The Sneed "trade" is holding Veach up a bit.....If he can get a deal done he will have an extra $20mil to use. This was the biggest question when we tagged Sneed...Can we get a deal done with another team or Sneed quickly to give KC more options early in Free Agency.....Veach already understood this and weighed the options available. He would rather have a solid draft pick vs high end free agents. w

Merritt is a superstar....But our CB's performance is heavily influenced by the pressure up front (Joe Cullen)and Spags scheme.... We have excellent coaches for sure. w

If Jones does not sign a contract, KC will be flush with Cap Money to spend. You can not replace Chris Jones with one player....but you can upgrade another DL position and sign a serviceable replacement for Jones. Will that be the best outcome...No...but it is a possibility. If any team comes up with a 2nd Rd Pick or better, Sneed is a goner. There are now plenty of solid corners on the market for far less than Sneed's cap hit. w

The agents agenda and the players agenda are somewhat aligned in this case. That said, Chris Jones puts his name on the contract. Jones has pledged to remain in KC. I will hold him to that. w

Agree....He might be assuming that the Chiefs front load the contract this year to provide space for next year as the interior O-Line comes up for contracts... I think KC is working on this "smoothing" with Mahomes and ultimately Chris Jones....If they get it "right" they can do more this year for the 3 peat.....

Mitchell Schwartz had a nice response to this in the Star today. He basically said that this is used by the NFLPA to "shame owners" into improving conditions for players. He stated FA's rank the following as their top priorities to sign with a new team: 1. Money 2. Money 3. Winning Culture (Coaches...)

SF is a bit of a mess right now. Ownership is not thrilled with Lynch the GM. Lynch is not thrilled with Shanahan. The players are not thrilled that the organization made Wilks the fall guy.... KC offers stability with Coach Reid....Patrick Mahomes and the chance to make history again. Spags has already made history as a DC

Jet, never underestimate the "dumb ass" nature of folks......Hardman went from "Maybe take a flyer on him"......to "Run Away!"..... The Chiefs may resign him but it should be very cheap. Hardman and Toney should just be quiet.... w

The Poll was established by the NFL Players Association and this is year two of polling. I think >80% of the players submitted anonymous ratings this year, up substantially from last year. In other words, the poll is not going away. I think the ratings around dietician, trainers and facilities are being very poorly managed by Hunt. Bringing on 2-3 dieticians could add maybe $100K to annual costs. Getting better trainers should be a piece of cake as everyone wants to be part of the Chiefs' family. The facilities are a capital investment that basically burns cash in the short term but can be depreciated over 15-20 years. Smart business owners can use naming rights and advertising to bring a $100 mil facility down to $50mil of actual costs pretty easy. Hunt is shortsighted or listening to the wrong advisors. I am a bit biased as Mark Donovan kinda gives me the creeps every time he is up on the stage..... w

It is all about dollars for this year as in 4 years the only Cap hit right now is MVP.... I think Kelce and Thuney can go 3 more years.....does not seem to be too big a stretch. w

I think it is a bit too soon to put much weight into this.....Chiefs seem to be able to "overcome" these horrible scores so my guess is that the weighting of these scores must be much lower than: 1. They could hit "the bargain basement" for a 30ish Vet that can come in and contribute. Rashee Rice is an exception in coming in and picking up the offense and being effective so quickly. Skyy more hype in St. Joe is not enough.

Add "releasing MVS" to the list. Chiefs can afford one more year of Sneed at $17 mil. Shutdown cornerS are a huge part of our defense. RGR had a really nice breakdown of things KC can do to gain more cap space for this year. 1. Release MVS 2. Restructure or extend Thuney 3. Restructure or extend Kelce 4. Restructure Taylor 5. I look back at all the absolutely critical games, especially the playoffs, AFC Championships and SB's where we win in OT or stay alive on by a FG. Our FG unit is essential and we, as fans, owe them for their excellence. We all have experienced the absolute heartbreak on the other side of this equation....... Probably only the Bills fans know how horrible missed FG's can be in Championship games..... I do not every want to go back to that.

Yelling at players is over rated...What works in college is Playing Time and Expendability.... Generally, 70% of a college roster is made up of guys that are just to the right of the keep line. These folks will do anything the college coach "asks" them to do. The question is how to keep the other 30% in your program motivated and inspired. In major program, it is about making it to the NFL and the draft. Coaches have a huge say by "PT" and "stealth recommendations" to pro coaches & Buds. w

Kinda right Jet... Apparently, Punt God had consensual sex with the plaintiff before she entered the party. Punt God then left the scene and was not on video showing he ever entered the party with the alleged perps.....Plaintiff dropped her complaint when the video evidence supported Punt God.. Give it up for Veach.....he found a potential star on the bargain priced rack.

Townsend apparently signed with Drew Rosenhous last summer. (Tyreeks agent) and Veach has been planning since that day. TT is not going to take a discount. Veach is one smart and opportunistic GM w
