  1. I believe part of the problem is our refusal to change our game plan. We will change to short quick pass routes occasionally and it works only to revert back to intermediate and deep routes which causes Mahomes to rush and force passes. He hasn't looked like a MVP QB lately. Not to say he looks like a bum. I don't believe he trusts this line at all and some of his decisions haven't been great lately. But we have won all those games and I am not worried because the moment we get down he orchestrates a scoring drive which means he has the ability to overcome those worries/concerns. I like Andy and Pat having 2-3 weeks to work out the kinks and for this Oline to get some rest and get better. With all this said give me Mahomes and a bad oline and I'll take my chances any day.
  2. He also seems like a loyal guy and if he believes he is a coach and offseason away he might stick around. Gotta believe Obrien selling the farm to be mediocre though hinders those thoughts. He's a hero in Houston and chasing a ring seems beneath him, but I would love him on this team. While he's not the same guy as he used to be, no way would you be able to double all three guys. And if we could draft a DE that has some bend and speed our D could get to top 5 in a hurry.
  3. Yeah saw Linderbaum actually rated mid rounds but I know those rankings are very subjective. Changed the pick to the Geogia center who lacks mobility but is a big man.
  4. What would Watt take though? Would love seeing him play opposite Clark and next to CJ but what can we afford? 1/10m? Does he have enough in the tank because that would be our one mid level FA signing.
  5. Offseason solution to fix our problems. Preface this plan, Landon Dickerson got hurt and probably won't be 2021 ready and we can't afford to wait for any more guys on injuries. I am a Bama fan and while I like Landon I'm not sure he's a future All-pro. Eric Fisher will be our LT next year because we will be changing so many other positions there will need to be someone familiar. He's not the greatest but when he has a good LG next to him he is pretty good. Mitchell Schwartz is done and will be cut this offseason if he doesn't retire. I would like to replace C, LG, RT this offseason and allow Rankins and LDT fight over the RT spot. I would like to retain Wylie for a backup interior OL along with Allegretti. I am penciling Niang in at RT next year. Assuming EB gets a HC gig we will have 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, & 5 picks in the draft. 1. Trade a 5th for Jason Kelce. He would be an upgrade over what we got and would be a stabilizing veteran for the other rookies on the OL. His 7 million cap is doable and would reunite him with Travis and Andy. A post 6/1 trade saves the Eagles 5.5 million and they have Ross P in the wings to take over. Draft. 1. Alex Leatherwood - LG - Is a mauler and is versatile across the line and could slide over to RT if Niang can't produce. or Trey Smith - IOL Tennessee - Less versatile but potential Nelson-esque type guard. 2. Joe Tyron - DE - Huge need for this D. Gay and Sneed helps fill out the LB Corp because Hitchens is definitely coming back for one more year and Sneed, Ward, and Baker form a reasonable trio to build around. Thornhill will be a year removed from injury and should return to form and the front 4 just needs a rusher opposite of Clark. 3. Myron Cunningham - OT - Potential future LT with good coaching and sitting out a year, but will be our swing tackle for 2021. 3. Tylan Wallace - WR - OSU - Sammy's replacement 4. Trey Hill - Developmental OC/OG 4. Peyton Hendershot- TE - Indiana - Finally a versatile talented backup for Kelce 5. Traded to Eagles for Kelce 5. LB/S Starting 2021 offensive line Fisher, Leatherwood, Kelce, Rankins, Niang Backups - Cunningham, Wylie, LDT, Alec Lindstrom This also allows the team to go out and sign a veteran wr to a one year prove it deal or a talented guy looking to revive his career like Corey Davis. Defense will be about the same but with rookies developing with a full offseason workout. With the cap situation we will have our pick of one year guys looking to prove something before the cap goes back up. Getting that Oline fixed for 2021 and pieces in place to get Fisher's contract off the books in 2022 is a big win win for this team. Tyreek will need to be paid after 2021 and Fisher's 15 plus million needs to be gone. Also we will have to make a big decision about HB. I think we let him play out his contract next year even at 19 million. He still is a great player but his ability to play the slot this year is gone and it has to make you wonder if extending him 3 more year would be a big mistake. But that is a problem for 2021-2022.
