  1. Oh, we see just fine. He is a 2nd round pick that couldn't beat out a 4th round pick or udfa for significant snaps last year. A majority of the yards you list come on designed plays because he cannot be a consistent force in the natural flow of the game. He has not developed like most of us had hoped and he is a liability in the return game. It doesn't help when his draft class has produced a number of highly productive wr's. I hope he develops but I think he turns out to be a very dangerous gadget player and not much more. I'll be glad to admit I'm wrong this year if he proves otherwise, but to throw up targets and yards and try and extrapolate that he is close to Hill, numbers-wise, is ridiculous. Hill is doubled and bracketed on every play. Hardman struggles to run crisp routes and get separation versus 1 defender. The Chiefs know this too otherwise we wouldn't have been in the market for JuJu Smith Schuster.
  2. I've been very pessimistic about Hardman but maybe this is the confidence boost the kid needs. Who knows I am holding out hope the kid can make me eat a whole pile of crow. I want him to be good but I just don't see the development so I'm gonna believe the reason is Andy's difficult scheme to pick up for young guys.
  3. Was this an official race? What am I missing?
  4. I'd hardly say we were bashing him over his interview. Pointing out he was short and sounded defensive is such harsh criticism. And not all of us who pointed this out believed he came in over weight and out of shape. I for one am excited about Niang and think he is going to be a stud....but by all means continue.
  5. Totally agree! I don't like that draft philosophy. Not that I don't like drafting physically gifted players but you can't keep doing that in the 2nd round. I loved Veach's draft this year. We got great value in the 2nd round. We drafted guys with pro bowl potential but they were both sold and safe picks. The floor is 10 year middle of the road vets. Kaindoh is the physical specimen that needs coaching up but he was a 4th rounder and a low one at that. That is a perfect spot. If he's a bust no one bats an eye. Hard not batting an eye when so many of our 2nd rounders haven't panned out. I would even throw Mecole in that conversation, but Mecole still has this year to prove me wrong and I hope he does. I get what you were saying and went back and reread your post and misunderstood you originally.
  6. He didn't appear nervous. He appeared uncomfortable with his own decision to opt out because he was scared. He didn't opt out for family or friends he opted out because he was scared and didn't know enough about the "disease". Look I don't care what his reasons are. I didn't bash him for opting out. He got healthy and we get him for 4 years. I just think if you make a decision own it and don't act so defensive/short about it. I didn't get the vibe anyone was trying to grill him about it they just wanted to know why he did it. Damien Williams did it for his mom. It's reasonable to think he might have done it for someone like that.
  7. I don't mind his decision at all as we get 4 years with this guy on a rookie deal along with Trey Smith and Creed which is going to be huge after we pay Brown. I did think his responses were short and defensive when they didn't need to be short or defensive. He had to have known he was going to be asked about it and should have put just a second worth of thought into an answer. One good answer on his part would have probably stopped the 3 follow up questions because he kept giving vague answers. But who cares at this point. He is here and I have high hopes for him!
  8. I know its just rookie camp but I think Gray is gonna be a huge bonus for this team. He looks smooth out there and will hopefully allow us to keep Kelce fresh. I agree this draft was the opposite of Veach's normal draft and I think it's a better strategy. If you gonna swing for the fences then do it in the 3rd -7th round. This draft has the potential to be an amazing draft.
  9. I wouldn't put Kpass in that category. He was a physical specimen and that was about it. His production in college wasn't all that great iirc. He just looked like a chiseled greek god and we reached 3 rounds for him. Even Speaks was just a normal reach...he was a massive tweener in college. Nothing about those two screamed buyer beware. Houston, Hill, Kelce and Mahomes all had legit talent but major issues that forced the fall. All those guys fell, with maybe Mahomes being the exception. Kpass and Speaks were just reaches. Win some and lose some! If I gotta take Kpass and Speaks to get Mahomes....so be it.
  10. Arrowhead pride guys went down and all three said he got pushed back by a weak DT class. Said by the end of the week he was doing better but was struggling to anchor and again the talent at IDL was not great....in fact this entire IDL class was pretty meh. With that said he has played in a high-powered offense before and he will be a huge upgrade over Reiter.
  11. Yeah Niang was a big dude before. I have no problems with it. Time will tell if its a problem.
  12. Lol, old habits Balto, old habits. To me they will probably always be the SD Chargers just like the Oakland Raiders.......
