  1. Absolutely agree but Andy will never do that. It's sad actually. Great coach but gets in his own way too often.
  2. Question: Does Mahomes scramble because Mahomes loves to scramble or does Mahomes scramble because our craptastic Oline forces him to scramble. I'd say the latter is mainly to blame. I do agree he might not be a great fit and if he isn't so be it, but the idea that some of these OT's in the back end of the first with short arms are going to be drastically better is a little crazy.
  3. No we wouldn't but your taking a risk that he isn't a bust and I'm merely pointing out Orlando Brown is a known commodity. I'm fine with drafting a first -ound OT but some people here think sitting behind a LT for half a season will all of a sudden get him game read for the playoffs. If that is our only option then it is what it is. Orlando Brown might not be a good fit and if he isn't I'm ok not trading for him but we lost a SB because our LT got hurt and our backup wasn't very good. I think Orlando Brown is a good option and if the cost isn't too high I'd be down for trading for him.
  4. It sure would be fun. CJ, Reed, Richardson, Clark Pretty stout DL with some pocket collapsing ability.
  5. I agree if he's asking 20 plus but if he takes 18 million per year that's not huge. We were going to pay Fisher 16....an above avg LT but nothing amazing. I do agree that paying him elite money should be a deal-breaker. At the end of the day, I think Veach called to inquire and the Ravens will use the Chiefs like every other FA/Team to drive up the price. Which I'm fine with. If we can't have him force the other team to pay more.
  6. Brown would be extended but his cap hit this year would only be 3.3 million. Next year Hitchens and LDT comes off the books. I understand y'alls position and I agree to a certain point. However, we draft a bust at 31 who plays LT this year? Okung? Ok what if he gets hurt 8 games in? We will find ourselves pissing away another SB opportunity because we couldn't address one of the most important positions on the field. Essentially the only rough year could be next year if we keep Frank for 2022 but after that Frank can be cut. So not sure how this puts us in cap hell. We lost a SB because our Oline couldn't protect Mahomes and give him time. If we want to see a dynasty we are going to have to pony up for premier positions. Eric Fisher was a good LT but he was going to make 16 million this year, and he wasn't amazing. Also if done correctly we have a cost controlled RT for the next 4 years or for the duration of Browns extension. Thuney is expensive but we have the chance to draft a center and develop another guard on the cheap which would mitigate those two bigger contracts. Sign Ingram, Houston or Olivier. Trade for Brown. Draft a center or wr at 63 Draft the other at 94. Go win a SB.
  7. I think we've all assumed the Chiefs would at least reach out to the Ravens about Brown. Again don't know the validity of the source but looks like a 1st and another pick or a player. So my question is would you trade our 31st pick and our 4th rounder for Brown? I think I would definitely make that trade. 2021 his cap hit would be 3.3 million and an extension wouldn't affect the cap until 2022. I don't know if I would do it for our 1st and 3rd but I would think about it. My only concern would be his agility and ability when Mahomes drops back deep but I think he would be considerably better than anyone we could get at 31 or even 20 for that matter.
  8. His workout videos seemed to show him on the right side. Hard for me to believe he would be working on that side if the Chiefs told him he was in the running for LT.
  9. Absolutely agree. The only reason I was thinking we pass on OT in the first is if a guy like Oweh or Phillips is sitting there at 31. Would be hard for me to pass up a higher floor/ceiling guy than draft a 50/50 guy to play LT. Has to be addressed in the first or second unless Veach has something up his sleeve. May a 2022 1st and this year's 3rd for Orlando Brown or something.
  10. He's a feel-good story but doubtful to even make the 53. Best chance is at TE though.
  11. But watch, Veach will probably mortgage the farm to move up to 20 so he can draft Liam Eichenburg or Jalen Mayfield or Stone Forsythe lol.
  12. If we had to use 63 and 95 to get the OT/DE we want in the 2nd I would be all for it. Solidifying those two positions should be our #1 priority. Like you said though might only take that 4th. Walker Little, Spencer Brown, and Stone Forsythe are three guys I would love at the middle to end of the 2nd. Then in your scenario go get a OC in the 3rd.
  13. Forgetting Jenkins and Little. I have a hard time seeing 14-15 OT get taken in the first two. This draft is deep at DE and WR and we are going to see 5-6 qb's taken in the first. And those teams drafting OT in the first aren't going to be going back to the well in round two for another. There is going to be some good prospects in the 2nd. I think because its a huge need for us we worry that all teams see these guys the same way.
  14. Yeah just read that today. Was hoping for a better report. Hate it for the little girl. Hope she has a miraculous recovery! As for Reid, hope he gets the max.
  15. OT, DE, followed by WR. Tackle because its our biggest need but it's how the board falls. If Oweh or Phillips fall to us at 31 then I would make a strong case you take them and then trade 2nd and 3rd to move back up in the 2nd for a OT prospect. Guys like Little and Brown have a lot of upside but one is a little raw and the other is an unknown because of little playing time. Stone Forysthe is another guy more likely in that late 2nd range. I like those guys better than the Mayfield, Eichenburg, and Radunz. I just think the difference in a guy at 31 and 63 isn't going to be that much difference unless a guy like Darrisaw or Jenkins slip to the mid 20's then maybe you think about moving up to grab them but are we even sure Jenkins can play LT?
  16. I agree. I just think if your gonna draft him that high to move inside it has to be center because we have a log jam at OG, and I think I'd prefer Landon Dickerson at OC than Radunz at that spot. I do think that is a possibility with Fisher, but we aren't in a rush to sign anyone. We have most of the leverage at this point with guys like Okung and Villanueva, plus if 6-7 tackles get drafted this year there will most likely be a couple more in the FA pool this summer. It would be nice to have it addressed to some degree going into the draft so we don't have to take one first two rounds.
  17. I'm not as high on Radunz but there are some scouts who see him at C, which would mitigate the risk. I too would love to double dip just to be safe.
  18. Yeah that RAS score was insane. If we nab a vet and let him come along slowly he probably has the highest ceiling outside of maybe Sewell and Slater. I'm not high on Radunz.
  19. Heard somewhere that Radunz is seen as a OC by a lot of NFL Scouts. I'd rather take Spencer Brown, Walker Little, and even Stone Forsythe with that first pick. I do think Basham at 63 is good value and I like rounds 3 and 4.
  20. I don't get local news, what is the most current update on the little girl? I thought I read somewhere she was doing better. Usually bad news from the victims legal team makes it better for the civil case. I hope she is doing better and at the same time hope Reid does the max this crime allows for.
  21. Really sucks his back gave out on him.....such a great guy and an all-time underrated player in the NFL!
  22. While I think Oline is far more important than wr at this point, I do think we need a guy that can get 1000 / 10 at that #2 spot. Watkins was that kind of talent in 2019 when healthy but didn't look great even when he did play last year. Plus I think those WR's like Mitchell and Bateman are harder to find later in the draft...even though there are a lot of good wr prospects in this draft. I kinda think it might be Mitchell then Forsythe or Little (That's not my hope but I could absolutely see them going WR in 1 and OT in 2.)
