We have some very good players on D but we lack smart players. Why hold there? Why? Stupid. Its plays like that, that cost teams games.

Depends on draft. Gotta think Hardman, Saunders, Thornhill Fenton, Ward and guys like Pringle, Darwin, and Kpass will continue to develop and I think compensated for the loss of Watkins, Erving, prob LDT, and eventually Hitchens. We have a draft and some flexibility in FA. We will be a good bit better next year imo. Doesn’t take all pros to solidify that interior oline. Add a rb, wr, iol, lb and 2 DBs which is very doable and we could be unstoppable. But eventually as Mahomes continues to develop we will tapper off some in overall talent but not for a couple years.

Media is trying to turn every honest comment into bulletin board material. The Titans Dbs comments weren’t anything more than commenting on mobility and what he said is true. Hills comments weren’t directed at anyone in particular just a confidence that they can beat man coverage which is true. Everyone trying to get worked up over nothing. Let’s go play the game, eliminate turnovers and kick their tails back to Nashville.

This game has the feeling of when LJ was tearing up the league and we played the Colts who had a bad defense but got Bob Sanders back and shut us down. If we don’t beat ourselves like last time we played we win this game regardless of how Henry plays.

What happens when Hardman puts in a full offseason with Hill and Mahomes and learns to run better routes? Glad we got him and that is no knock on DK and his abilities.

That is good news. Heard Wylie was a healthy scratch.....have they made the switch for good? Hope so the line looked really good on Sunday and Mahomes looks very comfortable stepping into the pocket.

I honestly don't remember what I wrote in the GDT thread but I don't think I was jumping off a cliff. I have all the faith in the world that Mahomes could score plenty of points even after we started so badly but we got in that hole because of other's mistakes. Mahomes can't catch his own passes, block or play D so while he's the MVP and best player he can't do it all. So when they got up 24-0 I think it was fair to feel like this was going to turn into another Chiefs choke job and it had nothing to do with Mahomes, because the team around him wasn't going to give him that chance or at least that was my thought process. Can't tell you how glad I am and was to be dead wrong. One of the best 3 minute stretches in Chiefs history for me.

Well to be fair you waited until after we won to write this. Up to the point I think it was a fair assessment based on our past to ask that question or even state that fact. Sure we should all have more faith but we have all seen some horrific choke jobs in the last 10-20 years. Hindsight is 20/20.

I think some of us forget he went for 190 yards the first time we played and we had that game well in hand with a fumble lost and an inexplicable choke job in the final two minutes. This was vs a hobbled Mahomes and lots of others missing. Not saying we are going to dominate but it’s not like we haven’t seen Henry go off. They are gonna have to figure out how to score 4-5 TDs to beat us though.

Why would Jets dump a stud RB for salary cap reason for a slightly above avg LT and give away their 1st round pick? Or they could draft a LT and keep Bell.
