  1. CB Competition at camp is going to be fantastic when coupled with the WR Competition....think about all the "must win" battles that will happen in those 7-7 drills. This team is deep. w
  2. Glass is full.....Its amazing what Veach was able to do. w
  3. Agree, and you called out the worry. Suh coupled with Chris Jones is pretty scary...
  4. I read somewhere that the Georgia Defense had more first round picks this year than 3-4 other than SEC conferences combined...man o man. w
  5. We still have cap room.... I think Suh is still out there.... Just sayin.... e
  6. He thought he would be a round two pick..... Angry dude.. w
  7. I'm kinda a sad Gruden is no longer there....
  8. One of the networks also mentioned his weight loss and "a better diet". I heard one of his interviews and the guy is playing with a 4x4 on his shoulder. Camp this year is going to be a WAR..... Guys will be battling for every snap. Fenton, Hardman, Liang,Thornhill, CEH....all have to step up. w
  9. Been dead since 1998....Wilkie is at 8-8 with the 17 game season. w
  10. My dream is that Xen and Arrowhead both agree the Chiefs had a great draft, OT & Wilkie predict 13-4 for 2022 and Mex is so happy that he sends me a case of Beer.
  11. QB's are rising as well......Its going to be a fun day 1.... w
  12. 49ers are "troubled"....Deebo is their best offensive player by far. w
  13. Chiefs have something like 12 picks? no way they keep all 12 because the Chief's roster is pretty good. They will trade for a lower first round pick (IMO) and maybe even bundle and move up 2X to get a Edge and a WR.... Veach is smart and there is no reason to draft 12 guys and then cut 5 of them... w
  14. I was never impressed with his tackling ability....but he was a great leader. It is about money and I think he may be disappointed. Love to see him come back and finish with KC on a 3 year deal that is good for all parties. He could easily get another ring. w
  15. Since 2017 KC has had approximately 12 Arrests.. The rate is accelerating in the Reid Era. The Chiefs search for talent first? w
  16. It's so nice having Arrowhead back.....I feel like I am 30 again.. w
  17. Source: Kansas City Chiefs add a WR, reach three-year deal with Marquez Valdes-Scantling 12:59 PM PT Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is signing a three-year, $30 million deal worth up to $36 million with the Kansas City Chiefs, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. With the move, Valdes-Scantling goes from the NFL's reigning MVP in Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a former MVP in Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The agreement comes a day after the Chiefs traded star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. For the Packers, it's another wide receiver the team will have to replace after trading star wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders last week. The speedy Valdes-Scantling has averaged 17.5 yards per catch since he entered the NFL in 2018, which is the fourth-highest average in the league over that span. He's the only player in the league to rank in the top 10 in yards per catch in each of the last three seasons (among those with a minimum of 25 catches). Valdes-Scantling, 27, also joined James Lofton as the only players in Packers' history with 25-plus receptions and an average of 15-plus yards per catch in each of his first four NFL seasons. ADVERTISEMENT After playing in every game over his first three seasons, he missed six games last season -- five because of a hamstring injury and one because of COVID-19. That limited him to just 26 catches (tying a career low) for 430 yards (a career low) and three touchdowns. A fifth-round pick of the Packers in 2018, Valdes-Scantling dropped 12 passes in his first three seasons combined but made it through the entire 2021 season without a drop, according to ESPN Stats & Information. He has 123 receptions for 2,153 yards and 13 touchdowns in 59 career games. ESPN's Rob Demovsky contributed to this report.
  18. NFL Network reporter Jeffri Chadiha provided some updates on the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent free-agent visits and threw a new name into the fold in terms of free agent interests. According to Chadiha, the Chiefs have an interest in former Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers CB Stephon Gilmore. Right now, the only thing stopping the team from signing Gilmore seems to be his asking price. Once considered one of the league’s premier shutdown corners, Gilmore dealt with injury throughout the 2021 NFL season, limiting him to just eight games with the Panthers. The Chiefs have some newfound cap space following the trade of Tyreek Hill, but they seem to be hesitant to go all-in on any particular free agent right now. Gilmore would certainly be an impactful signing given the loss of Charvarius Ward, but Kansas City might have to leave their comfort zone if they’re to sign him. Expect them to continue to explore other options at the cornerback position as well. As for the visits, Chadiha reports that the Chiefs are currently “50-50” on signing former Green Bay Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who has taken or will soon take a visit with the Chiefs. Their confidence seems to be greater in their ability to add former Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones, who is also in town for a visit. Again, the Chiefs seem to be taking a cautious approach here. They’re not in a rush because they want to make sure they’ve exhausted all options when it comes to improving the team.
