  1. He will demolish records if he stays healthy. He could throw for 20 int's and 5 Td's down the stretch and probably still be ahead of everyone in history at the end of the year. People are going to hate KC fans before its all said and done we are going to be unbearable and I'm here for it......all of it!
  2. I think most of us can agree that we have big needs at LB, DE, LG, RG, C, WR (assuming Watkins departs) and possibly OT depending on Schwartz health and Fisher's contract size. We have possible solutions at a couple of those positions in house such as Rankins, Hardman, and Niang. Assuming our first and second rounders can step in immediately and help (the later is a bigger stretch because Veach likes reaching here). Which position moves the needle the most for this team, not in popularity but in production in the first and which two overall. For instance, a better Oline could benefit the team as whole more even if we pass on a defensive skill position player and that side of the ball takes a step back or vice versa. I think a stud DE opposite Frank Clark might move the needle just a hair more than an upgrade at IOL because I believe very good and capable starters can be had in the 2nd (we have a history of finding some studs there). 1. DE 2. C/OG The Bucs have probably the best LB duo in the NFL and a stud DLine in front of them and they didn't really do crap so while we need better LB play drafting one in the first doesn't really help this D out like finding another pass rusher. I think we've seen that our D is top 10 easy if we can generate pressure. Shoot, its the only kind of D that even gives us problems is pressure from the front 4.
  3. I've noticed it. He's far from really good but he's playing way better this year. He needs some help though. Hopefully this year will be the only learning year Gay needs and can step in full time and then we add another LB via the draft.
  4. Can we all agree the weakest link is Wylie with Reiter following closely thereafter? Why do I have the feeling that Rankins starts next week at LG in Allegretti's spot while we trot Reiter and Wylie back out there. In y'alls opinion whose spot should Rankin take?
  5. I agree with this. We have some historical potential but we can't seem to put it all together for a complete game. Sure we might beat a good team by 20 but that doesn't necessarily mean we play a great game or complete game. Also our coaching might not allow for us to ever do this very thing. Our offense is very rhythmic and slowing up or calling a cutesy call or vanilla call can get us out of sync. Reid doesn't believe in running up the score but I think our team could boat race some teams by 40-50 in this league if we went all out. I have that much faith in their ability. It's because of that belief that I'm more critical than others but my criticism is no way an indictment of the Chiefs being a bad team. Today was a great win and we weathered a late game come back which I think helps the whole team as we've won big from beginning to end, been down a decent amount and come back, needed a last second drive to win and needed to dink and dunk a full game to win. All these scenarios help us come playoff time.
  6. We got beat by the Oakland Raiders once and needed a last second drive to do it again...the same team that got mauled by the Atlanta Falcons. So yeah we have what it takes to beat anyone but we can be beat and our defense isn't as good as last year nor is our Oline. We are one rolled ankle of Mahomes away from being very beatable. I'm a realist. We are good and could easily win another SB or 5 but we are far from invincible and Spags has been outcoached quite a few times this year on D, something that didn't happen much last year. Again great win, but it was sloppy.
  7. Of because we gifted him 30 yards on that drive because Frank Clark forgot what he was doing? Isn't he the same guy that threw shade at Dee Ford for mental mistakes? I can love the win and love our team and still acknowledge Frank Clark and HB haven't done much on D this year or that our IOL is going to get Mahomes hurt if they don't play better. It was a great win but Spags let up too early and if not for Mahomes we could have very easily taken the L today. Shoot if Brady didn't gift us two INT we could have been down 10 on that last drive ourselves.
  8. Mahomes erases all those issues, but this team was built to win championships and if you play like we did in the 2nd half you miss out on those because a team sneaks back in an beats you. I know its unfathomable to think we could have done to us like we did to the Texans but our Oline is bad and a rolled up ankle prohibits Mahomes from running around and making those plays. We have a good team but we also have an MO of slacking off/letting up/going vanilla before putting a team away.
  9. 11 games in the books. 3500 30 TD 2 int. On pace for 5000 43-44 TD's 3 ints if you figure in his whole season. But if you figure in his last 4 games he's on pace for 5450 47.5 TD's and 3 int. His MVP to lose at this point. Russell would have to get to 50 with hardly any more ints to have a chance.
  10. Clutch Mahomes sealing the win. Big time win. A lot closer than it should have been but still a great win for the team! Hopefully we can see Rankin in there soon.
  11. Spags taking the foot off the gas earlier in the game when we were up 17 is inexcusable as well. How does Brady end up with 345 when they had 44 total yards almost at half? Everytime we've gotten pressure on him he's over thrown or thrown a pick but yet we rush with 4 or rush with Niemann as the 5th? If we are going to rush that backer why not put Gay in?
  12. We should have put this away before half. Team is talented but undisciplined. Missed opportunities on 4 offensive possessions. Running Niemann back on the field on important downs, Clark playing like a replacement level players, HB a day late and dollar short to every play, Reiter and Wylie can't give Mahomes even a 1 second pocket to step into. Don't have anyone to replace Clark with or HB but Niemann, Reiter and Wylie is another story.
  13. Niemann blitzing is the equivalent to a man running into the open arms of a lineman and then just sitting there. Worthless.
  14. But we will keep running Wylie and Reiter back out there week after week. Our best blocking performance was with Kilgore at C.....shouldn't be a surprise.
  15. Talk about make up calls for a clear roughing the passer/hands to the qb's face penalty. Wylie's was a hold but Fisher was a block and should have been a 1st down.
  16. Should never have that much time to run the route on 4th and 3. Knowing Brady lights up teams with time and falters when pressured....we rushed 3....smh
  17. Yep. Pass rush still can't get home and our offense as explosive as it is and it is super explosive misses lots of opportunities to end games early. We are beating a good team but we aren't close to playing really well. Brady has gifted us two TO or this game would be very very close.
  18. I know their Dline is stout but LG, C, RG have been abused and then throw in Barrets' occasional destruction of Fisher and its a miracle we are up 17. Truth be told we should be in the 40's already. Dropped passes, fumble, stupid play calling on running plays have stopped to many drives.
