  1. I read an article that said Thuney really helped the tackles next to him which bodes well with us if we end up with a rookie out there. Id temper Prince hope, because we were going to offer 33 year old Trent Williams over 20 million a year for 3 years. And we’ve been linked to Okung. They might like him as a developmental prospect which seems more likely.
  2. Slater, Tucker, Mayfield (Testing was down right horrid for a guy supposedly athletic), Christenson, and Carman have under 33" arms. Again its not the end all be all of Left tackles but when all a huge majority of good/great LT's have over 33" arms it matters. Leatherwood isn't an elite tackle prospect. Little hasn't played in a long time and Radunz is super raw. Cosmi might be the highest upside which means others teams might snag him because of the issues I mentioned earlier. There will be tons of choices at 31 no doubt but we need an above avg starter there not a guy we eventually have to slide into guard. To be honest I think Niang is just as talented as any of the second tier OT's after those first three guys which is somewhat comforting.
  3. This tackle draft class is shaping up like our off-season. Started off lit and then fizzled hardcore. Most of this draft class has Trex arms and don’t make the 33” threshold many believe a tackle needs to have. Meaning the chances a good tackle falls into our lap at 31 is shrinking fast.
  4. I don’t understand the hate or people thinking that Pringle is as good or can be better. Pringle will never hold a candle to Watkins talent. Pringle can probably be more available but that’s it. Veach massively overpaid and we got terrible value for him but we won a SB in part to his contributions that run. So it is what it is, I wish we could have seen what a full season of healthy Sammy looked like but we have to start developing our own guys like the Steelers do.
  5. 1. Lawrence 2. Wilson 3. San Fran - Fields/Jones/Lance - there is no other position that warrants moving up in this draft to get other than QB.....they resigned Williams so Sewell is off the board. 4. Falcons - 5. Bengals - 6. Dolphins - No guarantee Pitts drops to them but there is a good chance he does. Still is Pitts worth two firsts?
  6. We also haven't talked a lot about Callaway but he is probably more talented than all three of those guys. Just hasn't been able to get his head on straight. Good lottery ticket candidate though and I like hedging our bets. We need another WR but if the draft falls a different way we won't be desperate to have one and I imagine we will see some decent cuts after the draft to fill it if we haven't already.
  7. I don't like how much say Toub gets because I don't think we've gotten a good product on ST for a couple years, but DRob is a good ST player and a fine #3/#4 wr. At that price that is called a shrewd business move by the Chiefs.
  8. I appreciate him during the winning SB run. Hate it ended like it did but he was worth it, but resigning him would have been a mistake.
  9. Commodities my friend lol. A garage full of Jack and Marlboros.
  10. The Dolphins would have had 2 first-round picks the following two years but moved back up to 6 and gave up 12 this year and a first next year. Curious to whom they want at 6? Not sure the move up was necessary unless you wanted Sewell or Chase and both might still be gone. If they weren't sold on Tua they were in perfect spot at #3 so they must feel good with Tua. Gonna be a fun next couple of weeks. We should have a pick of a solid LT/WR/DE with all these qb's that are gonna fly off the board. Watch us sell the farm to move up for K Toney lol.
  11. Multiple years helps us out this year if we want to backload the contract but how much do we want to backload especially if we are expecting the drafted LT to start. Would still rather overpay a little for one year and be done with it. All these restructures push money back and eventually it will catch up. No matter how large those TV contracts are players will consume larger %'s of the cap and it will hurt the teams that pushed more money to the end of the cap.
  12. As our #4 wr who could slide into #2/#3 in a pinch. Can't have a wr corp made up of high potential guys, gotta have some lunch pail types. Hill, _____, Hardman, Drob, Pringle, Callaway/Developmental player. Truth is Callaway has the talent and a chance to be that fringle #2 solid #3. Also at the price you can cut him if someone out performs him in camp. Love it.
  13. If we had to go into next year with the current wr corp we could win a SB with that cast. Hill, Kelce, Hardman, Robinson, Pringle, Callaway.
  14. It's not talked about enough but guys like Okung probably don't want a stopgap year. He just saw Trent Williams get a huge contract at 33 years old. Okung is looking for probably his last big payday so he's hoping for more years. Which normally would be fine. As a player of his level of talent is sufficient for us to make the SB but it is his injury history that makes this challenging. Obviously, there is pressure on him to sign too, but after missing out on Trent we look like the more desperate side. Get him in and lets draft a developmental LT in the first 2 rounds. I like the idea of drafting DE and then moving back up with our 2nd and 3rd and getting that LT in the 40's then grabbing David Moore for OC in the 4th.
  15. Saw somewhere that it could top out at 300k per........😳
  16. Superbowl!!! No in all seriousness it was a great signing. League minimum deal for a wr that knows our system and is a good blocker. We in essence have the same wr corp coming back considering Watkins didn't help us at all down the stretch. We obviously still need to add a #2 or potential #2 but his numbers are identical to Josh Reynolds numbers than many were crying about and we would have had to pay 3-4 times as much for.
  17. I heard Orlando Brown struggles to move and against deep drops. Mahomes goes deep a lot which could be a huge problem. Also I'd rather not use two big stones to hit one bird. Draft your future LT at 31 or move back up in the 2nd to get him. Use your FA money to be shrewd in FA. We just signed DRob for 1 million. He's a perfect #3-#4 wr and he knows our system. Basically our wr corp is back from last year since Watkins couldn't stay healthy and we are still trying to fill that #2 spot. Jarran Reed is about to be cut....there will be good players cut in the coming weeks that fit our needs and eventually money will dry up so we can fill some holes before the draft. I will be extremely upset if we sign Reiter back to a contract for more than 3-4 million annually. I'm afraid we will though.
  18. This gives us 3 sufficient boundary guys and 1 stud in Sneed. Keyes could make a jump as well as could Baker. Takes that need off the board for the draft. Would make DE, S, Coverage Backer, then eventual MLB as the biggest needs on D.
  19. Players are using KC to bump their price in this limited market. If I was Veach I would call SF and tell them you offer them what you want, because the moment he walked out our door we rescinded the deal. Trent did the same thing and so did Juju Smith Shuster. Again not that I will miss any sleep over K'Waun Williams but I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of players regretting not coming over here when their teams suck and we are knocking on our third straight SB in a rebuilding year.
