  1. At first I was totally against it but I'm with you xen. If we can get out of the contract after two years and we can make the money work. Sign me up. Jones wouldn't have to be the number one but dang when he's right how would anyone stop us. Jones, Hill, Kelce, CEH then toss in Hardman for gadget plays.
  2. Maybe Kittle, but it would be better to have someone other than Nick Keizer attempting to replace him.
  3. PFF hates the trade for us. Mike Renner put out a video saying we were in cap hell with 8 guys over 14 mill a year when in reality we have 3 this year and then 6 counting Brown next year. They said we won't be able to field a team in 4 years because of our cap situation yet everyone of those contracts can be gotten out of except Thuny and Mahomes in two years. These guys are a joke. I think both teams got what they wanted. That in my book is a win for both teams. However, If your team values draft capital they only got a early to mid second for Brown and they helped out their biggest competition in the Chiefs by filling a major hole for a early/mid second round pick. So while your team is happy with it got for Brown it made our team vastly better now and in the future. Those picks may or may not pan out. Again I dont think it was some landslide win for either team but if we go back to the SB this year because our oline is vastly improved then your team lost regardless of who they drafted. Soon the Ravens will have to pay their QB a ridiculous amount of money or admit as talented as he is that he can't get the job done. Either way your team losses in that situation.
  4. I really hope TB makes it back to the SB this year so we can mash them and maybe end Brady's career on a terrible SB loss.
  5. I'm not one of those guys but Schwartz was pretty meh this year before he went out. Very pedestrian. Again I don't think Remmers was better but Schwartz was a shell of himself from the get go this year.
  6. I don't want Nick Bolton at all but Anthony Schwartz is a great guy to replace Hill if he gets injured....not to say he can replace his production but his speed and quickness can stretch defenses. I really hope Dayo slides because he is a round 2 talent for sure if not for that injury late last year. That also gives us two potential DEs in case Frank Clark can't get back on track.
  7. At some point we have to develop a #2 even after Hill is gone we need more young guys at WR. Whatever the Steelers are doing to develop theirs we need to mimic that. 2-4th round guys that we develop. Now is the best time to do it because we have elite options at WR and TE but Kelce is already over 30. He isn't going to be elite forever and Hill is gonna want to get paid. He got forced into that last deal because of a lie and I have no doubt he will not take a team friendly deal this go around.
  8. If we were going to do this why not offer Juju Shuster 2 years 26 million? or 3 and 40? I love Julio and if it was for a one year deal I would definitely be own but not for 3...Hard Pass!
  9. True but our luck with 2nd round centers has been pretty impressive. Hudson and Morse and both are light years better than Blythe. Landon Dickerson and Quinn Meinerz probably would be and definitely will be by year two. I think you get the whole thing revamped this year and be done with the oline for a while.
  10. We have a chance to lock down this line for 4-5 years and in a cost-effective way with a rookie OC, multiple cheap RG options (Durant, Allegretti, Wylie), and Niang. Like you said there are some luxury picks needed but get the offense back on schedule and the defense is going to be as good if not better with Thornhill healed up, Taco back, Reed coming in and another offseason for Sneed and Gay.
  11. You would think so but Andy can't get out of his own way. I saw a stat that when CEH rushed more than 12 times (12 freaking times!!!) we were undefeated and our margin of victory was sizably bigger. CEH had some success in the SB but there were entire posessesions that we never handed it off. Finally, I'm beyond tired of hearing the TB Bucs run their mouth. They were gifted the biggest handicap possibly in SB history with our Oline, Andy Reid's son being a idiot and having the SB in TB. There is no blueprint how to beat us because unless a catastrophe happens we will never have that poor of an oline in front of Mahomes ever again. I hope TB and the rest of the NFL enjoys this because we are about to see a full season of petty Mahomes and I hope Andy grows a nut sack and decides to run the ball down peoples throats and run the score up. It's time we instill the fear of God in all 31 teams this year.
  12. I think he's just as good as Reiter and Mahomes will make some numbers look better than Goff. However, not sure why Veach would offer up that tidbit about Thuney. It would lead people to think we were going to draft a center which would be tipping the hat, and that is not something he does so if he feels comfortable with Blythe why did he bring it up about Thuney? I still maintain the three most important positions are WR, DE, OC then the next tier is OLB, S, TE, & MLB. Again we lost the SB because we didn't have another wr to step up, we couldn't block for Mahomes and we couldn't generate pressure with 4 guys.
  13. Lol no! He tested like trash and was very unathletic. Jamin Davis - coverage guy...one of the few who kept up with Kyle Pitts Jabril Cox - another atheltic do it all Pete Werner - MLB/SLB
  14. Aboslutely. I kid about wanting Wylie but I really don't have an issue with him being depth, but I have doubts about his ability to all of a sudden flip the switch. He's gotten plenty of action in two full seasons and he looks the same and gets beat the same as he did when he first started playing. He is LDT 2.0. The coaches fell in love with the guy then overpaid him and he never played better than an avg player.
  15. I just have a feeling Kyle Long is going to show out this year. And I pray Niang can beat out Remmers.
  16. Maybe we are in the work with Larry Warford to play LG for us and slide Thuney over to Center.
  17. Look it makes me sick to type it but Andy and Veach slobber over the guy every chance they get......I'm stuck between a rock and hard place here man! Look I'll give you my list of guys I would love to see cut this offseason 1. Ben Niemann 2. Andrew Wylie 3. Ben Niemann 4. Ben Niemann 5. Andrew Wylie
  18. Yeah I don't necessarily subscribe to Jimmy Johnsons chart but generally speaking it would take 2 firsts at least to move up from 31 to 16. Just look at the trades to move up into the top 5 from 7 spots back. I just think the newer charts regardless of what they value aren't realistic just like Jimmy's isn't realistic. I actually think we gave up close to a first round pick which I think is fair!
  19. I agree but he was better than Wylie. I'll take any improvement. What I would love to see is Long take the spot and Durant request to move in to guard and be the swing guard.
  20. If Long beats out LDT which I think he will. The entire line is around 11 million.
  21. I don't think Veach wanted another SB situation so he signed Remmers in the hopes that Niang would beat him out but in the event didn't he would have a viable avg RT. This year he played well on the right side. He wasn't great but he will have better guard play next to him if he has to start and if Remmers at RT is our weakest link we should be fine. I think Niang can beat him out and develop into a stud RT but time will tell. Plus Remmers is super versatile, and 3 million is not what I would call a decent sum.
