety... played in SB 50. I helped him take his first bull a few years ago... we stay in touch. Talked to him this morning... asked what he thought about all that cincy smack, and whether it might make players play harder or more motivated. He said it depends. What was the level of smack and who was it directed towards, and also the individual player. He said to some of the players, it's just a game and they'll be motivated because it's the playoffs. Said to others, it won't matter because they're just concerned about doing their job. But he also said every player is different... and some players are incredibly loyal to their squad and the town that supports them... from teammates to the coaches and even the front office. He said many players absolutely use bulletin board material as motivation... especially the leaders and players who will be around for a while. Like Patrick... and CJ. Said if they are truly irritated by the smack talk... they'll be on a mission. He said the media tends to hype everything up to generate clicks etc which we already knew... also said he wouldn't be surprised if many Chiefs come out fired up having heard some of the smack. He wouldn't be surprised if it gave a slight edge to KC. Said the teammates seem to love Patrick... and the mayor's slight (which he hadn't heard about till I told him) might piss off quite a few of Patricks loyal teammates. Not that it matters... whichever team makes the fewest mistakes is bound to win tomorrow. This is a dude who's been there... thought his perspective was interesting.

I have, but I'm not in the kind of shape these athletes are in. In fact I'd say the REASON my back was tweaked was because I wasn't in shape. We don't know what we don't know. Hopefully it isn't anything serious.

Apparently in Chris Jones' interview today he frequently referred to Arrowhead as Burrowhead, without being prompted. He closed the interview by saying "See y'all at Burrowhead." These guys are pissed.

The video is way worse than the text above it. That dude is literally TRYING to piss off the team.

I agree, but dammit you have to occasionally win it all. And with Patrick Mahomes, we should win multiple SBs. The Bills were SB contenders with DAMNED good teams from 1989-2000 with the exception of 2 seasons. During that stretch they went to 5 conference championships and 4 straight SBs. That's AMAZING when you think about it. Not sure their fans remember those years as any sort of golden age. Winning the Hunt is awesome... but we got to win the Lombardi. I don't want to be buffaloed.
