But is he responsible for the O? Dorsey drafted Mahomes, signed Schwartz, resigned Kelce, drafted Hill, etc. Who has Veach brought in? Hardman and Watkins. He gambled on scrubs up front and overpaid Watkins (like every other FA on this team. Now before you go off on the Mahomes pick I will concede that he would have drafted Mahomes but outside of that this team is less talented by a long shot in comparison to Dorsey’s. So yeah I’m gonna rip him about the O and deservedly so.

Its definitely a welcome sight. With so little help in house on the way next year a guy like Ward can really help a team out.

Except Tom hasn’t led district sales in 2.5 years. Our D has been horrid for 3-4 years straight. I am one who thinks Veach should be on the hot seat but I haven’t said anything about Spags because like you said he’s only been there a year. Veach has had multiple seasons just to build a decent avg D and we keep getting worse. i do get where you are coming from but I remember the Marty years. Always relevant and good and yet most of us knew that unless we had a miracle we weren’t going to the SB. Up until the last two weeks I actually believed this team could just play well and we could get there. I don’t believe that anymore. Starting to feel like we need everything to line up. And the reality is this team isn’t going to get more talented it’s only going to get less because we have to pay Pat. I don’t think anyone should get fired now but if our D losses us a playoff game again and keeps regressing then someone should be accountable at the end of this year. With all of that said, I’m clinging to hope that we can get it figured out but who knows. Need to beat the Donks this week for sure though!

Its good players for 1 really good player. Scherff helps us keep Mahomes up and turns our Oline into a strength and Kerrigan gives us an edge rusher to compliment Clark. Speaks comes back next year for that penetrating DT and then we just need a run stuffing DT. Hate to lose Jones but 2 bird with one stone.

Its kinda of been a perfect storm brought on by ours truly that allows these teams to win. Our Oline is banged up, Mahomes is banged up, we are without some of our best pieces and we still fart are way to 24 points with a missed FG and two drives that refs killed. Its not pretty but its not Alex Smith futility either. Our defense isn't going to get miraculously better but when our O starts clicking teams won't be able to run 50 times on us because that won't get it done. I do agree though that some dumb team will think they can though and get embarrassed for it. One last thing. We need to stop taking our foot off the peddle. Andy did that in the first couple games and I think it kills momentum, allows lesser teams back in the game, and gives other teams a false sense of security. We need to be obliterating other teams and instilling fear across the league. We don't scare anyone any more and won't until Andy gets his head out of his butt and starts calling a logical game for all 4 quarters.

If you look that RB was covered by Wilson, Ragland read the play wrong, missed his assigment and looked lost on the play. It was totally his gap and he screwed up. And good luck on any DE in the NFL bringing down Watson with 5 yards on each side to shake and bake. Clark actually did a good job getting a hold of him. I know he hasn't lived up to that contract but our defense sucks not because of Frank Clark.

Yeah Robinson doesn't seem to get seperation very well. He would be a trade option as I think his value has peaked and with Pringle stepping up and being more reliable we would have 4 good wr options.

We are soft. Tired of all the jokesters we have on this team(Jones, Nnadi, Kelley etc). Not that they are bad players but we need to have a mean streak. Give me more Clark, Tyrann and even Ogbah who ripped into Ragland for anmissed adsignment on that Watson TD run

I agree. Its why I'm dumbfounded as to why Spags didn't load up that box in the 4th and force Watson to beat us with his arm. He's a good qb but he has been known to float some up and we already picked him twice earlier. Ifs and buts....
