  1. Did we not demolish this team in week 12 with an avg line. If Mahomes had time last night we would have done the same. Fix the line and we will be back next year. Simple as that. Massage the cap do what you got to do.
  2. Sorry fellas meant Trent Williams from the 49ers as a one year stopgap, thought there was rumors of him being cut. Reality is there will be some quality OL available because of the reduced cap. I'd imagine there are a few who would take a good bit less to play for a championship.
  3. I was thinking to bring him back as depth. He's not great but he knows the system.
  4. We need to invest a top 100 pick in the DE position. Ward is a nice story but I don't think you can bank on him being the kind of player we need opposite Frank. We need a 10 sack potential guy there. It scares me a little if Taco and Ward are leaned upon to be the answer.
  5. Bro if someone offers us a first-rounder I'd take it. I'd probably take a 2nd rounder this year for him. I say this because if we have no intent on using him correctly then its a wasted player on this roster. I like CEH and think he needs to be used more, if they don't have plans for him like that then yes we should trade him.
  6. How Williams dropped this pass is a head scratcher. No one was one him and it hit him in the face. You have to make that catch. I know we don't win but you have to help out your qb. That throw imo was one of the greatest throws in NFL history. Like y'all said Mahomes did everything he could and no one helped him out yet this game will be remembered as Mahomes failed and played terrible. Sad really.
  7. What made it worst was Hardman was scripted in like 2-3 times in the first 15 plays and he looked clueless and lost out there. Dude is a gadget player at best. He has regressed as a wr and a returner. He's only good for end arounds....smh.
  8. I think the game plan and the routes being run took too long to develop. I think we threw one slant all game? How is it some teams can live on that crap but we can't figure it out with a talent like Mahomes back there. We weren't even running those concepts. There large areas of field open last night where Hill and Kelce cleared out but no route to fill that void? Mahomes was pressured more than any other qb in sb history. 50% pressure rate. Dude ran 500 yards before throwing. Hit Hill in the facemask for a TD drop, Williams the same (and he was wide open) and Kelce on that huge 3rd down that would have been a conversion.
  9. I said it leading up to the SB. Why shuffle the entire OL around. Plug Rankin at LT. The rest of the OL stays the same and has some continuity. You can help/protect Rankin. Last night everyone was mixed up and out of sorts. Mahomes alluded to it.
  10. The more I think about the more I'm ready to scrap the entire OL. Allegretti can be depth but that is it. Draft a first round LT. Prince Wanogho, Niang and that LT can fight it out for the tackle spots. Bring in Morse or Kelce on a one year deal for some veteran presence on the OL that calls out blitzs and assignments. Draft a big LG in the 3rd. Let Allegretti, Rankin and LDT fight for the RG spot. Wylie, Remmers, Reiter are all garbage as starting OL. Rip the band aid off and lets build a brick wall up front. Dare teams to go two deep safeties. We will run it down their throat and play-action them to death.
  11. Truth is we weren't ready to play. We prepared for two weeks wrong and then couldn't make adjustments on the fly. Trying to force Hardman the ball in the scripted plays was bad and then we couldn't catch the ball to start the game. Still..... One offsides and one dumb timeout on 3rd and 2 changed the score from 10-6 at half to 21-6. The refs did suck but we were still in the game and they would have gotten the ball back in the 3rd 10-9 after kicked the fg. Lets say they score a TD like they did. 17-9 We go back down and kick the fg insted of forcing an int I think so its 17-12. We would have still been in the game until the end. Refs screwed us for sure but when you are undisciplined everything is compounded. Jones shoving a guy.......knowing they were going to bait him. Hardman lining up offside. Hill dropping a catchable TD pass. Kelce dropping a key 3rd down reception. Williams dropping probably one of the greatest throws in NFL history that hit him right in the facemask. Andy calling a TO. Mahomes can make up a lot of crap but everyone on his team let him down big time. Everyone but Mahomes should be ashamed of their play and ironically Mahomes will take the brunt of the criticism and the narrative will be he failed......smh.
  12. I don't think they won't make it back next year. They went all in this year. Like literally all in. Godwin gonna take pennies on the dollar after he won one? Antonio Brown? Fournette? Gronk? Barrett? David? Suh? Haeg? Stinnie? With all those guys and with our OL made up of journeyman and guys off the street we were an offsides and an idiotic TO from being 10-6 going into half. That has nothing to do with the horrid refs. 10 Freaking 6. 10-9 after our first drive after half. Let me reiterate. They have one of the best front 7's in the NFL. We had an historically bad OL and it could have been 10-9 in the 3rd quarter. Not counting dropped TD passes, bad ref calls, or bad oline play. 10-9 after our first 3rd quarter possession changes the entire 2nd half....instead it was 21-9. We have work to do in the offseason but there is a clear path to make this O better than anything we've ever seen yet and the same for the D. Draft or sign a FA LT, LG, & C, LDT/Rankin/Allegretti fight for RG/depth Niang - RT Draft a WR and sign a FA looking for a ring. Draft a DE with some pass-rush ability Bring back Breeland for cheap and Ward too. Gay and Sneed take a step forward. Get Nieman and Sorensen off the field. Our O is better and our D is better than this year.
  13. Thanks......writing on this board is cathartic for me after such an abysmal loss. Thankfully this draft is deep on OL and WR's which is huge for us. The top 3 positions I think we must address is 1. 3-4 OL positions - I put OL first because it opens up the running game so even with the lack of overall wr talent we have it adds another wrinkle to our O, plus it protects Mahomes. 2. DE - Pressure is what wins on D in this league. Tampa's LB's are great but without that pass rush Mahomes carves those boys up like every other good set of backers. 3. WR - Hardman is gadget player and that is it. It stings that we buried a 2nd on him but dang that dude was disappointing this year. Secondary positions S - Get Sorensen off the field LB - Need another coverage backer to take Nieman's spot TE2 - Gonna need to start developing someone with talent sooner than later.
