First off Nieman should never see the field unless all other LB's are injured. He is not even a jag...he's just bad! Hitchens missed a gap earlier in the game that gave up a big run and it was right in front of him. There isn't an answer. We are stuck with these dudes unless Veach goes out and finds a capable coverage LB.

You could but then they would just line him up and run the ball with another S instead of a LB on the field that wouldn't have gone well.

Yeah the defense played tough. Our LB's just aren't good enough. Spags can scheme them up to a point but not having a good coverage backer just exposes us.

When Aaron Jones went out Spags played aggressive blitzing in man coverage. In the 2nd half when Aaron came back he wen't back to zone because Aaron Jones was in the game. We lost by 7 to a very good Packers team. I know we gave up 31 points but in reality we gifted them points with Shady's fumble. I think they are playing better but our biggest area of need is with out a doubt LB. If that is what Veach needs to see then he needs to go get one that can cover a RB. Our Dline will get stouter and Thornhill will continue to get better. The db's aren't great but our LB crew is missing a coverage guy and its not something we can mask. Would have been nice to steal one away tonight but it is what it is. On to Minnesota. And the worse division in football is AFC North....followed by the AFC East and then maybe the AFC West. Ben Nieman is slow and not good. And that blitz took way to long to develop. Can't complain to much though.

Negative 1st down plays aren't as easy to overcome without Mahomes. Oline just crapped the bed on that play. Everyone of them did.

Don't like that play. Matt doesn't zip the ball fast enough for that to work.

Wow a 1st down run. McCoy is an underused weapon.

Yeah hope they use that more when Mahomes gets back.

Kpass has looked really good this half as has Mecole Hardman and Hill. Gonna be fun to watch both of them when Hardman gets more polished as a wr.

Great job Spags and D. Actually everyone looked good that half. I jumped on Matt early on but he played really well and the D settled down after those two TDs.

As bad as we were with clock management the Packers just showed us what worse looked like. Yikes.

Andy again with terrible clock managment. Running on 2nd down burns a TO or 25 seconds. Instead we give the ball back to Rodgers with more than enough time to march down and score. Lets go D. Get a stop.

Would have been nice to actually run on that 2nd down to eat clock.

Was hoping for more from Watkins to give us the opportunity to maybe trade him for a low round pick. Oh well. Glad Hardman is coming along nicely.

It definitely helps Matt Moore out when we do run it. Seems like the whole team has settled down and turned this into a game. If we can get some points here and at least keep GB off the field its been a great first half.
