  1. Well we just signed DeAndre Washington RB from Oakland so apparently they aren’t satisfied. I like Darwin just not as a primary back mainly because of his pass pro. He’s got a skill set that we can use.
  2. Chiefs added DeAndre Washington RB to a one year deal. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2020/4/8/21214288/report-chiefs-agree-to-one-year-deal-with-running-back-deandre-washington Veach keeps adding bodies and allowing us to draft BPA with more picks now that they address some needs on the team.
  3. Well the fact he tried every other linebacker at that spot before settling on Ben tells me he was the bottom of a very pathetic barrel. I think he has value as a backup because of his great ST play but outside of knowing what he’s suppose to do on the field his play is beyond pedestrian.
  4. What are you talking about? He’s 24 years old and was knocked up last year. He wasn’t the bell cow at Tennessee and split carries with Ingram until last year. He’s been to 3 straight pro bowls. He would take us over the top.
  5. He was a part of that personnel package nothing more.
  6. Im not ready to give up on Speaks. We tried to convert a penetrating DT to OLB. In one offseason our staff have turned around Kpass. I think Speaks can develop into a solid starter. Offense I’ll go with Allegretti.
  7. After winning a SB it makes me realize how pathetic our team has been for the last 2 decades minus a couple DV years and even those were so ridiculously lopsided. I can't stand the Pats but its really incredible considering the last 2 decades they've been to the SB almost 50% of the time. I hope our organization can prioritize the right guys and keep the cupboards stocked for this Mahomes run. Good thing I guess is if they screw up this Jones deal then we can more than likely get out of it after 3 years easily in the time frame of Mahomes prime. As for LJ, he was talented but when you work a back like a rented mule to the tune of 750 carries in 2 years then he's gonna break down real fast.
  8. I would have considered a wr in this draft a possibility but after resigning both DRob and Sammy I just don't see that happening. If we can come out of this draft with a starting DB, LB and IOL then we could significantly be better than last year and deeper. A repeat SB win is a rare thing but a very good possibility with this group. Can't wait till this offense puts together a full game or at least a full first 3 quarters because if they do then most of the starters will be sitting in the 4th because we will be up 28-35 points. Get Mahomes a stud C and lets watch him break every freaking record in the record book!
  9. Yeah agreed that would be a steal for us considering in our system he could put up Kareem Hunt numbers and easily net a comp pick worse case scenario. I love Damien Williams, and I might be in the minority here, but he benefits a lot from our system. He's a good back but Kamara is an elite back when healthy and would turn our offense into the quite possibly the best in history with ease.
  10. Dude is a pitbull with the ball in his hands and in blocking and on the other side is the fastest freak in the nfl. Gotta suck for opposing db's. Everyone of them have tried and everyone of them exposed either by Hill or Watkins.
  11. Will the league start if all they can do is televise the games? Owners would take a huge hit in that scenario.
  12. Looks like an intriguing signing. He seems to have a good bit more upside than Bell, Harris or Yelder but like some have mentioned he doesn't look like a blocking TE.
  13. How does that work since its a one year contract. I've never heard of a cap hit after a contract has expired. I've heard of it when you cut a player before his contract is up. I'm no capologist so maybe someone could explain?
  14. Would he take that? Yeah I would love that, 2/14. I just figured he would do another prove deal but with the risk of injury 2/14 isn’t bad at all either.
  15. Cut Colquit and LDT and sign Breland to a 1/7m deal. The 5m from Watkins is for the draft pool. We can cut Reiter after we draft a center
  16. Obviously its more than he's probably worth to most teams but considering all that is going on right now and shortened offseason. This was a great signing. Also it puts us in a position to net a comp pick next year when he hits FA. I for one think he's going to light it up this year. He stayed healthy for the most part this year and dominated in the playoffs. He knows the system and with DRob back we only need to upgrade that IOL and our O is better than last year.
  17. I got back and forth on Jones. He's an incredible player and a dominant force up the middle. If we pay him 21 million a year we are still a good team and very capable of winning it all next year however if one thing goes wrong then it could turn into a nightmare. We would have little to no room to manuever and we do have some pretty important pieces coming up in the next year or two like a pair of tackles and a ward and a couple of glaring holes that we have failed to fill long term as in the entire lb corp and db corp. Sure getting through with Berry's contract and getting Hitchens out the door next year help but they don't solve the problem as we don't have a lot of draft capital and haven't in quite a few years to develop these young guys in time. I would say best move is to move on and get the best you can for him this year and keep retooling, but I won't be upset either way.
  18. The original comment was about 3 TE sets and that article states he has been trying to replicate 2 TE set from his time in GB. That article is almost 10 years old referencing his time in GB which was 13 years before that. As much power as Andy Reid has, don't you think that if he wanted two stud TE's he would have gotten them sometime in the last 23 years? The NFL has changed and so has Andy Reid. While he's always been innovative he doesn't run them as much as people think. He also hasn't made it a priority since he's been here. We have spent little to almost nothing outside of Travis Kelce on the position. Kelce is that seem buster and while I agree adding another talented TE would be helpful I'm just not sold Andy is that concerned with that. But again that just my opinion lol
  19. I agree. Does resigning your own FA's count against the comp formula? (e.g. Breeland) You are totally right about the LB and CB class. I've been hearing some stuff about Murray not being the greatest fit, not sure how true that is. He surely can't be a downgrade over what we ran out last year though. I think Baun might be the guy and he might end up being better than both. Queen is a freak but he's smallish too for what Spags typically likes at LB. I would be happy with any of the 3 but you won't find anything but long shots at 63 at the LB position. Still though I think Rankins is an upgrade and Wylie back on the right side might really help our IOL. Not sold on Reiter though and would love drafting a center this year but maybe Allegretti is a dark horse there. Should be fun once things actually start picking up.
  20. Yep that's the one. We could have dropped Hitchens like a bad habit, kept Ragland and signed Schobert, Littleton, etc and been reasonable set at LB this year.
  21. Because if our IOL was better he would have time for the actual plays to develop and you wouldn't need herculian efforts from your wr's to get open in .2 seconds. I understand you gotta have both and I agree that it would be nice to draft a development wr's with big time upside but ignoring the IOL is gonna get Pat killed or limit the ability of our offense. Obviously jmo though.
  22. I think that is a misconception. I believe those 3 TE sets were Andy's way of creating something because Alex couldn't or wouldn't throw people open. Why bunch up the field with Mahomes.
  23. You should realistically be able to address 2 of the three with starters. With the way Veach has drafted and what crappy options we ran out of the field last year at Will and IOL its not far fetched to imagine a late 2nd and 3rd rounder player being a pretty decent upgrade. I still think Breeland gets resigned for a pretty decent contract in the area of 3/24 in which our entire team is coming back pretty much with the addition of 5 rookies and our rookies from last year having a year of experience....we should be a good bit better regardless.
