  1. Steal for the Chiefs. I heard it is for a "conditional pick". Talking heads are all over screaming the Chiefs stole him. I agree with Diehard- this is for next year and if he lights it up this year...great. Net - Net.....The dude does not play well for Reid and Mahomes- he greatly undercuts his own value. Advantage KC. w
  2. That Yard Stencil of the Chiefs Logo would be fun to have in the Bay Area....... w
  3. He makes others around him better except the National Media. Some people can not be helped. w
  4. Meh....The Chargers win was a very big deal and the Chiefs O was not operating on all cylinders. I think we all agree that KC, Buffalo and San Diego are the top teams. So far, so good. w
  5. No Matter- White on White or Red on Red....Chiefs have by far the best Uni's in the NFL.
  6. Its always comes back to Championships. Pat has 2 AFC Hunt Trophy's and a Lombardi....If Dee Ford had been traded a year sooner- Pat would have 3 Hunt's and maybe a 2nd Lombardi..... I'll take Mahomes 100 out of 100 times.....and I took 13 seconds to think this through......
  7. Intel..... Good stuff. Tony Dungy nailed it above....Open Draft of every NFL Player and Patrick Mahomes is the #1 pick 100 our of 100 times. w
  8. What makes it good is that the Chiefs have played in four AFC Championships in a row....These players are getting MEANINGFUL snaps. Also, I agree with you OT. Hunt Jr. has done a great job as well IMO. But I am not a "local" so I would like to know what the folks in the great KC area think? w
  9. Best Coach-GM Duo in the league. Veach has been a very good GM. w
  10. I do not think they are done....Bell to IR is for sure. The Practice Squad seems to be well stocked with guys that can step in. The "trade" thing is a bit of a wild card. We all know that the GM is always working to improve the roster. w
  11. I am with Seems, although something keeps pushing me to say 8-8...... This year, I see 13-4 and they go to the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes is the best in the business and the D will improve. I do not see the Chargers, Raiders or Broncos as teams that have it figured out. Buffalo does and they are a threat w
  12. The thing that really matters is that KC was going to lose Hill anyway. They played their cards to get the MAX payback possible. The underlying assumption is that KC knows what they are doing in the draft. IMO, they are among the best in the business since Brett Veach and Andy Reid started working together. w
  13. I like Pacheco so far.... McDuffie, Moore and Karlaftis are doing well. Justin Watson and Fortson are doing great. Overall, so far so good. w
  14. Buechele looked to be pretty darn good to me. No way he goes to the practice squad this year. w
  15. My all time favorite Chief. Prayers and Respect. w
  16. I'll watch the new guys as mentioned by everyone.....most interest in D-Line, Edge, Special Teams and the DB's. I hope to see Reid kick a field goal. w
  17. Frankly, I see nothing about our rookies that concern me at all. The things I really like: 1. Frank seemingly grew up this off season and has recommitted himself. 2. Veach brought in Dunlap 3. The Vets are working with George and constantly give him positive comments. I can't wait to see the defense next Saturday.... w
  18. I think we are turning into a bunch of nit-pickers and passing judgement on players that have yet to line up for even an exhibition game snap. KC will be just fine this season but it is prudent to expect a bit of a slow start. The skills group on offense has been shuffled so it may take some time for them to gel. We have a #1 receiver- a dude named Kelce. The question is not about an "#1 WR" ...its about a WR demanding a double team like Hill received on most snaps. Can that be Hardman....maybe....the dude is just as fast as Hill on the long routes- he does not have Hill's athleticism and quickness on the short / intermediate routes. WR's are important- but schemes and a QB that can make EVERY throw is far more important. Pat Mahomes is the difference maker and our O-Line is going to be among the best in the business. I think, after they get their rhythm, the defense will be much better after they figure it out. Andy Reid is still our HC and Spags is one of the better D-Coordinators. We may not host the AFC Championship- but that has not proven to be a panacea either. It's all about how the team gels in the 2nd Half of the season as they will be as good as any team down the stretch if they can stay relatively healthy. w
  19. I'm sold on 15....He is far more dynamic than Brady. By the time 15 retires (in 25 years....) it will be a common view. If it was only about Championships, Bill Russell would be the man-not MJ. w
