  1. Yeah I mistyped it at 29... the report I saw said 21 high brrrrrr
  2. High of 21. Cloudy with a slight chance of snow come gametime. From the internets... anyone out there have better info?
  3. Heard a pretty good exchange between Colin Cowherd and Mark Schlereth talking about Patrick's injury. Schlereth says he's had the exact injury as Patrick... when someone rolled up on his lower leg. Said the pain is tolerable... unless you try to pivot or otherwise put side-to-side pressure on it. He says when that happens it is excruciating pain... the worst he's ever had as an NFL player. Said they wrapped him heavily, and gave him a shot which drifted down and made his entire foot numb. He said he could play like that, but the cuts and pivots could potentially prevent healing and even make it worse. Schlereth went on to say he couldn't believe Patrick finished that game because the pain had to be unbearable... and said the fact he did shows just how tough he is and what kind of a leader we have. Apparently the joint where the tibia and fibula meet the foot is called the syndesmosis, and it's the cartilage between the two, which stabilizes your lower leg, that gets torn or inflamed in a high ankle sprain. Schlereth says at most, Patrick will be at 70%... likely less especially if he's pressured. This game is going to show what kind of mettle our OL have. If they aren't motivated to play their best game ever, with their leader out there giving it his all, there's something wrong.
  4. Two of those catches vs Buff last year were pretty big, I'd have to say. Here's hoping he bests all of those performances on Sunday.
  5. That's why Andy needs to be flexible. If they aren't stacking the box early on, come out running the ball like crazy. Let Pacheco/McKinnon have a field day. When they adjust, and they WILL adjust, hit them with play-action and get Kelce involved on the crossing routes they're so good at. Send Toney and JuJu deep to keep the safeties honest. A few wheel routes would open things up too.
  6. I tend to think the ball didn't go as far as Butker wanted. Knowing how our STs have been struggling, I doubt they wanted to kick to their return guy. Just my .02
  7. I have been saying that for a long time. Just curious though... is play-action less effective from shotgun? Seems like from under center, the QB is taking at least 3 steps with the ball out ready to hand off, which is what triggers the LBs to commit... from the shotgun, the LBs know if it's a fake within a second or two... that dynamic might change things a bit. I'm no football guru... maybe that's a question for someone more experienced...
  8. that was a hell of a block... on a guy 30 lbs heavier, running full speed on a blitz
  9. I'd like to see more of McKinnon breaking off his block and getting out into the flats for the dump off option... and Pacheco on wheel routes. We need to use every tool in the box, and mix it the fuck up. Andy has a tendency to mix it up early then get entirely predictable. We won the SB because he wasn't predictable.
  10. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. (Waiting for kk's 42-17 prediction)
  11. I'd love it if they said 'doubtful' all week and DNP... Then he shows up Sunday healthy as a horse.
  12. Certainly we'll see movement esp if news of PM isn't positive. Sure wouldn't mind seeing it reversed.
  13. Actually, I completely demolished your "Cincy lucked out with a 99 yd fumble return" claim. Chiefs did the same fucking thing vs LA. The EXACT same fucking thing. Divisional games are tough.
  14. Regardless, we're not a home dog. And doubt we'll be in 7 days.
  15. Oh, I agree with that, but it still doesn't mean they'll play poorly. My hope is they spent their emotion (and their luck) at buffalo... and might come out flat in KC. If we can score early, and capitalize on a TO or two... we have a solid chance even with an injured Mahomes. This will likely be another nailbiter though... Cincy is a lot better than Jax.
  16. We aren't the dog... we're 2.5 pt favorites right now...
  17. Me too... all we ever heard was how injuries have devastated the Cincy OL
  18. That don't mean anything kk. We got beat by the 4-12 colts.
  19. Meh... divisional games are always hard. And the transitive property doesn't apply to football. We "almost lost" to the Chargers and LV both at Arrowhead. We only beat the Chargers because of a lucky 99 yd int. A 14 pt switch. We also got beat by Indy. Think Cincy is going into this thinking "The Chiefs couldn't even beat Indy!!"
