Well we were clearly in FG range and our RB fumbled. Defense obviously sucked but without them we would have been down 9 so...... Offense went vanilla and Spags played panzy ball.

Bolton isn't fast. He tested very poorly. Probably why we got him in the 2nd. But he is explosive in the box and is physical. Will be a good Hitchens replacement.
Still not sure why KJ Wright and Melvin Ingram aren't on this team.

Somebody, anybody is better than absolutely no one. They have a stable of backup running back and we have covered the back on 75% of the runs tonight and LJ has torched us.....but yeah lets keep doing what we've been doing all half.
I know Spags can't tackle or play D but he has got to stop calling passive games when we go up. Attack, Attack, Attack.....if we get beat oh well.
LJ is known to make mistakes when pressured. We rush 4 and never touch him and allow him to decide if he wants to rush or pass.
We've played reactive D all night after the first quarter and our guys are playing timid.
I'm all for getting the run game going but this delayed hand off doesn't give the rb momentum to hit the hole. Plus they kinda stacked the box on that first down call. Two drives on first down we get behind the chains on a first down run and they end in punts. Play calling has been iffy since half.
He was electric in college but he still wasn’t fast or big or great at pass pro. I’m a huge Bama fan so yes I watched him in college. Again I’m not going to be overly critical now but he missed quite a few big holes and while the Browns D is good the numbers game was in our favor to run and he avg a little over 3 per carry. He need to step it up because he doesn’t look like the guy I watched in college.
Doesn’t help that a third rounder in Kareem Hunt set the league on fire in Reid’s system right before he got here. I think he will be fine but I don’t think he will ever live up to his draft slot. His biggest plus is his pass catching and route running which we don’t utilize much at all. He isn’t fast, big or very good at pass pro.
We will see if he can turn a corner. Missing gaping holes is a vision thing something that doesn’t change from college to the nfl. Generally you have good vision or not. I’ll give him this year before I get too critical though.
We don’t get picks if he goes to USC…..that is all.
I believe Eric Bienemy is a great motivator, but I don’t believe he is integral to this offense or team. Maybe a little harsh but I don’t see his long term value here.
I think Spags was more worried about their running the ball than blitzing Mayfield.
The Browns have top units on the line. Possibly top 3. I think did pretty well considering the Oline is new and we missed Gay, HB, and Clark. The Oline will get better and the D will too once those guys return.
I agree it was a quality win and I think this game was a way bigger deal for the Browns than us.
