  1. How does a DT hold on a run play? I don't know if I've ever seen that called in my life before?
  2. I love Chris Jones but maybe there is areason why we haven't given him an extension. Our DT's are just as bad as our LB's. They all need to go.
  3. We finished 10-6 or better almost every year Alex Smith was our QB so no not even close.
  4. Each week we win makes it that much easier to sit him out until completely healthy.
  5. Yeah Reuter and Wylie won’t do long term. Maybe the Rookie Allegretti (app) can step up but Our left side is getting manhandled.
  6. I think he gets gassed easier than those high motor guys. I do like your idea though. That would be a much stouter Dline as well.
  7. You don't have to get sacks to effect a potent offense. Case in point....the Detroit Lions. I just want to see continual progress on the D. I think Claiborne helps and I think we will get better as the season goes on. However I think Anthony Hitchens is a lost cause. You can't hit on every FA pick but if Veach can find a trade partner for a box of peanuts that would be good. Best LB's on this team are Wilson, Nieman and Lee.
  8. I wasn’t saying that to be a jerk but I’ve watched both ways before and when you know you win it is more relaxing and I’m one of the worst ones on here about being critical during the game it’s how I deal lol. And yes it’s almost never quite as bad as that thread makes it sound.
  9. It was ugly but you gotta win ugly in this league if you want to be a top seed year in and out. The Pats won yesterday over Buffalo in a game were Brady threw for 150 yards and a Int. We have issues but so does every team in the NFL.
  10. Did you know who won before you watched it? If not, then that’s a completely different perspective of the game.
  11. I love the player Clark is and I don't mind the contract he signed but coupled with the comp to get him yeah its easy to second guess. I'm seeing more Tambi Hali in his prime than Justin Houston in his prime. He will be fine and probably get his 10 plus sacks for the duration of his contract. He isn't the reason our D is bad though so while he is low hanging fruit right now he isn't the problem.
  12. It is refreshing for a high caliber player to own it in a very public way. I think it is coming. I also think if this secondary can be a little better with Claiborne then everyone up front will benefit. 5 sacks today isn't shabby though and ultimately we won which is all that matters.
  13. 3 fumbles in 3 straight possessions killed any and all momentum after we caught back up before half. The O looked pumped to get on the field and Hardman fumbled look like it took the air out of the team. The D didn't look great today but they showed some life when it mattered and Spags called on some blitzes on key drives for them. This was the Pats game plan but this time we won. Run the ball and control the clock and keep our O off the field.
  14. Has Damien Wilson been our best LB? Yeah I hate that Hitchens hasn't even lived up to part of his contract. We really need him to elevate his game.
  15. I hope there is a little improvement. That will go a long ways towards helping this D.
  16. Yeah and that return TD put them right back on the field. They were on the field a good bit during the 3rd quarter.
  17. Everyone loses games but I think the LJ luster has worn off and he is who most of us thought he was. A very talented runner who thrives off of playing poor defenses but put pressure on him and he can't consistently deliver. That and giving up 33 and then 40 show the D isn't what they thought it was.
  18. I love being wrong when it means the Chiefs benefit.
  19. The D today wasn't. Matt Patricia had a great game play. Now Mahomes was off and if our offense had done what we could and normally do then they can't run the ball all second half either but still his game plan was solid vs us today.
  20. I think Ward is what he is but looks earily similiar to Nelson last year. Always right there and a finger tip away from making a play but instead gets worked. Claiborne should help. Fuller looked just as bad as Ward but they didn't happen on that last drive.
  21. I agree. We aren't there yet but I think Spags D is going to be good enough, if not this year, for us to win a SB. I also think if the secondary is improved then our front 7 could get home just a little more often. I think we are more aggressive and more talented than last year but still a little unsure at times. Pretty great to get a win while they are figuring it out and Claiborne should help some on that side of the ball.
  22. I will say that I think Spags is doing the best he can with what he has and a shut down corner would help the entire D more than some on this board would give credit. Locking down one target with one man can allow a DC to mask other areas of concerns and it can also give our front 4 an added millisecond or two to get home. They scored that last drive by going right at Ward over and over. I'd rather trade a pick if we are seriously making a run though.....
  23. Something that is surpringly not a concern today was Cam Erving. Our starting DE's. Kpass and Ogbah have looked better imo than Clark and Okafor. I am thankful we have 4 fully capable DE's though and the rotation did look like it helped at the end of the game. They were getting to Stafford but our DB's don't turn around and look for the ball so it doesn't matter. Our LG and C.....I thought Wylie was a lot stronger and meaner that what he has played but dude is getting manhandled and sadly enough he's not as bad as Reiter. Reiter gets moved around by one player way to easily. Wonder if Nick Allegreti gets a look when Fisher gets back and maybe Cam gets another look at LG......Something has to be done to give Mahomes time to find his WR's. ---- The secondary.........Tyrann made one big play but dude is looking more and more Dirty Dan level of talent than a slightly below elite level S. Ward is what he is and I think he's maxed out his talents. Breeland should get an extension or new deal (along with Chris Jones). Fuller missed an easy TFL and looks like a guy we should wish farwell at the end of the season. Claiborne can't get up to speed fast enough. The WR's.....as fast as they are didn't get open today and when they did only Kelce really showed up. Watkins and Hardmans fumbled killed any moment we had and I don't even want to talk about DAT. And finally our ST unit......I've never seen the unit look so pathetic and dysfunctional. We couldn't return a kick without a penalty and the turnover was the cherry on top of that pile of crap. With all that said we won the game and games like this only help down the road. We can get better and just getting some guys back from injury will do wonders. I also think we bought into our own hype a little and got a little too confident so hopefully this game teaches us that we can lose to anyone on any given sunday. And of course we have Pat "Freaking" Mahomes for our QB....the future looks good!
  24. Its all good, it was a wacky wild game easy to see how you got it confused.