  13. The same defense that let Henne run for +10 yards on 3rd and long. The Browns didn't do much last year versus are garbage interior...what did they add to overcome our overhauling the interior with upgrades at every position? Browns are an ascending team but I would be more worried how y'all are gonna contend with them.
  14. Question for you guys. Will be in the States this year and want to hit up a game. Looking at the Sept 26 San Diego Chargers game and gonna take my 10 year old son for his first trip. Tickets are a little steep, at least for us, so my question is about the view in the upper decks. Looking as some tickets in section 344 row 6. That is on visitors side around the 30 yard line. It's been 15 years since I went to my last game and I sat closer to the field so how is the view from the upper deck.
  15. He will double Dawsons number after 183 games. He might pass Dawson by the time he plays 88. I think Mahomes is gonna have an historic year this year fellas. His line is gonna give him time and he is going to blow the "BEEP" up this year! I listened to it and apparently, Keyshawn didn't think we had what it took last year. Kind of surprised that he is picking us to win out during the reg season. The other guys are still basking in the SB debacle. I will those first 5 games are daunting.....but if we can get through those we will be battled hardened and ready!
  16. The longer the offseason lingers the cheaper Breeland will be unless he waits for an injury during the early part of the season....that's always risky though. I wouldn't mind bringing him back. Sneed, Ward, Baker, Fenton, Breeland, and Hughes vs Keyes. I imagine Veach is happy with Sneed, Ward, Baker, Fenton, Hughes, & Keyes. With a secondary coaching staff like ours I would be happy with those guys too.
  17. I found this pretty interesting xen. Top 4 spots are bad value picks in the first round according to their position (LB, S, OG, C). Which leads me to believe that guys getting picks from those 4 positions in the first mean there is a clear difference in their play and warrants the positional reach. QB did surprise me a little with just 5% making an all pro but I'm curious if you lowered the standard from All-Pro to at least one or two Pro Bowls what would the percentage be and then figure in all qb's drafted outside the first round. Not sure what the results would be but I would imagine you'd have better luck drafting one early than waiting....but maybe I'm way off.
  18. 20-0 fellas. Mahomes goes off this year with that Oline protecting him. Niang is a quick pupil at RT. Hill, Kelce, & CEH dominates. Mahomes cements himself after 4 years as one of the greats of all time. Could retire after this year and would be a first ballot hall of famer it is going to be so darn epic. If you're gonna drink the Kool-Aid.......drink it like a man! Go big or go the flip home! Feel free to save this message for after the SB win.
  19. ESPN hasn't been good since the 90's and early 2000's. How they choose their announcers is beyond me.....they typically suck. Sad really. As far as the MNF games go....I was a little shocked as well. But we got 5 primetime games and I imagine they could flex us a couple more as we attempt to go undefeated this year.
  20. It definitely is a balance game between protection and weapons. Go to far on either side and bad things happen. I think we've balanced it out perfectly. Brown is gonna want 20 million next year but next year our total Oline salary is going to be ~$40. 2018 - $34.4 million, 2019 - $26.5 million, & 2020 - $36.2 million. In line with the past couple years and has the potential to be a lot better. The glaring issue on this offense is developing a #2. Maybe Powell, Hardman, or Pringle can be that but I'm honestly not gonna hold my breath. I think next year's needs are DE, DB, and WR. This Oline has the potential to be nasty this year and get better in 2022. We also should have this oline for the next 4 years. About the time to pay Creed, Smith, Niang we can get out of Thuney and move some of that money around. Veach just extended our window by 4 years. Even with the need for a #2 WR we did just fine with a terrible Oline and no #2 for most of the year. We've added Gray & Powell and the others guys have another year to develop. Throw in a couple flyers in Callaway and Sharpe and we should be a decent bit better than last year. We are going to be scary this year boys! People thought we were last year.......watch Mahomes behind a dominant line!!!
  21. The more the merrier imo. It would be a long shot but I'm always down for adding talent and making guys prove it to make the roster.
  22. I think it was mentioned on early downs slide him out to DE. Jones, Reed, Nnadi, Clark is a very stout run front. Then kick him back inside on obvious pass downs. I for one don't want to see him outside. He's not athletic enough to make that switch offset his absence on the interior or fast enough. Sure he could bull rush some dudes back there but his ability in the interior is 2nd to only Donald. With Fisher's injury it kinda of threw a wrench in everyone's plans. If Fisher was still healthy I think DE would have been our first round draft choice. I still think we need one more proven commodity there.
