  1. Who is Buffalo going after? Jayson Oweh or Joe Tryon. Imo
  2. Lol. Your QB's pissed and you draft a DB. Do you move up if your Veach for Jasyon Oweh if he last until the 30's?
  3. Creed Humphrey here with Linsley leaving? Of going Elijah Moore?
  4. Yikes, and we thought he would be there at 58. We were a whole round off.
  5. Teven Jenkins makes a ton of sense for them here. Tough, physical and nasty RT. Then gamble on 31 for Rashod Bateman. Tough though with the Saints and Packers behind you. Might reverse that order and go Bateman then Jenkins.
  6. That's what I think. They have to be estatic Darrisaw was still there.
  7. We would have gotten a really good player with how this draft has gone. I'm still glad we made the trade because there are going to be some studs there at 58.
  8. What is the deal with the Raiders. They have to appear smarter than everyone else but end up looking dumb. Alex might have been there mid 2nd. Same with Arnette last year.
  9. Going from his all pro oline to the Broncos and Raiders.......lol. Better be careful for what you wish for Aaron.
  10. You can be creative all you want at the end of the day you are going to be paying him upwards of 40 mil per year. We can keep pushing the money back on Mahomes till the cap is higher but we eventually have to pay him that money and it will be 10-15 times more than when he was on that rookie contract. That means pick two 1-2 of your best players and take them off the team. We are already at that spot and still a better overall team. Hard for me to see how Eric has done a better job than Veach considering we are already past the rookie contract.
  11. Until he has to throw in volume. That's always been our game plan in beating you and our defense isn't elite. I think LJ is super talented but he hasn't developed his passing game to the degree he needs to take the next step. I would be happy to have him as our QB if we didn't have Mahomes but his limitations are going to make it difficult when you have to pay him close to or over $40 million per year. I don't subscribe to the "he is a running back" claim. He is a good qb overall but he is good because his running ability opens up the passing game for him. I know he can be accurate passing deep but teams have to respect the run which gives him advantageous numbers on the back end.
  12. Forgetting Niang who will start at RT this year. Danna could start depending. Gay should start over Niemann this year.
  13. If I felt good about the medicals Phillips would be the only player I would give up next years first for but it would only be that 1st and our 4th this year. I would give up 58 and next years second for him. A little less for Oweh but close. I think Basham is there at 58 and is our pick. Nothing for Ossai.
  14. I do admit that Baltimore does a great job at drafting and is a well-run organization. Top notch. I also believe DeCosta is a great exec but his tenure will probably be defined by how he addressed the LJ contract. He is a conundrum. He is a talented guy and can win plenty of games, but he hasn't developed they way you would hope after 3 years. He will probably command a salary equal to or more than Mahomes' per year contract and the longer you wait the more it will be because of the TV contracts. That will limit your roster building ability and if you're already struggling to get to the top of the AFC now......how, unless LJ develops more, can they do it afterwards?
  15. Talk about this after he has to sign LJ to a long term contract. LJ will want more per year than Mahomes and I can't wait to see DeCosta put together roster that already can't figure out the Chiefs when he has to pay his QB a fortune. If they vote him ex of the year after that then we can talk. Oh and Veach has already done that and still put together a better roster.
  16. He also dealt with horrible contracts by Dorsey. Houston 100 million hardly played, Eric Berry 100 million hardly played and just got out of his contract this year!!!, LDT over paid for a below avg RG, Anthony Hitchens over paid for a middle of the pack MLB. We also locked up our qb already. That deal already looks team friendly and you will have to probably have to pay LJ more than Mahomes. Can't wait for y'all to have to navigate those waters. Next year we will get rid of LDT's and Hitchens contract. We can get out of Clarks next year and Jones in 2 years if need be. People talk about how we will have no flexibility but we literally have all the flexibility we need. We have locked down our best players, players that have gotten us to 2 straight SB. We have young guys developing behind them. Not saying there aren't other chessmasters out there but hard to criticize a guy who is responsible for 3 straight conference title games and 2 SB appearances.
  17. He is 32 Balto, and coming off an injury plagued year. He isn't elite anymore until he proves he's still elite. He was the best in the League but no team is giving up more than a 2nd rounder for him knowing Atlanta will have to cut him. Its a hard tough decision on Altanta's part but better to get something and alleviate more cap space than cut him and live with the dead cap hit. If I was Veach I'd offer him our 2022 3rd rounder and make it a conditional 2nder if he reaches certain stipulations such as Pro Bowl or 1000 yards and 10 TD's or something like that. If, and its a big if, he comes back elite no one will have a problem ponying up a 2nd for 2-3 years of very good wr play.
  18. I wouldn't sweat it Balto. Dude is 25 and will be 26 in October. Someone that raw will take at least 1-2 years to get acclimated before you get any sort of return. Not saying he isn't worth a flyer but he is considerably older than most rookies.
  19. If its a salary dump at Jones age I would think a 3rd in 2022 would get it done. We cannot trade our better picks for rentals though.
