  1. Yeah couldn't hurt for a month considering we really don't know what Snead is or isn't. Definitely don't want him taking their reps but if the stage is too big wouldn't hurt having a vet to fill in until Breeland gets back. Would rather have Logan Ryan though.
  2. I think we are in line for a 4th next year vía comp pick. Damien Williams might net us another low round pick in the off-season if CEH is all we hope him to be. Not sure how we could gain more for next years draft but I think we need more not less.
  3. Business move. He can still play but he is declining. They gave him 4 /55. This gave them a way to get out with little to no cap penalty. This is the Ravens org. They aren't stupid and are planning for next year like we are and they still have to get LJ signed at some point. Pure business decision. Pass as he plays the same position as Thornhill. He spurned us last year......screw him!
  4. Fisher, Osemele, Reiter, Wylie, Schwartz Senat, Rankins, Allegretti, Remmers , Barton Durant, Kilgore, Williams We have a good bit more than 8. I do agree we should keep 10 and stash 1 or 2 more on the PS.
  5. He was drafted based on his play as a CB his junior year. His safety play was very pedestrian but moved back because of team needs. Nice that he has a little exp there in a pinch but he was drafted purely as a CB.
  6. Gotta believe this isn't great news for Williams or Allegretti if those guys are backup center material. Older declinging avg players being brought in are never good signs.
  7. Heard Snead did pretty well against Hill yesterday. Could be nothing but going up against one of the best wr corp in the NFL at camp has to bode well for your development. If they can hang with our guys then they probably can do pretty well vs the competition. At some point the addage "Next man up" has to be practiced not just spouted. We have to see what these guys can do and the sooner the better. I'll take the rookie lumps if it means we have an avg/above avg db next year. Our offense can easily ease the transition as well. I wanna see Keyes, Snead, Felton and Ward hold down the fort.....would love for them to play Breeland over to the bench.
  8. Sammy Watkins is such an enigma. We probably don't win a SB without him but his play is so up and down. Can't stay healthy or string together a season or two that justifies his salary yet has 3 games in the playoffs that were huge. I think we all realize what he is....he's a luxury we only need to be ready come playoff time or until Hardman/CEH gives us another threat after Hill/Kelce.
  9. Udfa and bubble guys better be versatile and probably good at ST.
  10. Didn’t they relax on the substance abuse in regards to pot in this last CBA? If so maybe performance enhancing? Curious to say the least but Pennel has a history of suspensions. Maybe they knew about this and is why he came back so so cheap. Would make sense.
  11. That’s a good point. Gonna need quite a few rookies just to fill in for depth next year. I do think this will effect a lot of teams though and you will see a lot of players that want to play take the vet min. This could also reset some contracts which could be helpful getting in some one year guys who will wait until the cap goes back up hopefully the following year.
  12. I'm not sure if he screwed it or not. I'd rather have the extra year down the road at rookie wages. Remmers has experience at tackle and Senat is another option and I think Wyile could play T is a pinch. Looks like we have a wealth of avg guards on the team hopefully they can find two guys that can play slightly above avg. If Osemele is healthy he can play well above avg which would be huge. Curious about Allegretti and Williams as well. This offseason probably makes it almost impossible to unseat a veteran though unless there is an injury. My biggest concern as about the same as last year with CB, LB and IOL still being a question mark. Just seeing all those pictures has me pumped for the season to start!
  13. We have so many wr's at the bottom of the depth chart...curious to see who wins those bottom few spots.
  14. Maybe a little extra weight to help him anchor better....is biggest issue was getting bulled back into the pocket. Im willing to bet he loses 5-10 before season starts by workouts alone.
  15. We are already set up to win it again and again in 2021. The only way you trade a 1st or 2nd is if its for a young guy like Minkah Fitzpatrick with like 2-3 years left on a rookie deal that is a significant upgrade at a position of need a la CB or LB. I think Veach and Andy Reid along with Mahomes picked out the guys they want to build this dynasty around and they locked them up and paid them well. Now it's time to develop the guys around those pillars. We have the staff to do that and Veach is creative enough to constantly be churning the bottom of this roster for gems. You also have to have draft picks to do that. Trading them away will severerly handicap this team in the future. There will be injuries and contract misses and we need those picks to fill in the gaps. Next years picks will be huge and yes it will be an odd draft but the best front offices will succeed and thrive and possibly give us a leg up over the competition. Winning back to back is really special and imo a must if this team is going to be considered one day one of the best/greatest franchises but the other must is multiple titles. We don't have to sell the farm to win it this year. We are already so much better than last year. Almost everyone is back, year 2 for the defense and we infused quite a bit of talent and athleticism on both sides. Develop these young guys and then trade them off or let them walk and we stock up on picks so we can keep doing this for the next decade!
  16. No way TG gets even close. He was incredible no doubt but he was also force fed the ball for years and years. In our offense there are too many weapons now.
  17. Dude looks like he's in amazing shape compared to last year. That alone has to mean something.
  18. Thanks for sharing Palangi. You are right, Speaks looks a good bit slimmer. Almost like they going to run him at DE. Will be interested to see final roster and depth chart.
  19. Big time risk imo. He needs to have 8-10 sacks for him to even sniff 8 plus million which he already basically had and that has to come as a rotational player. Kpass is coming on strong and Taco also has something to prove. Glad it got done but seems risky if he was investing in himself.
  20. The purge has begun or at least the trimming of the roster in case of a big cap cut. Great restructure! Probably was told he would be cut so he reworked this year to get out of next years. I think he was still a 2 million dead money hit as a post June 1st cut next year. Unless I’m missing something that was a good shrewd move.
  21. Agree. Nice to see. Obviously Mecole is fast but I thought it was more long speed. Nice to see that burst and quickness.
  22. We don’t know his situation. He might have family situations like Damien Williams. To me I see it as a plus. He gets healthy, learns our play book and we get another year on his rookie deal. He wasn’t playing tackle this year anyways barring an injury. Now we get a 5th year in essence . Wish him the best.
  23. How much fun would it be to snag Brown down the stretch. Hill, Brown Watkins, Kelce and CEH lol. Brown obviously isn't worth the headaches but he is such a good wr.
  24. Exactly, we don’t need another Houston situation on our hands.
