  1. I think if we win that head to head vs Bills and split the Eagles/Cincy games we probably get the first round bye. Don't see Baltimore running the table, but maybe they shock the world.
  2. That gets me excited. I think the offense can get it figured out. Maybe its not going to be juggernaut on offense but they can figure it out enough to be efficient. We can win a SB with this team.
  3. The 49ers are a good team and that D isn't bad. It will be a tough game for the Ravens. The Steelers already beat them once this year. I think the Ravens are a good team and they could be 13-4 but I don't think they will.
  4. I feel like he is a huge liability when Mahomes scrambles. He tends to hold and like you said just stops playing. There was a brief point I thought they might resign him but looks like LT in the first is a huge priority.
  5. What were your thoughts on the Oline? The announcers were mentioning it but the problem seemed to be the ball wasn't coming out quickly. Couldn't see the all22. Someone said they rewatched and no one was getting open so curious what y'alls thoughts are?
  6. The best record at the end of the season does. Not mid-season. Like you said we have the inside track but a lot of season left to play. Each team will have plenty of time to prove they are the best.
  7. Its more nuanced that to say guys are open. We don't know who the first, second, etc reads are. They might initially be open but if they are the third read then it doesn't matter. He also isn't getting a ton of snaps. Once we got the lead they looked to go a little vanilla. While we didn't run a lot Pacheco did have 16 carries which was more than last week. I think the playcalling is really bad. First drive looked great. Short, quick passes. What happened? Did they go press man? If so, don't we have man beater plays or are the wr's not getting open. Needless to say, plays took longer to develop and some of the plays are just terrible. Who didn't see that sweep to Hardman coming late in the game that lost 7 yards. We are predictable and NFL defenses are too good. I still think they get it figured out by the playoffs.
  8. Having the best record mid way through the season doesn't make you the "Best" team. Ravens are a good football team but they have their hands full down the stretch. Plus they do this every year and they better win it this year because paying LJ isn't going to help them down the road. We have 3 tough games left. Eagles, Bills, Bengals. They have 5 Bengals, Jags, 49ers, Dolphins and Steelers. The Jags have the easier overall road but they are the weakest out of the top teams in the AFC. Crazy to think we have a good chance with our O looking like utter crap.
  9. Now I can understand that for sure sith. Thankfully we still have a couple months to figure it out.
  10. You think we will make the playoffs? We will have a home game at worst. That was the other best team in the AFC.
  11. Just finished watching. Dang that was way to stressful for being up 21. Couple things. The O still hasn't figured out their issues and I think not adding a wr at the deadline might prove costly in the playoffs. We ran the ball better today but still had some idiotic play calls. That 3rd and 1 to seal the game has to be a run if for no other reason to burn a TO or clock. It also should be a gut check for our O to gain a yard when the D is expecting it. Mahomes looked better but is still holding it a long time. Finding a long term solution at LT is a must Smith isn't good and his penalties are costly considering our O can't seem to pick up a 3rd and long like it has in past years. The D is legit. Spags finally has the horses to open up his play book and they look stout. I even thought that Wilson TD was a push off by the wr. Big time win. I mean huge for our team. Still work to do on O but it looked a little better today vs a good D. Hopefully they can build off this win and figuring the rest of the O out.
  12. I think this is a huge detail for wr's on this team. It's more than just knowing the playbook. It's reading the defense how Mahomes reads it in real time and making adjustments mid route. Its an extra layer to scouting and you could potentially find the perfect wr for this "system" but if he doesn't read what Mahomes is reading or isn't on the same page then it could be a potential failure. Juju definitely had a connection with Mahomes. We are missing that at the moment.
  13. Don't know how to feel about this game. One one hand we could continue with the lackluster play and this game could get out of hand. On the other hand we could do to the Phins what we did to the 49ers last year. This team is an enigma at times. We play down to our opponent and then look like a completely different team vs the elite teams we play. Should be a great litmus test for us. Winning last week would have keep things close even with a loss. A loss here with the Phins easy schedule down the stretch could mean we miss out on the bye and #1 seed. Can't wait for Sunday!
  14. That was not my point. I don't expect to win it every year. Its hard to do and super hard to just get there. We area good team and can absolutely win it this year as well but if our wr's continue to play like this and we lose in a game we should have won (a la the Detroit game or on Sunday) and had the opportunity to address it then it is wasting a year of Mahomes career. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us and I hope these guys suprise us and develop, its possible. Expecting Mahomes to play for 25 years like Brady is also crazy. Smaller window overall and you should maximize every opportunity because like you said its incredibly hard to do.
  15. Welp. We are who we are. Sure hope this decision doesn't waste a prime year of Mahomes career.
  16. This is an annual event. Its been a while since its not partly the defenses fault though but every year our D looks like trash and the O sputters because they don't run the ball. Even back when we had JC. We would lose a dumb game after playing bad in a few and the light bulb would go on and we would start running again and Voila! the O would look competent again. Gonna be a great test of our team this coming Sunday. Miami has some pass rushers and their O can be down right scary. Good test for Andy and a good test for our D. Hopefully they got all the dumb stuff out of their system this game. I have this feeling that we are going to do to the Dolphins what we did to the 49ers last year....but then again we could get boat raced if our D stays on the field too long because our O still hasn't figured it out.
  17. I do agree that an anticipated throw would have been and should have been an easy pass/catch. Mahomes was off and definitely hasn't looked like his normal great self this year minus a game or two.
  18. Maybe, but what read was Moore? 2nd or 3rd? If he was the first read then sure but we all know Mahomes doesn't want to throw it to Moore if he doesn't have to.
  19. The psychological toll is immense no doubt. All the pressure to win every single week and this year Mahomes has fewer weapons that any point in his career. I think they get it figured out but that is definitely a possibility Okie.
  20. The defender was already moving towards the thrown and eventual int. Had he thrown it to Moore the defender would have been going the other direction. It appears to be open Moore is moving left to right towards the defender. The defender would have only had to move slightly to the left to interfere with the pass. Its not nearly as open as you think it is. You can pause it and see they aren't 4 yards apart and that is with the defender reacting the thrown ball. JMO though. Agree MVS was mugged with a no call. The int was a badly thrown ball though.
  21. What made this loss worse was how they didn't figure out anything. It took us gifting them turnover after turnover just to keep them in the game. They are a terrible team but sometimes its their week. If it keeps Payton and Wilson in Denver another couple years then it was worth it.
  22. Isn't 28 like peak male age. If he was 30 then sure I could see that. He often times throws off balance or not completely set. Y'all are right though, he has thrown more deep duck balls that have been short this year.
  23. I don't know if he has regressed. I will admit his deep ball has regressed some but he never really had to develop it much when he had Tyreek. Just throw it deep and Hill would track it and frequently come down with it. Has to practice throwing it to a wr not just throwing it up. Now with that said he doesn't have anyone outside of Watson that will go up and fight for a ball. He also is dealing with two new tackles. Takes time to trust those guys in tense moments. I for one feel like the offense hasn't evolved much in the past couple years. Its expecting our QB to raise the level of all wr's while simultaneously overcoming what seems like predictable play calling. I also think the NFL has evolved to the point that even elite qbs need good weapons to compete. Betting on the potential of our wr group in the offseason was a gamble but it was also based on the believe they would continue to develop. Its becoming clear the gamble failed. Fortunately Veach has time to correct it this week. I know no one wants us to use draft capital to fix it but so far its the one area we haven't been able to draft well. The window is now and not getting him some help will be a decision that everyone regrets if we loss in the playoffs because of what appears to be a huge weakness right now.
  24. Reese, that Taylor gif gets me laughing every time lol.