  6. Interesting article, nothing mentioned of our All Pro RT out for the season, 6th round pick at LG and undrafted FA at RG. And our center got benched earlier in the year and is also a jag. Are there things to be concerned about? Sure. But does anyone think we are squeeking by teams if Osemele and Schwartz weren't lost? I just get sick of reading articles that act like we are the model of health and we are just losing to these teams with a full squad because we aren't that good.
  7. That offense is pretty good and imagine if they had Julio Jones.
  8. That won’t be cheap either. We got a discount with all the faux off field drama 3 years ago that helped.
  9. I agree. I just didn’t think today was a great or even good performance by his standards. Without him we definitely don’t win today and while he might not win the MVP he’s still the best in the L.
  10. It counted when it was 7-7 on our 5 yard line. No bashing Mahomes but his performance today versus one of the worst passing Ds in the L was not an mvp performance. It was terrible but just not good in Mahomes terms.
  11. We don’t run slants so he would be useless.
  12. I know we need another DE, LB and probably S/DB but I honestly think our D can be just as good if not a little better just by our younger guys seeing the field more which means we need to draft plug and play ready OL and maybe even find a interior fatty as a FA maybe a Larry Warford. I wouldn't mind Wylie and Allegretti as backups but they cannot be starters from the get go.
  13. Offense needs to pull out the Alex Smith play book and dust it off. Our Oline isn't good enough to run deep every play. Take what they give us and get 5-6 yards a catch and matriculate down the field. Kilgore needs to be the starter from here on out but that won't happen. I've seen enough of Wylie and Allegretti to only want them as backup depth. They aren't starters in this league and we don't need to wish they develop into above avg ones. Draft talented guys that can plug and play from day one and let Mahomes do his things. Tired of watching us go ultra conservative with a 3rd string back and this patch work Oline thinking it will close out games versus tough hungry teams. Nice seeing some different lb's play but that last scoring drive they got taken advantage of over the middle. Ward had a very sub par game but Sneed looks to be elite. D did a great job holding this O to 14 points. Kelce got the record which was cool and we got the bye. Hope they get the kinks worked out and maybe start a quarter or half vs the Chargers. Not pretty but good teams find a way to win and I'm kinda glad we've been in a bunch of close games. Gets the team battle hardened and ready for the playoffs.
  14. Not sure, Didnt Mahomes want Reiter. Wonder if Mahomes needs to learn some lessons in loyalty.
  15. Cranjis beat me to it. Funny how Kilgore goes in and Mahomes has time to throw. Don't even care about the D. Draft OC, OG, OT 1,2,3 in the draft and lets win the next 3 SB's. Mahomes just needs time. Either they can cover his wr's or he can run for days if he has time.
  16. I don't trust Andy or this team with time off. We looked horrid after the bye this year. We goof off too much each week apparently.
  17. Andy going all conservative last drive and our D getting worn down.
  18. Gonna win this 10-7 or lose 14-10 because Andy can't pull his head out and figure out that our Oline is dog crap and won't throw short quick passes. Instead puts the ball in our 3 most talented running back behind one of the worst Olines in the game. Stupid.
  19. Hate these play calls. Darrell Williams is such a slow runner and we pitch it to him 8 yards deep. Come on Andy and EB. Pull your heads out.
  20. Lets get Kelce the record and then get him off the field. Also why can't we throw like that last play. Short quick passes for 5 yards.
  21. Looked to me like Sneed forced that fumble. Did Gay force it?
  22. But but but he doesn't know the scheme like Niemann. Why hasn't Harris seen the field either. They at least seem to be in the right spot on a lot of plays where Hitchens and Wilson seem to play 3 yards from the LOS.