  14. I'd rather have Trent Brown if he's willing to take a little less to get a ring. Cam is really not good and its not uncommon for players to do this coming out of Bama. Its like Saban gets the best out of most of them and there is a thought they have another gear/level but often times they have already peaked. I think Cam is one of those.
  15. I want to blame the refs because that int was a game changer but........please hear me out. If Hardman pulls his head out and doesn't line offsides the Bucs have the ball with under 1 minutes and the full length of the field to go up.....10-6. If Andy doesn't call a TO there it is literally 10-6 at half. Even if we don't score a TD after half but kick a fg like we did it is 10-9. The rest of the game would have been a dog fight but one TD would have made the difference. One Hill td catch in the first half that hits his helmet, one drive extending catch by Kelce in the first half, one Williams TD catch that hit him in the hands would've and could've made the difference....regardless of the refs and regardless of the horrid oline play. It's the little things that add up in a hurry. This was a winnable game. Hardman and Reid's decisions are far more egregious than the first half refs.
  16. I know we don't want to think this played a part but I know it had to for Andy. You've lost one son and now this one is probably going to prison and possibly for a really long time. Andy pulled an Andy coached like a jv coach. That TO at the end of the half was the straw that broke the camel's back. 14-6 is doable. 21-6 felt insurmountable with our Oline.
  17. I know we need better linebackers but we lost because our front 4 didn't generate pressure and their front 4 allowed them to play 7 guys in coverage. We lost because Hardman lined up offsides on a fg and Andy Reid called TO before half. Score should have been 10-6 at half. Nieman should be upgraded but that isn't hard to do. Hitchens sucks too but he's to expensive to cut so we have him one more year. Gay should help tremendously. What this team needs is a DE who can generate pressure. Frank is an all around DE but he's not a pass rusher specialist. Gotta have another one DE.
  18. Except for dropping a td pass that hit his face mask with no one really near him. I thought CEH played well last night. My issue with CEH is they wasted the pick because they refuse to utilize him. Maybe Patrick Mahomes doesn't want to be forced into that style of game but that gameplan last night was hot garbage. Mahomes made the comment that the Bucs took away the deep ball.........um duh........and Hills said they prepared for man coverage. It was like we weren't prepared for anything.
  19. No way is Fisher returning by camp. That was someone tweeting that but most doctors and most recovery times for an achilles tear is 10-11 months and thats normal not a 300 lb 6-6 human being that has immense pressure put on it almost a 100 times a game. It'll be Oct-Nov.
  20. I think the Oline is more important. I think the D did enough tonight. Harding fighting against the refs the entire first half. But a pass rushing DE opposite Clark is a must.
  21. Andy Reid didn't help anyone out tonight either. Once again deep developing route concepts and very little slants and short concepts. I think Britt was more on his mind that he would ever admit. If that girl dies he's gone to prison for a good long while. How can it not affect you as a father. Don't even get me started on the TO before half. That alone probably sealed the deal.
  22. Another concerning thing I noticed and was talking to my cousin about. Patrick Mahomes demeanor tonight. It wasn't like last year it was almost like he knew. Maybe the toe was killing him. Maybe the game plan was so bad there wasn't much he could do but why didn't we throw slants, quick outs, running backs in the passing game. CEH made some dudes miss. Again seems like it goes back to Reid and EB and that craptastic game plan.
  23. I've had a chance to step back off the ledge. Here are my thoughts. D came out and looked great. Gave our O two possessions to jump out on top. The refs on the Bucs 2nd TD sucked the life out of our D. Gave them 3 fresh downs. 1. Jones shove (seriously I saw 4 far more egregious shoves after the whistle but this one gets flagged) 2. The called back int on a very ticky tack PI on Ward that Evans pushed off on. 3. The offsides on ST. Hardman is nothing more than a gadget player and his play has become a liability as a wr and returner. The personal foul on HB was laughable and if you watch from the start Brady is at the goal-line in the middle talking before HB points his finger in his face. Finally the HB penalty in the endzone where Brady throws an uncatchable ball and they bail out Evans again. I'm not even counting the Evans foot trips Breeland to set that up because..... Andy Reid called one of the worst games of his career. Not sure if Britt was on his mind but the dude let the whole organization down. That TO before half with 49 some odd seconds was the stupidest TO ever. Even if we stop them we get the ball back with less than 30 seconds and our O was in shambles. This game should have been 7-6 at half or at worst 10-6 instead of 21-6. That means at one point in the 4th this game could have been 20-12. Dave Toub should not be allowed to have personnel say over the bottom of the roster. That should be for wr/rb/ol development for mahomes. Toub's punter wasn't ready, Hardman is a liability and cost this team 4 easy points because he pulled a Dee Ford. Finally the Oline isn't just bad imo I've never seen a worse Oline ever. Mahomes was pressure more than any other qb in SB history and Brady was pressured 4 times. 40 million on that dline for 4 pressures. Embarrassing lose but sometimes those kind of loses will drive this team to be better. I hope this is the evolution of Mahomes. Dude needs to have a fire in his belly. His teamates let him down. Hill, Kelce, Hardman, Watkins, Andy, EB, and the Oline all owe him an apology....... Final say.... We will be back. This team will be better next year.
