Veach's only draft knock is he sometimes takes raw guys with upside way too early. Kpass, Saunders, and Speaks have definitely not played up to their draft pick. To some degree he did it again this year with Willie Gay in the 2nd. I don't have a problem with taking high ceiling guys but those 2nd round picks need to be producing something before their 2nd to last and last year and then it better be good production to warrant the first 2 learning curve years. Agree, Wharton has stole his spot.

I would argue just replace Ben Niemann with a fire hydrant and get another DE opposite Clark. Starting to worry that Clark is an overpriced run stuffing DE. He applies little to no pressure. Seems like he gets held kinda like Hali used too but without a partner in crime he was pretty blah.

And Sorensen does it to me again. lol everytime i bag on him he comes up with a big play.

That is mainly the reason why I don't like them. The weird play to Darrell Williams and last year to our backup TE Blake Bell, etc. It requires a backup level player to execute something complex and one missed block blows the whole thing up. Thankfully we converted on 4th and we are still in this. To close for comfort though for sure.
