  1. Wonder if Osemele was in the works because of Rankins. Seems like that might have been known before LDT made his decision. Either way glad we signed him.
  2. If we know they aren’t going to be ready week 1 then open a spot for someone who can be and possibly contribute as depth past that. Thompson seems like a reasonable pickup for depth and maybe he pushes Watts for PT.
  3. Nope wouldn’t even consider it. Mahomes + Jones >>>>>LJ + Donald
  4. Yeah I’m not convinced about Darwin either. Darrel is our bigger back with above avg hands for that kind of back and I think Washington could easily be what Damien Williams was and we have a couple other guys on the roster with decent upside for the that 4th spot. With that said good solid depth is good to have and Damien is pretty clutch so that does hurt a little.
  5. Meh if they voted in November I can see why they voted those guys ahead. LJ had a special year and Wilson was dealing. Donald is a freak too. As for last year he hadn’t gotten to 5000/50 and I think there was disbelief among players he could continue on his trajectory. Im not worried about this after I realized the voting was in November.
  6. No then we would say that they suck at drafting. I’m sorry trading away three top end draft picks for a player while great at what he does is still limited in what he can do. I wouldn’t want to pay a non qb that kind of money to in essence play a nickel backer role.
  7. Legion of boom doesn’t exist with Earl Thomas, trying to replicate it by adding a stud box safeties isn’t going to net the results that you have to have by trading two firsts and a third.
  8. Chase Young said that Niang made him realize that he need more that athletic ability to succeed. I think Niang has a very good chance of replacing one of our bookends as early as next year if needed but I love the fact we are already looking ahead to replace the two good tackles we have. He’s in a perfect situation here as he can be our swing tackle, heal up and learn as he goes.
  9. Chris Canty on the radio just said Jamal Adams is on the level of Ed Reed and Brain Dawkins and way better than Kam Chancellor. He isn’t even close to the same type of player of Reed. Let alone on that level. He is literally a smaller version of Kam Chancellor lol.
  10. Won’t ever drop to 175. They will borrow from future years to at least keep it at 198. Stinks either way but unless we don’t have a season I seriously doubt they drop the cap from the current amount.
  11. Hard for me to understand how a Safety that wants 20 million a year is worth two 1sts but a guy like Chris Jones couldn’t get an offer like that. I normally think the Seahawks are shrewd and do good deals. Hard to justify trading your next two years first rounders for a safety who is better in the box than in center field. Sure it makes them better but yikes!
  12. I think at this point in time anyone is a possibility. Clowney was asking for 17 million but rumors say he play for 9 million/1yr. Larry Wolford said he was looking for 7 million which means he could probably be had for a couple million less. I’d say 1/5m. With incentives that could reach 6-7 if he makes a pro bowl or all pro team.
  13. He’s a name but not sure what he’s got left in the tank.
  14. We have a ton of guys like that just need a few to step their game up and develop. As much love as Andy Heck gets when is the last time he took an unknown and turned them into anything better than below avg. The last two good C we’ve had were 2nd round draft picks. Not like we’ve developed anyone really for the past decade.
  15. If my memory serves me correct Wylie played a lot better at RG than LG. My guess is its Rankin at LG and Wylie at RG unless Niang or Remmers can outplay either for a spot. We reportedly had 1 million after rookie pool this year so that ~2.5 million will help give us a little cushion.
  16. We still get screwed to some degree. Cap will probably stay y he same next year to avoid a one year large dip but for that to happen the owners will probably want the cap to be lock for a few years and possible borrow from future years. If this had never happened then Pats contract would be a steal in 2-4 years. Not saying it won’t be overall but we need to cap to keep rising to give us flexibility.
  17. The location of the pass could make it difficult for backers to pick up or dlineman for that matter. That would be the only real advantage especially if he followed it as if he still had the ball. Still pretty risky though
  18. I think Pat said he left some on the table, implying that there was enough left to get a deal with Chris done.
