  1. Dude got held more than any player I've ever seen. No quit in him!
  2. DE looks like the scariest position group that still needs to be addressed. CB depth is concerning but I still think Breezy could be brought back again for around 3 million. Probably signing a DE like Ingram/Houston/Olivier and Breezy would use up most of the available FA money we have but I think that D could be top 10. Could always go after a #2 type WR but the reality is we did ok last year with this line up and a horrible Oline.......upgrading that Oline has to help plus another offseason for Hardman and Pringle getting more reps can't hurt. I think Trey Smith is the backup LG. Blythe is the backup center because Creed is a rookie and his versatility to play guard. I think both LDT and Long make the roster and while I think Trey Smith will the be the backup LG he will be in the competition for starting RG with LDT and Long. Remmers and Niang will be in competition for the RT spot. I think Andrew Wylie is the final selection. He does have a little versatility and Niang/Thuney could slide to LT in a pinch with Remmers at RT. I think Prince gets stashed another year on the PS and we look to trade Rankin and Allegretti to a team like the Bears or Eagles for a low round pick. I would love to see Antonio Callaway make this roster but I have a feeling Dave Toub will take the least upside WR for his ST group and that will be Marcus Kemp. Hope I'm wrong. LB's look decent with Hitchens, Gay, Bolton, Correa, Niemann and Harris. Again hope we could find a 1 year vet min to replace Niemann but that probably won't happen. Hope Gay never lets him see the field again. I hope this Oline gels and becomes dominant and we can see a pissed off Mahomes all year long!
  3. His 2018 numbers were pretty decent. You are right about last year. One thing I have a lot of confidence in is our secondary coaching staff. If there is potential there those guys can get it out of them. I'm all for churning the bottom. Watts had his chances and its time to move on.
  4. We needed depth. Before the draft we had 4 guys on the roster Harris, Hitchens, Gay, and Niemann. 2 of the four aren't great or even good. Also, Spags like all 3 of his LB's to be bigger. The idea of adding a quick small Will doesn't fit with his criteria.
  5. Just wait a week and Cowherd will be talking about about how much our offseason sucked.
  6. Seems crazy he could pass a physical after suffering an achilles tear just a few months ago.
  7. I think the pundits went with a more positive approach this year. Notice how you didn't get hardly any tragic traumatic stories this year. Mostly positive commentary during picks. Seemed like an intentional change.
  8. We have like 9 million in cap space I believe and we still have to renegotiate HB's contract which should free up at least 5-6 million more unless he backloads it which would free up more. He usually backloads those things so I would imagine it'll free up close to 10 million considering HB is scheduled to make 19 million this year. That gives us 19 million. Use 3 million for the rookie pool and that leave us 16 million. Option A: Trade for Julio Jones and make this offense insane. Option B: Sign Justin Houston (7million) and Breezy (3million) then sign a vet/cut player at S/WLB/WR - Fills two holes on D and adds some depth. Option C: Sign Justin Houston (7milllion) and a vet WR. Addresses biggest need at DE and adds another weapon.. Option D: Trade for Leighton Vander Esch to play WLB and Justin Houston and Breezy. Defense is pretty stout and weakest link is Dan Sorensen which I can live with. Option E: some combination of the 4
  9. I'd be willing to bet this is the case. His one hope is that a team with two good bookends loses one to a season ending injury before or during camp and is desperate to overpay a little for a band aid. Risky and I'm sure we aren't offering much.
  10. That clip is hilarious for everyone not a Eagles fan.
  11. Ingram is on the smaller side for a Spags DE. He would be a pass-rushing DE and Houston prides value in both areas plus I think he was always a better player than Ingram so he could be a better mentor to the younger guys along with Clark. But who knows, maybe he told Andy Reid that hamburgers were better than cheeseburgers when walking out the door and Andy just can't get over that heresy.
  12. Yikes! Who is the fist bumping or trying to fist bump dudes. And who is old grumpy pants at the end.
  13. Heard they wouldn't let Pederson lead, they kept micromanaging and forcing his hand. Then they hired Nick Sirianni. Where is that Michael Jackson popcorn meme when you need it. It aint gonna end well in Philly.
  14. With the way they dispatched the Oline this offseason I can't imagine Ben Niemann is safe even if he is Dave Toub's illegitimate man child.
  15. I don't know about the issue or drama between the two sides but it makes so much sense on so many levels to bring this guy in. He could finish strong here and get himself a ring. I like him a lot more than Melvin Ingram.
  16. Allegretti is gonna have a tough time making this team imo. He isn't playing center because no way are they putting another question mark behind a rookie at center. RG is LDT/Long and he is going to have to beat out Trey Smith for backup LG. Trey Smith has a chance to win the RG spot imo and worse case he's going to get every shot at backup LG. I think Veach tries to snag a 6th or 7th for him and Wylie.
  17. Yeah I think they have something in place. In all honesty its wise for both sides probably more so for the Chiefs. He he struggles you can always put him on the rights side and extend him, but if he dominates on the left side I don't have any problem with paying him top end LT money. We will have a rookie contract at C, RG, and RT which will easily offset LT and LG.
  18. He has played two full seasons since those issues. I think he will be in the running for RG this year and probably settle in to backup LG, with Thuney's versatility he might see the field if Thuney has to step out for Brown or Creed. I hope they view him as the RG of the future. Brown, Thuney, Creed, Smith, Niang forms a big and nasty Oline!
  19. We won't know until next draft but I wonder if he changed his strategy up a little. Hit some doubles at the front then take a couple swings at the end. If the swings don't work out you still have your doubles who can play and develop into the core of this team. Seems like early on he would swing on those early picks and reach. I think this draft has the potential to be elite for us and worse case a solid draft that filled important holes with capable players. If Trey Smith and/or Kaindoh pan out this draft could set us up beautifully for the future.
  20. I can't see them carrying more than 9-10 guys total. I think Prince could get stashed on the PS again, but if they like him that could be iffy. Durant too.
  21. Aren't those guys usually UDFA's though? Bobby Sippio, Jody Fortson, etc
  22. I actually think Trey Smith will be better for us because of the hole we will have at RG next year. I can't imagine Orlando Brown not being extended.
  23. No doubt him sliding will light a fire under him. That pick was like the cherry on the oline cake. Veach wasn't playing around this offseaon. He talked some of the previous guys up in the media and then took them behind the woodshed and did them dirty!
