  1. Now he needs to fix the training rooms and hire a couple of dieticians....lol
  2. Rice does not strike me as an idiot. He is taking full responsibility for his side of this (Brilliant stroke in wording by his lawyer) so he gets the benefit of the doubt from me. I am still seeing a plea deal (Misdemeanor) and a 2-4 game NFL suspension. My fear is LT and interior line depth as watching Pat Mahomes running for his life is not part of a good plan.
  3. 4. I think the Chiefs coaches on the D-Line, O-Line and DBackfield know exactly what they have....
  5. Let's hope KT gets it together. This is a good start. w
  6. I think it should just play out and see what happens here. I recommend his attorney move the trial to Seattle of Portland to start. Also, Rice should blame Trump....that SOB is behind everything apparently....or maybe Rice is related to Biden. You know, the whole equal justice under the law thingy. w
  7. Talk about a thread swerve.... i am still at probation and a 2-4 game suspension. Rice was not rational and he fled.....He needs to mature. The good news, he is not lying to anyone and willing to make "good" to folks. Give him (and his attorney) credit for that at least.
  8. According to Mahomes, Nagy provided Patrick with the plays Coach Reid was going to quiz him on. Patrick spent the evening before meeting with Coach Reid preparing. Mahomes aced the "Reid Test" the next day and Andy gave Veach his endorsement to move up and get Mahomes. w
  9. Props to Veach and Nagy on Mahomes. Nagy was "sold" on Patrick by Veach and made sure Mahomes passed the Andy Reid examination. That said, Jet is spot on. It takes much effort and forward thinking to maintain excellence in the NFL.
  10. I listened to Red Beard last night....He is speculating a 2 game suspension. My thoughts.....No one was hurt....Rice will agree to a plea deal. Prison is not a possibility. w
  11. Good signing....Andy likes the Vet in the QB Room.
  12. Thanks for the information and thoughts. Much appreciated from a longtime Chiefs fan and out of towner.
  13. I read Clark's request to the tax payers on the Chiefs' Website. I was curious on what you guys think about this and will the measure carry? I am not a local so my opinion is not meaningful.
  14. let's wait for the facts...Same thing many of us said to the Wilkster a few years ago.....
  15. Great thread.... Phase II of Free Agency is ongoing and I think KC will continue to be opportunistic as they always are.... They need to address T , BU QB, BU RB, and Edge IMO.... I would be fine with Jet and Mike Dana coming back with KC friendly contracts as an example. I hear Gabbert or maybe Carson Wentz as the BU QB is out there as well. I think the next 3 weeks of Free Agency will define Draft priorities as Veach attempts to "shape" both the 2024 and 2025 Rosters. My guess is that KC may move up to get that 1st Rd talent if there is a "Hole"....No hole....they likey down for more picks. Veach think both short and long and uses all available tools....love the way he operates.
  16. Great Strategy by Veach Inc. The market is a variable out of his control but the overall approach was fantastic. Chiefs get picks for a guy that would have left because KC could not afford him. KC returns the $19 mil to the pot for extensions and the 1-2 holes they will attempt to fill before the draft. As we have been reminded, Veach and Reid want to be able to "line up and Play" BEFORE the draft to have maximum flexibility for Trades and grabbing BPA's. Great Off season so far....
  17. I think he would be welcomed back if he is reasonable. based on the fact no one is throwing a bag of cash at him....it might happen.
  18. Good question... Other question: Will Rogers stay healthy?
  19. On the Sneed side....Sometime, in the middle of the night he has to be thinking about a couple of things. 1. Does he really want to stay in KC for the Long term 2. Does he have a knee injury? (His level of play in the playoffs and SB did not indicate it) 3. Is it better to sign a long term deal with KC at say $15mil per year for 4 years with $50 mil guaranteed? #3 would keep me awake I think
  20. I think we are fairly well positioned for a BPA draft. Of course, moving Sneed and getting back that $20 mil would enable predraft moves like: 1. LT Plan 2. QB 2 Plan 3. BU RB 4. BU Interior Line for the O
  21. It sure is great having the last pick in rd one! LOL Agree that Sneed > Bolton but that DB room is loaded with talent. Bolton is the QB of the Defense....and Spags loves him as mentioned earlier. We still need to address LT, Edge and LB. I think we have the DL set with all the re signings....
  22. The playoffs went well for the o-Line as they seemed to get it together at the right time. I think it would be great if we had "options" vs throwing Morris into the job. That said, the Sneed trade, or lack thereof, is causing a bit of a timing issue perhaps. w
  23. Good for Tommy....he has more rings than an awful lot of guys. w
